141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLOAK] Private, Secure, Untraceable & Decentralized Digital Currency on: July 06, 2019, 06:54:13 AM

Dear Cloak Community,

Unfortunately, we didn't receive good news...

Bittrex has announced the delisting of CloakCoin on the 19th of July.
...

Yeah Bittrex's actions is beyond my comprehension. They delisted so many good projects recently. They will most likely and up like Poloniex or even Yobit.
Would be great to have some new exchanges on board who are focused on real projects and not just vaporware.

Good thing is that Cloak is to be listed on Beaxy, a new exchange that's gaining traction, am I right?

Thanks for the vote of confidence, I think the final decision will likely be to not remove the zero and continue as is. The one thing i'd ask of the community is that after the new chain kicks in, let's get it listed on even more exchanges.

I myself have an exchange integrated into my platform and will add TALK to the list

I support keeping that zero Smiley

As for the exchange listing, that might be a bit challenging at first because the community is too tiny right now and needs to grow so that its members got enough voices when applying for exchange listings.

P.S. What is the planned date for the snapshot?
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][1000 SYNC] Proof of Stake now run by BLOCKCHAIN DEVELOPMENT COMPANY on: July 03, 2019, 03:04:26 AM
if you open the rpc port ( by default is 24240 ) you get 5 connections .
Also helps to contribute to the network

Not the rpc port, the client connection port which is 24241 for Sync.

Lol, I am not developing the project, they simply asked me to get them a good up to date vanilla PoW codebase. I'd rather not link the two projects anymore, there are fundamental differences that cannot be resolved. the code for TALK is about 80% done and i hope to get it done by monday. testing during the week.

When i'm feeling tired i have been researching stuff... i may have come up with a method for P2P end to end encrypted messaging. my next step is to see if this patch can be made to be operable between different blockchains, ie send an encrypted message to any user on any chain that has the code.

Hey thanks for the update! P2P end to end encrypted messaging sounds really great Shocked  Hopefully it works out.

The vast majority of Pos code ot there is painfully outdated. Because of this i had to re-think my strategy and started from a fresh bitcoin 18.0. To fully add Pos and test it takes time, please bear with me.

It's ok, take your time.

BTW, wanted to ask: Will TALK be forked into Crypto Talk - the project you are developing?
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RADS] Radium - Decentralized Identities, Custom Assets, Elections, and More! on: June 26, 2019, 02:37:13 AM

147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][1000 SYNC] Proof of Stake now run by BLOCKCHAIN DEVELOPMENT COMPANY on: June 25, 2019, 04:49:18 AM
Yeah, I've got some news.

1. There are only 2 connections left in the wallet.

2. There are very few coins stacking.

3. We'll miss another bull market again.

4. If Sync depends on the adoption of the "Pareto" project, that's going to be difficult, Pareto looks dead.

5. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/sync/ don't show the statistics anymore.

6. Last week, I turned 5. Smiley  5 years Hodling .

7. How many people are holding Sync Huh

1. I have 6 connections:
  • addnode=162.212.156.17
    addnode=46.101.126.142
    addnode=23.233.12.184
    addnode=93.115.28.30
    addnode=142.134.86.61
    addnode=71.115.165.173

2. Enough staking to keep the chain moving.

3. Not if SYNC gets listed on Binance Cheesy

5. No statistics cuz there is no block explorer and it's listed on 1 dead exchange

6. Happy Hodlday!

Ok, guys Crypto Talk Discord , join there.

Joined, thanks Smiley

A hardfork is another coin/project.
Why not both the original chain, and a new spinoff?

Make sense. Like ETH and ETC for example.
But who is going to be developing and maintaining the old chain?
I can't tell for other users but I will most likely stop running the old client so support the network and switch to a new one.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ☑☑☑[ANN][BSD] BitSend - online since 2014 - Bittrex - Litebit.eu on: June 19, 2019, 04:57:51 AM
but bitsend doesnt seem to have a great community, telegram is just below a thousand members and nothing seems to be happening there, I believe it would have been very easy for bitsend to accomplish many things easily if they had many followers and price should have been worth more than it is now

Well that could be easily achieved if the dev team came up with some nice updates and advertise them properly to attract new users to the project and remind the old users about it Smiley

Crypto is a very dynamic field and you can't just hibernate for too long or your place will be taken by others.

Strongly disagree.
You have a functional block chain that is 5 years old.
https://github.com/BCCproject/BTCtalkcoin-1.50
May 14 2014
That is the VALUE.

I also strongly disagree. Doesn't matter how old the chain is. If there is no proper development you can consider the coin dead.
There are tons of examples out there. LEAF, LOT, SBC, BAT, TRC, PXC, BET and many others.

On the other hand if the developers constantly upgrading their projects (that often includes coin swaps), that means that the project is alive and healthy and will most likely attract new users.
Successful projects that swapped: DASH, NEO, XVG, HC. Those are the only ones that come to my mind currently.

The new chain can be easily implemented to chainz explorer and Novaexchange by simply notifying them in advance. Don't see any problem here.
The biggest problem that we may face is a small community, but that also can be solved in time.

Good luck with Binance guys!

Also Beaxy exchange would be a great addition, some people predict it will be the next Binance for the US citizens.

And community members can recommend RADS for listing on Beaxy discord channel in "listing-suggestions" section. So don't be shy Wink

Ive missed 18 months of Parkbyte staking because of  YoBit,  is that criminal  asset  seizure?

You are among many thousands of other screwed customers of yobit. My advice would be: keep away from that scammy exchange as far as possible.

Since bct is where most bitcoin/altcoin discussions were/are , talk could expand and become more like a crypto communications coins. potential for development of an app that allows users secure communication, privacy and maybe crypto news feeds.

These are 2 different chains.
And should be treated that way.

Noone can communicate with all holders of TALK since it traded on yobit and has Russian and Chinese holdrs.
So depreciating and decapitating a 5 year old WORKING chain is not a good idea.

The idea is to rebrand anyway.
The idea is to trim the deadwood.
So make it 2 chains.  Like Vericoin and their VRM spinoff.

TALK remains as is;
new chain rebrands to development of an app that allows users secure communication, privacy, crypto news feeds, and more.

If you have the chops, a co-chain, like RADS or NRS.
So TALK can be mined/send/received on the new client, and the old client.

I think needs to move on as one chain, no need to create multiple chains. What's the point to keep the original 5y.o. chain with no development? No one will be interested at it. Neither Developers, nor exchanges and users.

Luckily we found a Dev who is capable to help upgrade and move the project somewhere. I'm convinced that it is better to upgrade, swap and re-brand if necessary. At least it will breath some life into the project.

P.S. Forget about yobit, they are dead end. Some coin devs were trying to contact them for months if not years to update the clients but they never even responded.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitBean is Now Bean Cash | First v3 POS | First 20MB Max Blocks | 3+ Yrs. on: June 02, 2019, 11:40:41 AM
What do you mean beancash blockchain getting too big for laptop?  So you mean once you download it and sync it... it gets bigger as time progresses?  3.3gb is pretty big for a wallet.

Can someone here who downloaded beancash wallet tell me if doing the download it and then make it sync faster will work and do they recommend that?  First off... no matter what, the wallet will be 3.3gb either way?  But if i do this, then i could sync it less than 1 hour... then have beancash sent from exchange to it?

Does anyone here store beancash in an exchange?  I use bittrex but i have to move my coins out of there as they no longer serve where im located.  So do i just download it and let it sync 3 days instead?  I prefer to download wallet... then have beancash sent from bittrex to it asap...

Apparently instead of doing something about it you prefer sitting on this forum asking questions over and over again Undecided
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: May 31, 2019, 03:48:39 PM

thank you so much! sent you a merit!
ended up deleting the whole blockchain and syncing from scratch, it doesn't took long...
added the nodes anyway.

I miss the updates sometimes.

regarding exchanges: bittrex is great! but binance would be a great addition!

Binance is shady af. Lured Blocknet devs into sending them details about their BlockDX and then used that info to create their own "DEX".
They're basically a bunch of thieves and criminals.
