Cryptonite Progress Report

  • Exchanges: I'm building a full blockchain (thanks bitfreak for the old block explorer snapshot) that should help the exchanges, like BTC38, get their wallet online (which failed to date because of missing transactions); it will also help the block explorer(s) have complete information about the coin
  • Development: I'm testing some patches to speed up block download (catching up and other operations); this will help the exchanges as well, and also all the users have a better experience with XCN; commits coming soon to github
  • When we feel the wallet is stable enough, I will remove all the "printf" or turn them into log entries (so they don't bother the terminal any longer)
  • We will start planning some promotion soon: first a stable coin, than make it move ;-)

Sounds really good pallas! Keep up the good work! I will be ready to promote this great coin when the time comes  Smiley

Guys if you want XCN to be traded on more exchanges, show your interest and contact them with a proper request! (Poloniex and Bittrex is a prioritiy).

Then just export the private key(s) with the old wallet and import it into the new one ;-)

Yeah, that looks like the best solution. Did that for my old wallet and now having no problems at all Smiley

I'm assuming it won't be the easiest thing to do without a developer/team involved.

Some exchanges just ask for a working github and a listing fee. That's why I posted that donation address on the previous page.
Not too many investors are interested in this though Undecided

That looks muchhhhhhhhhh better Smiley thanks a lot, i appreciate it. Let me know if i can do anything else to help out.
You're very welcome:) Right now I'm trying to figure out how to get SYNC listed on any of the exchanges. If you'll have any ideas on this matter, feel free to share them.

Hmm...my wallet is all sync'ed up and shows all my transactions and staking profits from 2015, but it says i have 0 coins. That's not good...

Maybe try "repairwallet" command in console.

Heh...I'm sure invested.  I've also run a node or two for years even thru the chain getting stuck for a while last year.  Sure has been a long string of disappointments.

yup...me too. I have a lot of SYNC and had a lot of expectations.

Well the least we, the investors, could do for now is get SYNC listed on the exchanges again.
So see my post on the previous page.

nice work...my wallet is official up...and hopefully syncing soon. I have 2 active connections.

My wallet is up and staking too. Having 11 active connections right now:) Give it time to find more peers.

Can't he just hard fork the chain before his funds got taken? (if this is the correct story). If he continues without his SYNC, the apparent thief may use his SYNC to buy TBT - he won't let that happen as that's one of the main reasons he created TBT...to save his investment. Plus they may dump their TBT straight up, which will also be a problem.

Guys forget about that Gw3. It's pretty obvious that no one stole his SYNC (cuz who would've needed the coin that's barely alive). He just used it as an excuse for not developing TBT cuz he changed his mind. End of story lol

I still don't understand what they can't see: old transactions? old addresses?
I already sent them the blockchain snapshot link, it should include the block data they need.
Or, maybe, their wallet is corrupted, difficult to understand. They should have backups, though.

From what I understood, their main concern is that when you sync from the scratch, older transactions are shown as "Unknown". So I also provided them with an older snapshot...

Coinmarketcap just updated XCN info with the new BE and ANN link Smiley

Pallas, did you happen to send the coin request to Bittrex? And did Bitfreak pass you the control of Twitter account?

P.S. And btw, someone has to really explain to btc38 in their native language about the wallet, cuz:

"service staff 小妮: Hello, XCN wallet malfunction, suspended deposit and deposit, please operation after the repair, to inconvenience you, I'm very sorry."

upd.
BTC38 support last answer: "service staff 小妮: Wallet can normal open and synchronization, but can't import the old wallet data, shown as "unknown", can you solve?"

Hey pallas, I just got reply from Bittrex, they are saying that to list the coin, the developer have to submit request using this guide:
https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202583854-Submitting-a-Coin-to-Bittrex

So when you have time, please take a look at it.  Smiley
Is XCN needs voting to add at bittrex?

I don't think that they have any voting system for adding coins. Pallas just need to provide them with all the neccessary info about the coin and its unique features so that they wanted to list it themselves

no  bter.com  ?

I didn't use bter for a long time, I heard they blocked deposits but withdrawals are working.
Can someone confirm that? I will send them a notice anyways, just so they know there is a new wallet.

Yes they did block deposits for some reason. Replied to me that I kept my eye on my wallet. Probably will re-enable those soon.
