1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: Today at 08:51:28 AM
Yes bro, I don't see any other year as profitable as 2017 in my few years of being in the crypto space and am sure some of the crypto old timers will equally agree to this, 2017 was a year of life changing for many people but for me I was still a newbie so I didn't take much advantage of the period.
2017 was a year in the history of cryptocurrencies that was very remarkable, many crypto enthusiast or hodlers earned massive profits, many ICOs boomed and Airdrop was instant hit and profitable, yes it can be refer as the golden year of cryptos ever since the price has not reached a new ATH to surpass the last one at $20K.
However the price had not done badly  market volume and price Cap had  been very encouraging, cryptos acceptance is gaining ground on daily basis, many exchanges are coming on board etc all these are good signs and indication that the future is very bright.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people run away from trading!!! on: Today at 07:10:23 AM
1. Lack Of Proper Trading Education

2. No Risk Management

3. Lack Of Patience

4. Having that mindset that trading is an easy money generator.
5. They set up goals basing on others positive outcomes
6. Emotion

Lots of experience or things that you should face on first before for you to able to learn.
It will vary on each person because not all would have the same effort on learning things up.
People tend to forget that experince has value that money can't buy. Investing your time to actually learn about crypto thoroughly is the right way to go Smiley
You can't buy experience with money, a lot of people are not ready to sit down to learn thus gain experience before trading, experienced traders will tell you the charting hours it took them to able to be profitable in trading coupled with other aspect of trading mentioned by the OP whereas newbies are all always having the impression of trading to earn a lot of money without the learning the rope of trading, personally I can't the count the number of hours spent on studying charting techniques having discarded most of those lagging and colourful indicators in bid to study trading with only charts and this has been yielding positive results.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not your keys, not your Crypto Ė Kucoin Hacked! $150m Stolen. on: Today at 05:22:33 AM
Its quite unfortunate that Hack of such magnitude could happen with such a reputable exchange like Kucoin, big lesson to newbies and all of us to always avoid storing coins our any exchange, they are not safe now, there are affordable cold wallets and online wallets where with your key secured, I believed this will not be the last hack, as hackers are getting more sophisticated and easily penetrate any exchange firewall to steal coins.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: Today at 04:26:24 AM
Upon voting, I saw that Manchester City was able to get 37% of all the votes but upon checking the standings, Leicester City is in the top followed by Everton.

I voted for Liverpool as I see that they have what it takes to win this 2020/2021 season especially if they will continue what they are doing right now.
Well Man City just played 1 game while Leicester, Everton and Liverpool played 2 matches so..
I voted City but I agree that Liverpool showed some decent playing which lacked at the latest games at the end of the previous season. We will see anyway it is too early to judge. City will face Leicester and Liverpool will play vs Arsenal in the next days, intense games for both  Wink

I agree with you, it's still too early to conclude which team will win the trophies. But so far Manchester City and Liverpool's games
as champions are still on the right track to become winners. It's true that in a few days, Manchester City will face Leicester and
Liverpool will play Arsenal. This will be a big match that must be watched, the match will definitely be very interesting. Especially
Liverpool vs Arsenal, this is a test for Juergen Klopp whether he can beat Arsenal who are on fire right now.
I don't think these games will be highly competitive as being speculated because the league had just started all the teams involved will play will caution and most of them had started picking form, some of them has new players in their team, I believed until they played five matches and above before we begin to see the usual sparks and form, quite an upcoming and interesting matches especially Liverpool vs Arsenal with the latter winning the last two matches against their opponent.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: September 24, 2020, 05:53:15 PM
Bayern win coupled with the both teams to score prop at 2.04.

I'm thinking it's gonna be 3 - 1 Bayern.  What do you guys think?

I agree with your prediction and I have played that Bayern will win with both to score on my ticket. But your odds look way to low for that kind of bet. I have played it on SB @2.25 (without boost). I would probably skip that game if I had odds like you mentioned.

Its a sure wining for bayern obviously the odd is okay @2.04 Sevilla will try to prove a point tonight however I don't think they will be able to match Bayern prowess in soccer based on the calibers of players Bayern is parading, both team scoring is also sure because we can't rule Seviila chances of scoring a goal based on their pedigree in Uefa Cup
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should bitcoin be introduced into the educational sectors on: September 24, 2020, 04:42:33 PM
I agree with your opinion.  At one time no one knew anything about bitcoin.  Bitcoin was limited to a small group.  But now Bitcoin has spread all over the world.  People around the world have learned about this bitcoin.  Now the knowledge of this bitcoin should be spread more widely.  School, college, and university curricula should include a chapter on bitcoin and blockchain.  Like you, I believe bitcoin will be the only medium of digital transactions.
Learning of bitcoin should start with the basic aspect of the technology which can be incorporated into the high schools curriculum so that the students in that category can have a first hand or introductory part of the technology, while the complex part should be taught in the Universities.
Experts in Blockchain technology are in high demand globally, this technology is gaining ground and wider acceptability across the globe due its capabilities in proffering solution to problems in almost every sector of the economy e.g chain supplies, Medicine, Election etc
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why don't you stop rushing to promote bounty from a scammed bounty manager on: September 24, 2020, 03:14:14 PM
Unfortunately many hunters are too desperate some of them even almost appear like they are beggers sorry to say but the truth, hunters are the reason why project team treating hunters as irrelevant once the bounty campaign is over, despite the unusual rules from some project, many people will rush in without reading or carrying.
Majorities of these hunters are newbies who accept whatever was thrown to them hook, line and sinker, some of them enters as many bounty campaigns as possible especially social media campaign irrespective of whether they are going to get paid or not thus look like being treated like beggars as you rightly said 'a beggar has no choice' who will caution them against promoting scam bounty campaigns? of course nobody their projection is that participating in like 50 campaigns perhaps they might get half paid while the rest might be scams they wouldn't bother.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have Good advice for investors on: September 24, 2020, 02:09:45 PM
I'd preferred to lose at first so I can find where I got wrong or a thing that I needed to enhance my capabilities and knowledge. Besides, experts do losses as well even though they are good at technical analysis, strategies, and huge knowledge. Because this is not a ticket for us to ensure that we are always at good, we still have weaknesses, and definitely we can't stop it. It could be of big advantage but certainly not it gives assurance that we can't suffer any losses.
Losing big at your first trade can be prevented only if you study first before you invest. Losing is indeed and expensive way to learn in trading so as much as possible better to prevent it. Also, if you donít have enough knowledge you might become a victim scammers which usually targets those who donít know much about the market, thereís a lot of enemy in this market. Making money is not guaranteed, but the chances of winning is high if you have strategies so keep on working to learn more everyday.
Why losing big in the first place? when it is always advisable to trade with the amount of money you can afford to lose, you don't just throw or invest on something you have no idea about e.g trading.
Losing a small portion of the total portfolio will enable a trade to  go back to the drawing board study and research about the market, analyze to check what went wrong with the trade make possible corrections or amendment re-enter the market again with the same amount you can afford to lose when profiting use a good money management in a long run you will be profitable.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for salary on: September 24, 2020, 01:17:42 PM
I am become curious about paying an employee using Bitcoin direct to it's Bitcoin wallet.
Like these days, some of our salary are paid in different method, some are being deposit on some bank accounts, some are cheque, some are cash directly.
I think it is base on the negotiation between employees and employer for the system to work for Bitcoin payment.
Many organizations pay their worker with fiat becaus is very common with the individual to use.

Once an agreement is made between the employer and the employee if possible include the organization or company lawyer as a signatory in case of any breach I believed payment of salary with bitcoin is very possible, however the instability in the price of bitcoin can make or mar such kind of payment.
I hope with time and in the nearest future some employers of labour will adopt that type of payment as salary instead of fiat and it should be optional based on employer request as it is now people identities is very important without passing through a third party like banks.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for blind people on: September 23, 2020, 07:52:05 PM
Maybe blind people will be having hard time while setting up their wallet and it is nearly impossible for now but in terms of spending we can still make it possible with QR code scanners or crypto debit cards but until now not much place to spend our cryptos so I believe there will be some technology to assists the blind people to live normal life as everyone.
In the nearest future developers should be able to transform the braile machine used by the blind for tracing and reading of documents into an app which might possibly enable them to set-up a wallet, and do other crypto related stuffs without any hindrance, its very possible with high tech and artificial Intelligence all these put together can be channeled into an idea of creating the machines for visually impaired although the technology will be highly sophisticated and very expensive.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When we think that crypto is being used by criminals to move tons of money on: September 23, 2020, 05:09:25 PM
Fiat is used in much larger fraudulent schemes, and it is stolen much more often, why don't you write about it?

People are already aware and veteran about many Fiat fraudulent schemes and mostly higher people are behind it. Since the beginning fraudulent are rampant in fiat money unlike in crypto which is something new and not easy to know that's why people in crypto space still not aware about the operation of many scammers online.
More of those activities are done behind cover whereas they always tarnished the image of cryptos by attaching it use to money laundering whereas the main culprits are fiat launderers who perpetuate those fraudulent activities undercover.
The article had listed out massive criminal activities of the banks its sad that this is not getting enough media attention its only when cryptocurrencies is involved then a widespread negative campaign of calumny will triggered to call the attention of people the bad and criminal use of cyptos.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: September 23, 2020, 03:03:36 PM
This is actually what we are experiencing here in my country at this strange time. Inflation rate on food products rose higher recently to about 5-8%. Its really sad to know that a lot of people couldn't afford to buy foods now because of being jobless and they were running out of money from their pocket. That is why you can see a lot of starving people anywhere and poverty become more worst.
I thought it was in country only that is experiencing hike in food stuffs not knowing that it cut across many countries, joblessness and unemployment means shortfall in pushing power in that country, how come the hike in the price of food stuffs? when only few people are buying, Covid-19 had really devastated many productive economy, in my country the agricultural sector was hard hit during the lock down and also flooding of farm products due to heavy downpour this has also caused a lot of havoc on the economy.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: The debt based Economy on: September 23, 2020, 01:37:46 PM
So if we change the system that money will be not Born from the debt?
What will be other way then?
And how it will be controlled how much money is given away to people to use it.

This Question is specially for those who is against this debt based economy?
Every country has its own debt history and it will never fade away because it will continue to grow over time. If thereís no debt then that country must able to support their needs on their own and its really hard to fund your projects. The barter can be a good alternative just like the old days but i think it will not work on this era, cash debt is everything now.
Majority of countries globally are laden with debt even some of the world powers are not left out they also run their economies on debt some countries obtain loans to fill their budget deficits however how those loans are being managed is questionable in some of those countries due to high level of corruption.
The paramount objective of some of those debt laden countries is the well being of their citizens if there is the need to run the economy on dept provided that whatever hash conditions their people passing through just like the present pandemic if obtaining a loan will cushion some of the effects or problems thus plunging their economy into debt its all well and good.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who has the eye that looks into the future? on: September 23, 2020, 07:34:49 AM
Few years back, I could remember Cryptocurrency wasn't really known by most people and the idea was joked with, even I myself didn't have a thought on it, but the growth of crypto is now alarming that almost all my friends are into one or two of it. Looking into the future I suggest Cryptocurrency will suspend other past used currencies and take over, what do you think?
Not so sure about that. Even though crypto has greatly improved there still a fact that they can still be abolish or somehow become a second preference to financial system. I dont know but thats how it works. Im still bullish about it and believe crypto will continue its wings to fly. Its been few years and its become a trending situation for crypto. More interesting things will unfold as we continue to explore crypto market.
It seems to me that cryptocurrencies have a very good perspective. The cryptocurrency market is very volatile and is in constant development and improvement. New interesting projects constantly appear which attract new participants. I am confident that cryptocurrencies are the future of the economy.
I am not surprise that the wise and those who has wisdom had been hodling their coins most of them had foreseen the future prospect of cryptocurrencies the bright side of it.
The growth of cryptos had been tremendous in the recent years, many adoptions, exchanges, traders etc springing up on daily basis is a good indication of the rapid growth.
The huge daily volume traded and large Market capitalization are also a pointer to the fact cryptos future outlook is very bright.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How would the church affect the gambling industry? on: September 23, 2020, 05:49:22 AM
Churches role is to pray against spirits of gambling i.e pray for them to desist from it completely they don't need to dabble into affairs that serves as extra source of income for certain people.
Church needs to play their primary role a spiritual body in that regards because Religion shouldn't mix with politic
In my country there is a high rate of unemployment thus the teeming unemployed youths has to retort to gambling to generate income for themselves while the government too are getting taxes from lottos, casinos and gambling industries.
16  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk, as a financial institutes. on: September 23, 2020, 04:33:55 AM
Bitcointalk is where people make money by participating in more bonus programs. People always bring signatures and try to spam them on topics to make money.
However, I still see the quality and knowledgeable topics. Also, we have other topics such as economics, politics, health, gambling, altcoin announcements ... These topics are also very interesting and interesting.

Yes , you probably earn here when you participate in promoting a project but I think the first and primary aim of Bitcointalk forum is to give and spread knowledge about crypto and some other related things. It is a group that sharing thoughts and information that others can also read and understand.
The quality of knowledge in Development & Technical Discussion and Bitcoin Technical Support is high class I cherished those two thread when it comes to learning stuffs that are too technical and complex relating to cryptos and  If couldn't  get first hand information from other sites I usually check those threads, a lot of technical issues had always been resolved or finding solutions to some issues related to wallets etc are well taken of.
Trading section is another thread has good stuffs for newbies to start their trading journey.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEWARE OF FAKE GIVEAWAYS IN DISGUISE AS UNISWAP on: September 22, 2020, 09:33:01 PM
The scammers in the crypto community will not cease to take cheap advantage of newbies using successfully conducted projects to scam them.
A team of scammers are at it again using the name of UNISWAP to conduct a fake giveaway to steal from the unsuspecting newbies. The giveaway is announced through a medium post claimed to be UNISWAP's with other scam team members commenting to give testimonies about what they've earned from the giveaway to attract people to be their victims. A check on Uniswap Twitter and telegram channel doesn't contain anything about the giveaway. Don't fall for it. It's a scam.

These UNISWAP scamming issue is also similar to the rave of the moment of De-Fis project some this so-called projects had been so hyped that many newbies fell for it, its quite unfortunate that some scrupulous individuals are now using cryptos to fraud people in the of giveaway such as this UNISWAP these are like bait used to attract the gullible newbies with bogus bonuses.
I think there is need to create more awareness about these fraudulent activities going out there, else newbies funds will continually stolen.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: September 22, 2020, 08:25:33 PM
Jose Mourinho is on the list of potential coaches the club will fire this season. based on the site, Mourinho is in the third position chosen by Bettor. What was wrong with the special one, he still couldn't bring his team to play well at the start of this season because from last two matches, 1 of them are defeat.

Mourinhoís style of play is outdated, his defensive style only really works if you have outstanding attacking players who can score from very few chances. Mourinho has always played defensively & counter attacked but if you donít have world class attackers you wonít win like this. Kane is ok but heís not elite.

Coaches like Pep & Klopp play much more expansive & attacking football which gives you more chances to win games. A great attacking team will beat a great defensive team more often than not.

Jose was a great manager but his way of playing isnít the best any more, other managers are better.
In addition to your comment Jose Mourinho is synonymous with "parking the bus" style of play which is always defensively minded team invariably plays boring games, he has Son, kane, Dele Alli and Lucas Moura in his squad, these are good and quality attackers with goal scoring abilities I don't know why mourinho choose that style of play.
I won't be surprise if he get sacked or fired soon if continues with that style of play his team will definitely lose matches which will result to his unceremonious exit.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of social media channels on: September 22, 2020, 07:27:20 AM
If we take part in a bounty campaign on a project, I think we should join and follow social media so we can follow the project's progress and also the bounty period ends. In addition, social media for a project is a communication bridge between the developer team and the community, so I think it is necessary to follow the latest information
Bounty managers who knows their jobs well encourages hunters to mandatory join the social media particularly telegram groups to get updated news about the projects they are promoting, unfortunately a lot of hunters ignored those social media thus are not kept abreast of latest information about the coin.
Some lazy ones will not bother to read through some answered questions on a telegram group by the bounty manager they kept on asking questions same questions repeatedly this is very annoying however some bounty manger still take time to provide links to their questions I will attribute this to laziness on the part of hunters.
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This will help day traders and newbie traders. on: September 22, 2020, 06:27:29 AM
Mastering entry and exit with good money management of trades caught my attention in the OP write-up this two rules ensured proper planning of my trades before pulling the trigger to buy or sell while using 4 hour timeframe as the minimum trading frame.
I used resistance and support zones as the point of exits thus giving me the opportunity to calculate my stop loss and take profit while taking into cognizance the risk to reward ratio of that particular trade I am about to enter whether it worth trading to a earn decent profits or not else I leave it for another one.
