you clearly haven't done enough research
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NICEHASH confirmed - hacked - Any legit alternatives? on: December 07, 2017, 09:56:57 PM
What were they mining using the cryptonight algo then?

If you hadn't been using NiceHash, you would know. Now we won't tell you and we will keep mining it  Kiss

you tried nicehash because your too lazy to actually learn something to better yourself in mining. I feel bad for those that lost btc but hey its the nature of the beast also bout time nicehash came down
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A little guidance for a newb coming off NiceHash? Pretty please :P on: December 07, 2017, 08:40:34 AM
Thanks guys. And i might take you up on that Plant Power.

In terms a zcash wallets which has the most control over fees when i want to send to an exchange and sell? Is the Coinmi one ok to use on blustacks?

EDIT: Is it a bad idea to mine directly into my Ledger Nano S?

check on the manufacters website for the ledger nano S, but it should be okay
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RMA Help on: December 07, 2017, 08:02:59 AM
What is the model of your GPUs?
You can say that both of your GPUs were working in crossfire (AMD) or Nvidia-SLI (Nvidia) and as soon as you updated to new drivers, something went wrong and both of them stopped working.

470! Brilliant. Thank you. I really had just updated Crimson too. From 16.5.2 to 17.1. Something like that.. machines dead so I can't confirm.

They are bios modded.. I can't reflash them because they are dead. Fans spin and I think they showed up as hidden in the device manager. If I removal all risers and place just one card on the board I get a red gpu light and nothing.

Maybe they wont notice or wont care. Smiley
if there bios modded don't rma them. they WILL notice and the moment they do you are SOL and there are ways to flash the bios on a non functional gpu. modded bios voids warrenty
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Flypool down what now? on: December 06, 2017, 11:05:09 PM
My rig is hashing but on the flypool site it's stuck and not counting, I am afraid my shares will be lost.

Should we move to other Pool?

they did just post saying there experiencing some network degradation and they just posted again pool fee is removed for 24hrs
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash hacked for 60 USD... and now what? on: December 06, 2017, 10:40:00 PM
Just in case you did not hear the news... Will those bitcoins be banned? Will niceHash survive?

Frankly for me this service was really bad for miners. It killed any opportunity of extra profit for miners, so if it dissapears I would be happy.
you are late to the party man, people have already posted about it. what a useless post the op has made
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Flypool down what now? on: December 06, 2017, 10:36:32 PM
its not down, my rigs use flypool for equihash and there still connected and hashing

also looking at flypool everything appears to be normal. you do know it takes some time for the website to update the shares you've submitted
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: December 05, 2017, 10:01:07 PM
Why,

there is a miner better than ewbf?

yea couple of them actually, DTSM's cuda miner and there is one other I cant recall the name of that I just saw coupld days ago
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Farm Startup on: December 05, 2017, 09:58:43 PM
LOL..........nuff said.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: December 05, 2017, 07:45:35 PM
Dear EWBF_,

do you plan to update your Zcash miner? I believe there is some room to upgrade speed. DSTM is stealing some miners especially with GTX 1060s.

dude EWBF bailed months ago, there wont be any updates to his program ever again
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Connector names and models on: December 05, 2017, 10:06:38 AM
I need to make my own cables for my coming project, but I have a hard time to find the correct connectors.

Can someone give me part numbers or a link to a manufacturer where I can buy PCI-E 6 & 2 pin connectors?
For me i want to make my own cables to connect to other connector  but its hard to found the connectors

I want to give me some information or link about that connection.

for you man! not exactly cheap but that site has all the connectors, terminals and the tool that you need to make pci express cables

https://mainframecustom.com/product-category/cable-sleeving/

that's because its not easy to find the names and model numbers, I know because I make my own for my rigs
took me few months to find the right names, part numbers, comparing this with that, and even made a couple mistakes and ordered shit that was useless to me, someone isn't just going to hand you that list. took those of us that already know how to make those types of cables some time to sources the right information and then find the correct corresponding parts
š

Okay, I had no idea that this was some kind of secret knowledge, I just figured that my google skills was not good enough.

Anyhow. IŽll try to make a public list here whenever I manage to find something, and if anyone else wants to contribute, feel free to do so.

lol its not that its secret, the info is out there you have just got to find it:D
and like I previously mentioned it took me some time to find all the correct things needed, some of it was trial and error and when I say time it took, it was few months atleast

Ill start it off though, look at molex.com, they are the largest manufacture of these kinds of connectors and there corresponding terminals. eventually youll see why it took some time to make sure everything was correct that was needed, bunch of generic pictures that do repeat often even though the description of what it says was not what the picture they had up there was. oh and trying to find what the 6+2 connector is called ohh well that was fun.............not really:P again tossed me for a curve ball
but after all said and done.

374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 5 GPU Rig issues, please double check my work! on: December 05, 2017, 09:13:56 AM
2 of the rigs are using server power supplies and breakout boards, the rx 480 is using an hp 1500w server psu and the NVidia rig is using a 1200w hp server psu, they run great pretty much no issues, run for weeks
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 5 GPU Rig issues, please double check my work! on: December 05, 2017, 09:06:27 AM

another thing you said you did everything with the mobo but you did not mention if you set the 4g encodeing to enabled and set pci express to gen 1, not enough resources implies you've got too devices trying to use resources like memory, IRQ's ETC. disable onboard sound and or other non essential devices

Yeah I didn't want to type out everything I did since it was a ton. Yeah I tried switching to gen 1 and gen 2. The option for 4g encoding is not in the bios since it's supposed to be pre set and ready to go. Basically everything that solved the problems on other motherboards didn't work for this one.

Alright I'll look more into server power supplies. Considering I already have the gear though this can be ran with the 2 1000w correct? Total load is 1650W for everything.

you could but the issue is the failure point is that adapter that turns on the second psu, all that needs to happen is that fails and the rest of what was plugged into that doesn't turn on and could create problems, the h81 you've got is the rev. 2.0 I assume?
ive got the first revision of the h81 and it works like a charm, I do both amd and NVidia rigs, ive currently got 3 rigs, 2 of them are amd and one is NVidia, rig1 is all sapphire tech rx 480 8gb OC gpus, second is 6x evga gtx 1070 8gb SC and SC2 gpus, third is 6x sapphire tech rx 580 8gb SE's which are on the revision 2.0 of the h81 pro btc mobo but I haven't booted it up yet lol and its been chillin for like a good month with 5x gpus already on it rdy togo while I wait for the 6th
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 5 GPU Rig issues, please double check my work! on: December 05, 2017, 08:51:23 AM
I immensely appreciate it if you are reading this. I've started building my first mining rig but am having some weird power occurrences and also issues with all my cards working(the terrible code 12)

Build is as follows

Windows 10 PRO
Asrock H81 Pro BTC
Intel Pentium G3260
2x 4gb G-skill Ripjaw DDR3 1600
2x Rosewill CAPSTONE1000W Connected BY Add2PSU(authentic)
5X Nvidia 1080ti mixed brands
128gb SSD
6-Pack Mining Dedicated Riser USB 3.0 PCI-e Express 1X to 16X Riser Card Extender

I have the power rigged up like so. Both 1000w are connected together by the ADD2PSU. Main powersupply powers the motherboard, cpu,SSD, first two 1080tis and the 2 risers they are connected too. The other 1000w powers the other 1080tis and the 3 risers. Risers are powered buy the sata power and the gpus connected to the PSU. I'm just trying to use nice hash. I have everything running on windows 10.

Power Issues
When shutting down it will kick itself right back up again. I also had the second PSU turned off and when I plugged a PCI into the mother board from one of the GPUS connected to the powered off PSU the whole thing turned on.(This is the last thing I did and I feel it effectively fried the mobo because it will not display or post anymore) Also if the power is unplugged from the GPU's the power it gets from the PCI riser turns the card on.

Detection Issues
In device manager 2 of the 5 cards always says(code 12 not enough resources). I spent almost 12 hours doing all the "fixes". Increasing virtual memory, trying to change Bios setting, updating everything. I tested every card and updated individually so I know the Risers and cards work. This MOBO is supposed to be tuned out the box. Anyways I completely stumped and feel like I've tried everything.

All advice is welcome and assuming I need to replace the MOBO any good experiences you guys have had with other 6gpu boards let me know.

2 psu's is a thing of the past, grab a 2400w server psu and breakout boards from parallel miner website, youll need a pico psu for the mobo/ssd
another thing you said you did everything with the mobo but you did not mention if you set the 4g encodeing to enabled and set pci express to gen 1, not enough resources implies you've got too devices trying to use resources like memory, IRQ's ETC. disable onboard sound and or other non essential devices

what rom flashing tool did you use?
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: G3220 Pentium 4th Gen. (on H81) for mining on: December 05, 2017, 07:02:21 AM
from what ive learned from others in the very recent past is the kabylake intel Pentium dual core cpu cannot do more than 4 gpus. it is possible its been fixed since but prolly not, it doesn't seem to detect any more than that, skylake g3220 intel Pentium dual core cpu is just fine at doing 6 gpus

I have rigs with g3930 Kaby Lake and haven't had any problems with 6 GPUs

what GHZ cpu though, I believe it was a specific ghz that had issues I think it was around 3.0ghz, your sounds like its higher than 3.0ghz but like I did mention it might have been fixed lol
as far as I know it was the same cpu as the g3220 skylake which I think is 3.0ghz but the kabylake version that's also 3.0ghz had issues detecting any thing more than 4 gpus, it was a very brief period a number of months ago I seen posts pop up for a little while of some people having issues with a version of the kaby lake microarchitecture, then those same posts disappeared as fast as they popped up
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: D3s randomly going into fault mode? on: December 05, 2017, 06:41:24 AM
I've been mining for a couple days already i have about 10 D3s running at the moment and i can't cerrainly say how often it happens because i haven't been monitoring them long enough but they'll go into fault mode (red led blinking) if i check the status 1 or 2 hasboards will show xxxxxx after a while will come back to the normal status if anyone is mining right now are youe miners doing the same?

That could be also a fault PSU, try to switch PSU's from a working one to that one and try it again.

I know thats what the troubleshooting says but i have 14 and they all do the same lol

If you have 14 and they're all doiing the same, must be something with your setup.  Did you figure it out?

I have 7 L3+ and they all doing alright i don't think there is nothing wrong with my setup there's gotta be something wrong with the miners

what brand switch are they connected to? if its anything with link in the name id change that out pronto
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs on: December 05, 2017, 06:20:57 AM
you realize 2 percent dev fee is too high right, claymore is getting ready to lower his 2 percent down to 1 percent with his next update to his equihash miner sooooooo if you want people to use yours id suggest you do the same, because when claymore changes it so will everyone else NVidia or amd doesn't matter. not to mention you are a newbie account also for as much work as your miner needs 2 percent is also kinda high to begin with, api isn't even there fully, cant control the rig remotely at all and cpu usage is too high
