The thread has answered this already.  You can't have two devices on the same IP.  Change the router IP.

One thing I have noticed is I keep blowing the cube fuses after 24 hours running on high.  Since you will be gone for an extended period you may want to run them on low for the time you are away.  Hate to see you blow your fuses and lose out 2 weeks of hashing.
484  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: December 19, 2013, 03:17:58 AM

thx I went ahead and got one from eBay.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/331088232778

hopefully its here before I leave on vacation. that should work perfect for me to run my 4 cubes out in the workshop and not heating my house

Got my router today. Setup took literally 5 mins .. Now I am heating up the garage instead of my house!! =)

Thanks again!!

BTW I used this video tutorial to guide me:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vS-Jk-v0Aaw

Awesome!  Glad you was able to get them working so easily.  I think I might move mine to the garage as well during the winter.  It's basically an icebox right now in there.

consider going with a "80 plus gold" model

Thank you for the comment Singlebyte.  But boy those 80 plus gold models are expensive!  The cheapest I could find is a Rosewill and I'm not comfortable getting this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182071

This Corsair, the brand that seems to be most recommended is currently $130:

http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Professional-Series-Modular-HX750/dp/B0090I9VZI/ref=sr_1_2

I am hoping to spot a holiday sale somewhere.

They are pricey, but you come out ahead very quickly when running 24 hours.  Just make sure you find a well known brand you trust because the "plus 80" certification is voluntary by manufacturers and I am sure there a shady people out there falsely marking their power supplies.  Good Luck in your search!

You guys might want to also consider going with a "80 plus gold" model.  Anything less efficient is just money spent going to the power utility company.  Since you will have these running 24 hours you really want an efficient PS.

Allright...now working.....Not sure why....

Cube was delivered in deep freeze stage.  maybe it needed to thaw!  LOL
488  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: December 17, 2013, 06:08:49 AM
Having difficulty getting my new cubes set up.  I am fairly confident I have everything set correctly but it is not connecting to my proxy and not hashing.

What do the LEDs on the back mean?  I have a solid RED one for status. (I assume it just means it is offline and not working)

I am just using default setup right now, but I did change ports to 8332 because the proxy showed this is the port it is listening to.

I have have a 1000W 80 plus gold power supply - Plenty of juice and nothing else on it.

I have turned off all software firewalls on proxy host and in router.  Also disabled antivirus settings.

I am not using WIFI...everything is over cat5.

I can ping cube & proxy machine both directions

I received two cubes, and have tried both.  And only trying to get one going right now on power supply.  They both seem to be properly functioning.  Same lights/indicators

I can log into web interface and make changes with no problem

I quickly tried "getwork" on OZ pool to bypass stratum proxy, but no luck either.  (But I was pretty hammered/frustrated by now!)

Ok guys, any ideas???

Its looks shopped, but its real, the guy posted a video.

actually it looks too dark black, compare it with her above tatoo

so either yeah photoshop or more likely I think just temporary tattoo. cuz he had a video showing it (in darkness)

Probably one of these:

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I have found it easier to
reconfigure your subnet mask from 255.255.255.0 to 255.255.254.0,
which makes accessing the blade or cube default configuration page
much easier. Change the subnet mask on your router once and from then on you can
reach the default page from any browser on your local network, as well as everything else on
your local net, blades, cubes, proxies... Working flawlessly for me for a week or two.

Nice tip....was unaware off this!

Thanks

Try to ping the cube.  It sounds like you might not have network or subnet set properly.  Possibly an ip conflict.

Yes,  I read it.  There must of been a user or two on my ignore list preventing me from seeing all the posts in their entirety or I overlooked it. I thought it was a crazy post.   Lol
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will probably be dead within 6 years. on: December 16, 2013, 05:37:11 AM
Bitcoin userbase is growing 10 fold per year (hence the blockchain is growing 10 fold)

3 million users estimate now
30 million 1 year
300 million 2 years
3 billion 3 years
30 billion 4 years

Before 6 years there will not be enough people left in the world to become bitcoin users
Moore's law will outpace bitcoin once there are no more people left to use bitcoin.

30 billion!?   Lol......how many people do you think there is here on earth?   Huh

Hint.....your WAY off!

I can run Netflix over mine, so 4 cubes should be no problem.  Just follow instructions in link provided and you should be good to go.

I use a a WRT54g router with custom firmware (dd-wrt).  Real easy to setup.  You can also flash dd-wrt on lots of different routers.

Thanks,
This would work?

Yep....

Or you could go a little cheaper and buy a used one with DD-WRT installed from ebay.

Removed two of my negative posts regarding Dave and his service from this thread.  Initially I posted warnings when he first advertised his service advising against using.  I was attempting to warn new people of the tremendous risk of dealing with someone new that "claims" they can help and not steal your money.  Dave has now proven to members of the community that his service is valuable and he has been honest.

Additionally I heard the nice review letstalkbitcoins gave!

For these reasons and to be fair I have withdrawn those early posts.  So as you read through the thread be aware the gaps in the conversation are probably where I deleted the posts.

Good job sir.....

We need USB support, so we can mine stratum.

Does anyone know if any developers/manufacture is working on getting the USB ports up and working?
