Hello everyone. I have a problem claiming my Bitcoin cash from the private keys. I had a BTC balance on Electrum wallet before and after the swap. Moved my BTC after the swap to a diff address for security reasons. Now cannot use my private keys, every wallet (Electron cash, coinomi, Bitcoin ABC ) says that there is no funds on those keys, but the block explorer confirms that my Bitcoin Cash is there: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/address/36XmauGXBMEMjMNbRXxmCWy1X8g9SLEwFC. What am I doing wrong? Anyone has an idea? Thanks. Wait for sync and make sure the wallet is connecting? Everything is synced and connected to the right servers. Also tripple-checked that the public and private keys match. |

If you have the Private Keys for your BTC Address on Electrum and if you had a Bitcoin Cash Core Desktop Wallet setup, you could simply import the Electrum BTC address to your BCC NODE Desktop Wallet by importing your private keys. Unfortunately, this approach means you need to download or sync the full BCC blockchain (which is plus 136 GB). There's a YouTube Video for accessing BCC on Electrum, have you checked this link out as another less technical method? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7--pmPa11E Yep I know how to import private keys into different wallets, but looks like mine are not working, although I'm 100% sure that they match the addresses on BCC block explorer. |

If you left your BTC in your Electrum Wallet before and after the fork, you need to have the private keys that match your Electrum BTC Wallet Address.
Is the BTC address (36XmauGXBMEMjMNbRXxmCWy1X8g9SLEwFC) the Electrum BTC Wallet Address, or the BTC address you transfer your funds to?
Yes I DO HAVE the private keys of the Electrum BTC wallet. And that address is from Electrum where I stored my BTC before and after the fork. I also have priv. key matching that address. So from my understanding everything should work flawlessly. Unfortunately it doesn't  . |

You will need to extrapolate on this sentence (because knowing what you did before and after the time of the fork and where you had your BTC) can determine whether you can access your BCC or not.
By 'after the swap' do you mean after the BCC Fork: At 18:24:41 UTC, August 1, 2017...?
Hi, yes I mean after BCC fork, 2 or 3 days after it. Most of the guides advice to move BTC to a different address before importing the private keys to BCC wallets. I just can't understand how come my private keys do not work, so weird. |

Yes, as I said in the previous post, the BE shows the correct balance of BCC on those addresses. But the private keys still don't work for some reason. |

Just be careful to move your bitcoin before you export and then import your private keys in the bcash wallet. When you send your bitcoin, the bcash will remain on the same adress. And after you have emptied the bitcoin adresses, is it safe to export and import the private keys.
You can also use elektron cash to import the private keys.
I also moved my BTC to a different address for security reasons (after the fork of course). But now I cannot import my Private keys to any BCC wallet (Electron, coinomi, ABC). They say that there is no balance on those private keys, although the block explorer clearly says that my bitcoin cash is there. Any ideas on this matter? |

So what will happen to btc balances on siite? It looks like all funds are gone..  It's a bit ironic. Gox got goxxed due to btc-e - Now, it's like a reverse goxx'ing.... Scary/sad stuff. Let's see if this guy actually makes it out of the prison - Pretty sure the russian mobsters who "own" this guy won't let him spill much if anything... Time will tell I guess... Not sure how people who do this kind of thing sleep at night, but then again when you are insanely rich you probably feel a bit ahead of the pack.
