Yes, I myself can find out where the UTXO are without difficulty, as the best known are M/0, M/0H, M/44H/, M/49H..., M/84 and 86 (few support the last 4 scripts together). Bitcoin Core (legacy wallet) and Electrum use derivation paths from the beginning of bip32. Recently Bitcoin core adopted the BIP39 standard (without mnemonic). At the time, I tried to restore the wallet created in bitcoin core through xpriv on Electrum, out of curiosity and I was unable to do so. Even getting the derivation patch right. Regarding the shortcomings of BIP39, electrum already contains a seed indicating the version number in the seed itself indicating what type of addresses to generate, but only it uses its own standard. Which I don't technically get how it works and how the electrum seed version is better than the BIP39 as they claim.

Fiz uma pesquisa se existe algo semelhante nos processadores intel e encontrei isso https://www.adrenaline.com.br/intel/vulnerabilidade-cpus-intel-expoe-dados-sensiveis/Em resumo, praticamente a mesma coisa, uma vulnerabilidade chamada "Downfall" que afeta os processadores intel da 6º geração até a 11º (Meu notebook é intel 11  ). Ela permite que determinados registros no hardware sejam acessados via software, com malwares obtendo informações sobre os aplicativos, possivelmente roubando senhas e chaves de cripto. Pelo meu conhecimento não-muito-técnico, pude entender que é quase a mesma coisa. Porém diferente dessa vulnerabilidade da Apple, a intel liberou uma atualização de firmware corrigindo a falha, porém afetando a performance. Acho que no caso da Apple, também pode ser corrigido, mas como é a nível hardware, é mais complicado, é mais fácil a Apple lançar o M4 com essa vulnerabilidade corrigida. Uma coisa legal que eles podiam fazer é aceitar a troca de um macbook com chip M para abater no valor de um novo macbook com processador novo corrigido. É bem provavel que existam vulnerabilidades em nossos sistemas que ainda não conhecemos, mas ainda vivemos tranquilamente. Uma vez li algo que parecia ser "absurdo"... malwares poderiam se espalhar entre computadores atravéz de sons inaudíveis utilizando as caixas de som e microfones dos notebooks, possibilitando que uma ataque fosse realizado à até 19 metros de distância do alvo, de forma parecida já falaram também que é possível interceptar dados que sao gravados através dos sons que são emitidos pelos HDs (os velhos dispositivos de discos rígidos... ponto para os SSDs).
Agora, além da pergunta sobre "registros conhecidos" de ataque, é preciso se perguntar o quão prático isso é... ou seria apenas alguém filosofando sobre as possibilidades de algo que na prática é praticamente impossível de se obter algo "aproveitável"!?
Fora os esforços/custos envolvidos que muitas vezes podem não compensar o ataque.
Enfim, não desmerecendo a notícia e muito menos a sua intenção de trazer esse conhecimento até nós, mas minha opinião é de que isso é apenas mais uma vulnarabilidade que vai ficar só na "possibilidade" mesmo.
A maioria dessas falhas divulgadas por esses acadêmicos nem são exploradas, acredito que elas avisam as fabricantes primeiro antes de veicular as nóticias, para darem tempo delas tentarem corrigir o problema, senão seria uma má prática de mercado, estou certo? A vulnerability has been discovered in Apple's M1, M2 and M3 chips that allows attackers to access the private keys of Mac devices through side-channel-attack. Modern processors have a technique called "prefetching" to optimize performance and activity patterns. The prefetcher stores data in the cache memory, this data acts as a locator to access information more quickly for the user and in this way it can leak information, allowing attackers to access it via a side channel attack. What caught my attention the most, from what I understood, was the possibility that an attacker could inject malicious javascript code into a site, so that when Mac users access these sites, the malicious script acts to obtain the cache data and consequently, If a user has accessed private data such as private keys, seeds, etc., the information may be saved there temporarily. Dorival Júnior achieved some good successes with a few Brazilian teams in his manager career until now. However he has never managed a national team until this opportunity. É por isso que a XP fracassou, pois o seu público não conhecia criptomoedas na época e nem se interessavam, e quando tiveram a oportunidade, a Xp não fez a implementação direito, criando uma exchange indexada (onde não podia sacar criptomoedas). Além de não estudar o mercado, ela adentrou em momentos desfavoráveis do mercado, enquanto o Bitcoin estava em sua baixa, onde havia pouco interesse dos brasileiros (normies) por criptomoeda naquele momento. |

I can understand the 12% tax on revenues for gambling businesses but the 15% on the individual is insane. At least there's a set minimum amount that would be taxed but why is the rate too high for ordinary sports bettors? Most of them are not making profits from gambling so that part doesn't make sense to me.

Since last year, here in my country (brazil), it has been discussed by the senate and from what I researched, in 2024/jan the law came into force that taxes bets of any nature involving online and physical bets. ( link) The purpose of the law is to increase legal security in the betting sector in Brazil, (taxing revenue from bettors for the government? LOL) In nutshell: bettors will have to pay 15% on the winnings received from any bets, regardless of whether the reward is small or large, and companies will have to pay 12% on revenue. This is for physical bets or bets made online. Lula (thief corrupt president) vetoed income tax for winnings from bets of up to R$2112 (~425 USD) per month. The funny thing is that he didn't take into account the loss that bettors have before calculating the tax (that's a lot of bullshit). Summary of the story: the government wants to be our partner only in gains, but in losses, we alone are forced to bear the financial losses. Very convenient, right? What do you think of this? Boa, eu também passo pelos mesmos problemas que você ao recomendar um vídeo que simplifique ao máximo e de fácil compreensão sobre o Bitcoin, mas em frente ao mar de opções, fica muito difícil de escolher ao ponto de pegar qualquer um mesmo. Na minha opinião, a melhor pessoa para explicar Bitcoin é o Fernando Ulrich, as vezes não pode ser melhor pra maioria do povão, já que ele usa alguns termos em inglês e/ou difíceis, mas não tem como fugir disso, o indivídeo tem que pesquisar também, ir atrás da informação. O melhor vídeo que assisti sobre Bitcoin, que na minha opinião foi a melhor explicação que eu já vi, foi logo o primeiro vídeo que eu assisti que me introduziu no assunto, o primeiro de todos, mas infelizmente o canal não existe mais e muito menos o vídeo. Por isso, se você tem um vídeo no YT ou em qualquer outro canal de informação, faça download dele, o mesmo vale pra livros, artigos etc. O nome do canal se chamava: ContenteTV e o vídeo se chamava: "Bitcoin, entenda de uma vez o que é..." em Setembro/2015 e tinha cerca de 5 min de duração, quem aí lembra dessa época? |

Ótima analogia! Essa semana estava criando uma conta em algum lugar, o serviço logo me avisou que minha senha já tinha vazado em outro lugar.. até eles tem essas bases de dados.. Essas carteiras poderiam criar um aviso do tipo para seeds fracas. Por isso se faz necessário ter uma senha diferente pra cada conta, mas eu admito, isso da muito trabalho, as vezes até eu meto a mesma senha de um serviço que eu tenho conta, mas eu sei que eu to negligenciando minha segurança e devo pagar as consequências caso der ruim. Pra esses casos, um Gerenciador de senhas como o Keepass, BitWarden é uma mão na roda, ele gera senhas aleatórias pra você e você pode manter salvo offline ou deixar na núvem, eu prefiro manter offline e fazer backups periodicamente do banco de dados que contém as senhas. Voltando nesse lance da seedphrase contendo a mesma palavra 12x como "word", como que isso da checksum? Sendo que se eu for escolher a dedo 12 palavras da lista de palavras do BIP39 provavelmente vai dar checksum inválido? Entendeu? Como que é possível uma seedphrase conter 12 palavras iguais e dar checksum e outra não dar? |

Fato interessante, existem várias seedphrases compostas pela mesma palavra, mas se financiar algum endereço gerada por essas wallets, dica thauzinho pro seu dinheiro, pois pode ter certeza que seedphrases assim são monitoradas por bots de monitoramento, eles conseguem sacar desses endereços em segundos após detectado alguma nova transação. |

Boas pessoal!
Sou novo aqui no fórum e no mundo das cripto...estou com algumas duvidas....quero investir em bitcoin para longo prazo...talvez meter 100/200 euros todos os meses e esperar ao longo dos anos que vá subindo um pouco...mas náo sei que wallet usar. Ía usar a okx ou binance mas disseram me no topico da bitcoin para não meter em brokers por causa dos hacks...então não sei bem. Tenho a metamask mas já sei que não dá para bitcoin. Li sobre a Electrum e instalei, mas não entendo muito bem como posso meter lá o dinheiro...porque não dá para comprar diretamente com euro/dólar. Alguém aí me pode dar umas luzinhas?

Não precisa ter tanto medo assim de corretora, se for para negociar, seja comprando, vendendo e trocando criptomoedas é uma boa opção, ela não é indicada para guardar seus bitcoins, ou seja, usar como carteira, para isso existem softwares específicos que farão essa tarefa melhor e com segurança, já que as chaves de acesso ao seu bitcoin estarão guardadas localmente em seu PC/celular. Antes mesmo de comprar bitcoins, recomendo que você pesquise e assista vídeos no YouTube sobre como funciona uma carteira, endereços, transações, backups, seedphrase e esse tipo de coisa, pois as chances de você lidar com algo que está além do seu conhecimento no momento e perder moedas por descuido são muito grandes. É muito comum hoje em dia as pessoas entrar de cabeça nesse mundo das criptomoedas, sem saber nada ou quase nada e acabar perdendo fundos desnecessariamente, porque não salvou a seedphrase, não fez backup, apagou a carteira achando que milagrosamente ao reinstalá-la iria ver as moedas... esse tipo de erro bobo. Então pesquise, consuma conteúdos, pesquise aqui no bitcointalk mesmo, no google, de início, você precisa entender como o bitcoin funciona e qual é o seu propósito, depois como funciona uma carteira, quais tipos de carteira existem e como guardar com segurança. |

What comes to mind now is that 99% of wallets only offer a single form of backup: via the BIP39 recovery phrase, which in itself is a complete backup that will restore your wallet and coins. Another alternative would be more than one backup alternative, such as an exportable keystore encrypted with a user-defined password, where in this file you would specify the derivation path, public keys, WIFs, xprivs and everything necessary to restore the wallet in the future. Qualquer das formas, também acho que o Coldcard deveria ter um sistema de alerta, para tentar evitar este tipo de casos. Muito provavelmente esse individuo iria sofrer o mesmo problema, mas pelo menos, haveria um alerta prévio para tentar evitar/minimizar estes casos.
Concordo, eu não conheço a coldcard e o pouco que eu conheço é assistindo tutoriais de YouTube, porém acho que ela chega a avisar sim na tela, mas o usuário pode ter seguido sem mesmo ler, o sistema pode ser seguro o quanto for, mas infelizmente não é a prova de falha humana. A coldcard é a melhor HW, quero muito ter ela um dia, mas ela fica muito caro se for importar e corre um risco alto de ser taxado, ela tem até gerenciador de senhas derivado da sua seedphrase, achei isso super avançado e me deu vontade de ter uma (mais ainda). |
