661  Economy / Speculation / Re: what caused bitcoin to go up this january 2023 on: January 14, 2023, 03:55:44 AM
This morning I checked all the news related to the market but didn't really find anything remarkable to help bitcoin skyrocket. What I found is everything is green and people are showing off all over the forums and social networks:D Cheesy. Sometimes bitcoin goes up for no reason and there are always surprises, bitcoin is like that. Many people have predicted and expected bitcoin to increase in price this January and it is coming true. So enjoy these moments as we've been in a bear market for too long. I don't intend to sell any of my bitcoins yet, but it's nice to see the market rebound.
662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 13, 2023, 06:56:26 PM
Joao Felix's debut with Chelsea did not go well and this is clearly a problem for them even though as you said, with Joao Felix they expected more from this player, especially for their attack line. But Felix's first game was really bad. Not only did he not contribute, he was also one of the causes of Chelsea's defeat in this match.
I think Potter is still at a disadvantage for now regardless of whatever move he makes this time it will definitely be watched over and will still be blamed when something doesn't go as expected.
A hard slap as well as a complete package for Graham Potter was blown at the end of this season. Many decisions were made in vain by Chelsea, starting from purchases that cost money and the results were also far from what was expected. Fulham really made Chelsea helpless, I appreciate Fulham's game which can solidly last until the final round.
Will be exciting news this week, but keep in mind that Chelsea will also face Crystal Palace and for the record, without Joao Felix I guarantee their form will be much different. From the start, it was better without Felix in my opinion. On the positive side after Felix was given a red card and missed 3 matches maybe Chelsea can improve in the next game.

Felix just came into this team. And he already got red-carded in his first match. It's like that proverb,  "when it rains it pours".

Actually, I think Chelsea just got jinxed this season. Whatever they are trying is not working. At this moment I am not going to be surprised if they bring in a new coach and that does not even work out. They are in the 10th position on the table. And they are not showing any signs of improvement as well. I do not know how they will be able to fix all of their problems. At least not happening this season.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: January 13, 2023, 01:56:37 AM
We have had a bloody year, and I believe those who stay in the market so far will not be selling their bitcoins, people who believe in bitcoin are still accumulating rather than trying to sell. Moreover, selling bitcoin at this stage is almost unprofitable, so the sale is pointless. I collected bitcoins in 2022, and I have quite a few bitcoins and I definitely wont sell till bitcoin hits $100k or more. This year I continue DCA, and I believe there is still 1 year to accumulate, not to take profit.
664  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Influencers, affiliate links and scams on: January 13, 2023, 01:16:08 AM
It happens on other platforms, not on this forum which has its rules to prohibit affiliate links to spam and scam. The forum is not perfect but if considering about how good it is to prevent scammers and scam, it is better than many platforms. Twitter, Facebook can not compare with Bitcointalk.

4. No referral code (ref link) spam. [1]

The forum cannot be compared with major social platforms like Twitter or Facebook, the forum's user base is only a few million people, while Facebook's user base is up to billions of people. It can be said that the forum  smaller, so the management will also become a lot easier. Not only bitcointalk but even some of my local forums ban referrer spams. And called a social network, it is just like our real society, scams, fake information everywhere, there will be no way to prevent it.
665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Signs of a better year for btc investors on: January 12, 2023, 10:30:09 AM
And again, it just shows how BTC is so resilient, just a month or two ago, we hit lowest low because of the FTX drama and collapse. And now for the past 8 days, we are in a huge rally capping it yesterday with a huge +4% increased. So it means it doesn't give a f**k about what had happen to us, hehehe. And those who are shorting BTC in exchanges are really getting smoke almost $100 million as per this tweet.

https://twitter.com/mskvsk/status/1613321293214126081

It seems that many people are getting excited about the growth of bitcoin in the past 2 days but forget to watch out for this could be a trap. A 4% gain may be huge for another asset, but for bitcoin, it is nothing, even if a negative news spreads, it can drop 10% in 1 hour. What is happening is said to be impacted by today's CPI predictions, and if CPI is released as predicted, I believe bitcoin will go even higher. But if the CPI is not as low as forecast, the market will quickly turn negative. We still need to remain vigilant.
666  Economy / Speculation / Re: what If Bitcoin Price never comes up on: January 11, 2023, 04:38:27 AM
Speak in the simplest way possible, all of us here invest in bitcoin, so of course, we all want Bitcoin to go up to be profitable no one wants our investment to lose, and that's why people always say bitcoin will hit ATH.

Also, looking at bitcoin's history, it has consistently hit ATH for the past 14 years after each halving, and that's a good reason to believe history will repeat itself. A worthy reward is only for those who do not see and believe, those who are lazy, do not have faith, do not deserve that reward.
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should your wife or husband know your seed phrase? on: January 11, 2023, 04:24:22 AM

I really appreciate both Bitcoin and family.

When it comes to investing in or comparing bitcoin to other physical assets, there is no doubt that bitcoin is actually more important than other physical assets because of its potential for profit. But compared to family, bitcoin is nothing, it's like money, gold, ... that can be easily found anywhere out there. I will not compare bitcoin with family because family is an incomparable asset, especially conjugal love should not be measured in money or any other property.
668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The mistake I made some years ago on: January 11, 2023, 04:13:12 AM
As a newbie in crypto, if you are not properly guided in it, there's a very tendency for you to fall victim to scams as a newbie. Sadly, you lost your bitcoin in such a manner. Nevertheless, as you are already aware of what the future of bitcoin can be if you choose to hodl it for years, that means you have learned that an investment made in bitcoin today can give you many profits in the future.

Actually, the bear mistake is the best time to fill your portfolio with bitcoin if you have a long-term investment plan on bitcoin.

If you joined the cryptocurrency market in 2014, it could be said that whether it is a new or old investor, most will invest in those Ponzi projects. Because it was the only model to make money at that time, we did not have ICO, DEFI, NFT, or P2E ...,it can be said that there will be no choice to make a profit if you do not invest in Ponzi.

I think OP or anyone should not regret it because no one can know what will happen in the future. If OP regrets what he has lost, my regret will be hundreds of times larger than him when the number of Bitcoins I trade, investing at that time to hundreds of Bitcoin per day.
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: January 08, 2023, 03:33:26 PM
The absence of Messi and Neymar had an impact on the team in the match with Lens, but now they are back in the game. And there is more than a month before the first match with Bayern, which is a lot of time, and by the way, Bayern have been resting all this time and the Bundesliga matches will begin only in 12 days. We need to look at the state of the teams closer to the first match, now it's too early to assess their shape, especially since Bayern still does not have official games.
The German League is scheduled later than the other Europa Leagues. So far, Bayern are still busy looking for candidates for their main goalkeeper and I haven't received accurate information regarding Sadio Mane's injury. and I agree with you, we need to see Bayern's performance when the Budesliga is rolled out again.
Bayern, still haven't shown the team's performance and readiness after the post-world cup. there is still plenty of time for Bayern to prepare their troops, so they will focus more on the domestic league first before preparing their troops for the round of 16 match later at home to PSG.
PSG's defeat, in the domestic league over Lens, must be Galtier's concern. Galtier knows very well that how his team is weak when their two stars are absent from the field, especially he has to fix the defense line of his team. The reason is, Bayern is a team that is very productive when it comes to scoring goals. Nagelsmann's troop squad doesn't always rely solely on center forward players. also, Munich has a very solid teamwork.
so, this match is not easy for the two teams who will meet in the round of 16 later.

There is still a lot of time for Bayern Munich vs PSG match I think both the teams are going to be really well prepared for the match because this match is going to be really important for both of the teams.

The main factor for Bayern Munich is going to be the unavailability of Manuel Neuer. They are really in need of a younger goalkeeper and as the transfer window is live now, this is their perfect chance to get a goalkeeper for the longer run. And about PSG, if Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe are fit, they might have an edge over Munich.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you change your name to bitcoin for 2000BTC? on: January 08, 2023, 02:26:39 AM
Although a very curious case, I think I wouldn't be confortable in changing my name in any circumstances, doesn't matter the size of the offer. I believe our names are part of our personal history, identity and legacy. Names, like identities and personalities can't be purchased, they are inherited.

However, that is just me. I'm sure other people would see no issues in earning 2000 btcs so easily like that. That would be a life changing.

If we go back 12 years to do this, surely no one will do this because then this 2000btc, we only need to spend a small amount of money can buy it or can get it for free at the faucets.

But if we're talking about the present, I'll consider you a more odd case because 2000 BTC would be worth millions of dollars, and maybe we'll do our whole life and never get it. Changing your name won't be so important, life now matters how much money you have and how your life compares to others. This society is like that, if you are just an ordinary person, no one will care about your name.
671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: January 08, 2023, 02:12:09 AM
Long term or short term doesn't really matter when it comes to Bitcoin from my perspective, but rather to stay profitable and that is one thing I've always advised people to do which is always stay profitable no matter what area you're facing in Bitcoin.
We've seen and heard of people who are doing extremely very well in investing long term and others in short term and even others in trading and so many other areas of wealth creation Bitcoin touches.
In conclusion, whatever you choose to do in Bitcoin, always try your best to stay profitable.

To stay profitable, you need to determine which strategy is right for you, long term or short term. If you don't have a lot of time and don't have too much knowledge about trading, but you want to make quick money in a short time and you choose to trade, then you will not be able to make a profit let alone maintain it. But on the contrary, if you choose long-term, I believe the profit of long-term holding is not inferior to when you trade, sometimes even greater because trading is not always profitable, and holding is much simpler. Long term or short term can generate profits, it is important that you choose which one is right for you.
672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sell motorbikes to buy bitcoins on: January 08, 2023, 02:02:05 AM
I have 2 motorbikes at home, but what I always use is only 1 motorbike, and 1 motorbike is rarely used, and indeed the motorbike is also old, and if it is sold it won't be too expensive, and I decided to sell the motorbike, because in my opinion the price of the motorbike will definitely fall over time,
(affected by inflation). and the money from the sale of the motorbike I will use to buy bitcoin. because in my opinion the price of bitcoin in the future will definitely rise. and also currently the market is bear, so this is a good opportunity to buy bitcoins. and I want to ask everyone, the decision I made, namely selling the motorbike and the money to buy bitcoin, is it wrong or not?

I'm ready to be corrected because I have no experience in bitcoin and crypto.
From the title of your post, I assumed you've sold the motorbike to obtain Bitcoin but in the content you are seeking for advice as to whether you are about to take a right decision. In your next post please do well to make your title compatible with the content. So in my opinion, I think you're about to make a wrong decision.
Firstly, you said that you have no experience in Bitcoin and crypto and you decided to sell your motorbike to invest in Bitcoin. That's a blind decision.
secondly, you should not invest in what you have no experience about it. It's obvious you don't even know or ready for the challenges associated with Bitcoin investment. I would advise you to seek for more knowledge on how Bitcoin works before you take such action of selling your property for investment. Don't be in haste to invest because you hear people talking about it. You are not late to invest at any time. Take your time to learn something and have experience on whatever you choose to invest in, not only Bitcoin but everything that worth investing worth to be studied.

I really liked what you said. Bitcoin is an excellent investment for those who have learned about it and are willing to take the risk, but it will also be terrifying for those who know nothing about it and invest only according to someone's narrative. No matter how good bitcoin is, if we buy blindly and are not ready for its volatility, we will soon lose money because of it. Bitcoin investment is never late, bitcoin exists, and investment opportunities are always there, and as long as we have sufficient knowledge, bitcoin investment can be done anytime. Don't be afraid to miss the opportunity but rush to invest, it will backfire.
673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it advisable to memorize seed phrase? on: January 07, 2023, 04:53:07 AM
If you can memorize them, that's great, but it's not wise to use only one method to store the seed phrase, so combine multiple methods together because if unfortunately one day we will not be able to remember. I also memorize my seed phrases, but I also copy them down on paper and keep them in safe places.
To be honest, there were a few times when I couldn't remember all the words and I had to resort to copies to help me access the property. It's really risky to just keep them in our heads.
674  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin What is the probability of 60 K+ again? on: January 07, 2023, 04:42:19 AM
2022 In 22 trade I have never had to accept so many losses since the advent of cryptocurrencies. Those who are mainly dependent on trade are now on the verge of destitution. Before 2022, it seems that trading has not suffered so much loss2022 is a cursed year for traders. If anyone has any idea on when bitcoin position will turn please share it will save many traders like me from losing.

Bear market is a very risky market for traders, if you have lost a lot and you know that it is tough to make a profit at the moment. I think you should stop and change your strategy so that you can make a profit instead of continuing to lose. If you switch to holding instead of trading for the time being, holding will give you the opportunity to recover your trading losses. I'm not saying you should give up trading but wait until the market is better, then come back and for now focus on holding that will be good for you.
675  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and crypto and stock is bs, but property is real on: January 07, 2023, 04:21:53 AM
~~

Crypto investment is the only way the average investor can try their luck on a few coin and stand a chance of catching up with real world investment. Without the invention of Bitcoin and other crypto currency a lot would have remained in trenches.

It is true that crypto or securities cannot be compared with real estate, real estate is still the safest asset. But I will agree with you, without crypto or securities, we who don't have a lot of money will never have a chance to own real estate or any other assets. Cryptocurrency is a rather risky path, but the returns it gives us are well worth it.

Today, thanks to cryptocurrency, many people have changed their position in society, creating many opportunities for young people without money to start a business easily. This is something that no real asset like real estate can do.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 06, 2023, 06:29:40 PM
We have some rumors about a potential LOAN of Joao Felix from Atletic Madrid to Manchester United
He is still very young, 23 years old and a potential crack in the right circumstances.
João Félix's future remains a big question mark, there are many clubs being suggested as the player's future destination, but in fact nothing is defined yet and he remains firm and strong at the service of Atlético de Madrid.
In fact, Manchester United has also shown interest in the player, being willing to pay four million euros for his loan and the entirety of his salary, but that Atlético de Madrid's demands are much higher, as they asked for 12 to 13 million euros, this is "only" three times the amount offered.

Honestly, I don't think Atletico Madrid are willing or able to part with João Félix for the time being, and despite all the "noise, everything should go on as it is for at least one more season.

I actually agree with @alegotardo that Atletico Madrid does not want to let the player go right now. That is why they are asking for so much money from Manchester United for this player, even though it is a loan transfer. I think it can be a good deal if Manchester United can get him around 5-7 million euros. Also, if it is a loan, preferably an option to buy him if they want later. I think that could work out for Manchester United.

But the amount which is Atletico Madrid, asking right now is absolutely insane. I don’t think Manchester United is going to give that to Atletico Madrid. And obviously, that’s why they are asking so much.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help "I had Free Bitcoin 2011 with registration" on: January 06, 2023, 12:07:11 PM
Hallo ,

It was 2011 , maybe summer , I registered on a site to receive Bitcoins as a gift

I can't log in my email anymore for identification problems of microsoft.

Does anyone know any sites or exchanges where they gave away Bitcoins in 2011?

Thanks and best regards

I would advise you to forget it, your efforts will go nowhere, even if that faucet is still working and you recover your Hotmail account. If you don't appreciate it when it's worthless or only worth dollars, when it's worth tens of thousands of dollars, you can't own it either.

I just want to ask you one thing, if you are the owner of that website and when someone asks about bitcoins from 12 years ago and wants it back, would you be willing to pay them bitcoins? I'm sure you would say no, so you shouldn't expect them to pay you bitcoins that way either.
678  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2023 be another up year for Bitcoin? on: January 06, 2023, 05:57:07 AM
I think 2023 is a perfect year for crypto accumulation, crypto market will start gearing up for the next huge moves this year, Btc halving will also be another big boost for the market in April 2024. I refuse to be a sitting duck this year.

If you are a long-term investor like me make sure you put your mind on 2025 because I believe that's when we will see another ATH for bitcoin, always take advantage of the dips and they won't last forever.

If we are long-term investors, we have started accumulating bitcoin since 2022, not waiting until 2023, but if anyone has not accumulated enough bitcoin for themselves, this year will be the last year we accumulate bitcoin cheaply, IMO.

Bitcoin depends not only on the halving but also depends on the world economic situation, but it is likely that 2025 will be a very favorable year for bitcoin or other investments as the economy begins to recover at that time.

My prediction for 2023 is still a bearish year even though we might see minor bitcoin rallies, but overall still a good year to accumulate rather than sell your bitcoin.
679  Economy / Speculation / Re: ELON sold his TSLA stock for $3.5billion. Will he re-buy BTC soon? on: January 06, 2023, 05:40:17 AM
I don't think this is necessarily bullish for Bitcoin unless Elon himself announced that the billions in proceeds will be used to buy Bitcoin. Otherwise this is pure speculation that does not have any basis at all. Elon is not Saylor in terms of supporting Bitcoin.

But will he buy Doge instead? Again this is pure speculation that has zero basis. But what is clear is that Elon is not really a crypto guy. He's got other more important business to think of.
People do make out some assumptions even it wasnt been confirmed. No one really knows on where Elon would be using up those money whether it would be put up on other projects or investments that he do have in mind or would really be pouring up all of these amounts to Bitcoin? Elon's involvement on crypto doesnt automatically means that he would be focusing on pouring up his funds into this market.
People shouldnt assume because on the time that it would be proven out or some words from Elon then they would really get disappointed incase it wasnt really the thing that they are
expecting on.
Yes, and it could be bad or good (making assumptions), we can also have our hunch on what Elon will do in the future. But for now, since he has sold his bitcoin and have been putting doge in his mouth for years now, I will also says that he is no longer a bitcoin supporter, not unless he shows proof again that he bought or his company started reinvesting again. And with that, he no longer can influence the market like before wherein every statement of his was taken very positively resulting in the price moving upward. Times has change and its better this way now. No manipulation whatsoever coming from this crypto influencer.

He has never been a bitcoin supporter, what he does, he tries to manipulate the market just for his benefit. We should stop following him and what he says, don't let him manipulate us anymore. If he buys bitcoin, I think it is not good for bitcoin and the market because he is just trying to make a profit, and he will dump it when he makes a profit.

I don't expect him to invest back in bitcoin, he should focus on his work and dogecoin, and let bitcoin grow without being tied to him, we are fed up with that news.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 04, 2023, 03:49:28 PM
After Arsenal failed to get a win against Newcastle, Man City  has the potential to get closer to Arsenal and away from Newcastle in the standings, in the match against Chelsea, Chelsea is in an unstable form this season, it will benefit Man City to get full points. Last week's Man City draw will motivate Pep Guardiola's squad
Football games are unpredictable. Football games may go either way. Don't jump to the conclusion that Chelsea's bad performance means Manchester City will defeat them. Both Chelsea and Manchester City needed the 3 points. As for me, in tomorrow's match between Chelsea and Manchester City, am predicting a draw match due to how they have played in their several encounters with each other in the premier league contest.

Chelsea vs. Manchester City's head-to-head matches

Based on the current performance of both teams, I believe that Manchester City should have the upper hand on Chelsea going into this match. Chelsea is obviously not performing well. At least not as well as they should be. And Manchester City is also ahead in terms of head-to-head performance. I do not think this match is going to be a draw. Everything indicates that Manchester City should be able to win this match against Chelsea.

And another thing is Manchester City recently had a draw in the last match. So they are going to be much more motivated to win.
