1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker started to eliminate tokens stolen from KuCoin on: September 30, 2020, 08:27:40 AM
The hacker progresses very carefully, not dumping the price to a large extent. It is a good story to follow - we have some really clever man or group here  Grin (That being said I do not advocate such hacks in any way, it is just fun to see how these people find solutions for dispersing stolen coins etc.)
2  Other / Archival / Re: Microstrategy Stock Jumps 9% Following Bitcoin Investment on: September 30, 2020, 08:14:51 AM
Well, as I expected, Microstrategy was purchased by bitcoin only to hedge their risks in the stock market and they are not particularly interested in investing and developing their crypto investments.

Michael Saylor himself confirmed that they are ready to sell all their 38,250 bitcoins at any time. I think everybody understands that it will be a big dump and bitcoin's hike to 9k minimum.

Those who were glad that Microstrategy helps bitcoin grow..... now as if it had to grieve because of them, it is now falling.

To view Michael Saylor's position, please click here: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-09-22/ceo-says-bitcoin-is-safer-after-moving-firm-s-cash-to-crypto.

Considering that they are ready to sell the whole pile of bought Bitcoin, it looks like a massive and risky bet by the company executives (except if they know something that we don't know yet). They are not interested in crypto industry, their purchase made a headline once or twice, but the company will probably never enrich crypto sphere with their own product or solution.  Sad
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: September 30, 2020, 07:34:01 AM
Using crypto for grey zone or even illegal activities does not grant such extent of anonymity as an old and simple cash does. Even Monero and other privacy coins are not straightforwardly anonymous since you may leave traces (entry points to XMR network, exit points when XMR is traded back to cash etc.) Dealing with cash is still much simpler.
4  Other / Archival / Re: Uniswap V3. What is known? on: September 29, 2020, 01:26:01 PM
I am glad that discussion about Layer 2 solution came back to the light of the world. High tx fees are what most of us feel like a major thing to be 'fixed' (the solution itself is not in hot fixing, using Chi token etc, in my opinion it is in different architecture of swaps and contracts - it seems to be done according to the sneek peeks). What is more important from long term perspective is interoperability and ability to integrate granular parts of Uniswap to our own products. Java SDK was the first step and I hope the team goes far beyond that.

I coinsidered your comments and responses, which I am thankful for. Cool  The price is now lower without affecting the quality of mint.

When you have some ready to ship I will probably buy one. Looks nice. Love ETH world.
I would not hesitate, we need at least 100 orders to make it happen.
7  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🧡 Ethereum Collectible Coin from Silver 🧡 [MINTEUS] on: August 11, 2020, 03:26:22 PM
I like to hear that the design appeals to you.

Indeed, the price was my toughest dilemma before starting the project publicly. There is a variety of coin production processes ranging from quick-and-dirty to more sophisticated methods (to put it simply). Quick-and-dirty ones cost considerably less but finalized coins can be easily assessed as 'second grade' = it further negatively impacts the value when you as an actual holder want to sell it again. On the other hand, coins produced with more advanced methods are favourite for numismatic collectors, and every consecutive sale is usually more expensive.

Since you can buy lower quality coins at average Chinese e-shop (yes, I oversimplified it), my decision was to bring higher quality collectible coins with real potential of growing value in time. That being said, I am glad for such feedback from you. I will definitely gather more feeback and think about it.

Either the mint is charging you too much.... or you are charging too much.....

And I have not heard of charging more as each coin is sold. Please explain the logic behind this?

Maybe I did not explain it well. It definitely doesn't mean that mint is charging more with more pieces produced. In fact, the opposite is true.

I meant selling peer to peer after the sale is finished. If you decide to sell the coin let's say one year after you bought it, you would expect to sell it at higher price than you originally bought it. Wheter or not the price of the coin is going to rise in the future is largely dependent on quality of its minting (and some other factors).
8  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🧡 Ethereum Collectible Coin from Silver 🧡 [MINTEUS] on: August 11, 2020, 01:52:40 PM
Will we be able to verify the supply? Grin

The supply will be clearly stated on a certificate that comes with the coin (e.g. if there is 450 coins minted, you will see 221/450 on your certificate, meaning that your coin is 221st in the emission). Of course you don't have to believe me, but I don't have any interest in spoiling my hobby project.
It just came to my mind - I could have my contracted producer issue some kind of official statement, in which they claim the exact number of coins produced for me. What do you think? Any other ideas?  Smiley

10  Economy / Collectibles / 🧡 Ethereum Collectible Coin from Silver 🧡 [MINTEUS] on: August 11, 2020, 08:37:49 AM
Fellow crypto folks, I am happy to announce a small creative hobby project of mine - Minteus.

I decided to design the Ethereum collectible coin from finest silver (.999 purity). It is 1 troy ounce of silver, hallmarked by an official assay office.
I paid special attention to the coin design to make it simple and yet expressing basic principles of Ethereum which I have been a hodling for some time.  Wink
The coin comes with more nice features (see the website below). Local mint was contracted to make the coin in highest possible quality.

So I am offering this little piece of numismatic art to all of you. As a coin to display, as a gift, as an investment, you choose ...
There will be only 1200 coins ever minted. However, there is a basic threshold of 100 pieces required to start the production of the coin. And the sale has just begun.

See more and order at minteus.com.

I would appreciate your feedback, and also sharing would help!  Smiley

UPDATE: After your feedback I decided to lower the price as much as I can to bring it to you. The highest quality of mint remains my first intention, it will never ever change. Hopefully, updated offer is getting more attractive to you.

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Crowdfunding with Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency on: May 15, 2020, 10:34:52 AM
Recently, I have been looking for a crowdfunding platform that allows backers to pay in Bitcoin, Ethereum or any other cryptocurrency. To be more specific, reward-based crowdfunding platforms are what I am interested in (i.e. Kickstarter, Indiegogo alike). There are many sites and options how to offer equity or run an ICO, but basic Google search returns unsatisfying results.

What are, in your opinion, titans and leaders in this industry with crypto payments? Do you have experience with any of them?
12  Economy / Auctions / Re: [SELLING] Crypto domain with history - nodarium.com on: January 24, 2020, 09:07:22 PM
Sold.
13  Economy / Auctions / Re: [SELLING] Crypto domain with history - nodarium.com on: January 02, 2020, 08:29:22 AM
Bumping.
14  Economy / Auctions / [SELLING] Crypto domain with history - nodarium.com on: December 24, 2019, 09:05:01 PM
I am selling my domain nodarium.com.

I have operated masternode hosting service on the domain since April 2019. I closed the business two weeks ago since I had had no time to develop the service. The domain is suitable for any altcoin related content or service especially all about masternodes.

I have never used any black hat or white hat SEO, rankings are all natural.

The starting price is $20.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: #FinancialFox Crypto Spotlight: Libra, Facebook's “Crap Coin” on: June 20, 2019, 03:04:55 PM
Interesting points in the interview. Although the main principles of Libra might be disputable, Libra will certainly do a great service for blockchain / cryptocurrency adoption and popularization.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Libra the Ethereum + Ripple + EOS + TRON + .... killer? on: June 20, 2019, 02:54:11 PM
I would not say that Libra is such a threat to above mentioned coins. It will certainly increase competition among top coins when it comes to technical development. But not killing any coins.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trade on Latoken on: June 17, 2019, 10:49:05 AM
I remember LAtoken made it on the top of the list of exchanges that have the most artificial ('wash traded') volume. That being said, I don't have any personal experience with them.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ALQO] Scalable Payment Network | Swiss Fiat Exchange: Bitfineon | Liberio dApp on: June 17, 2019, 10:45:56 AM
any news about this project and the upcoming bitfineon exchange?!  Roll Eyes
dont see any dev updates/announcements since few weeks  Undecided

would like to know if something is happening too or if they simply abandoned it.

If they are really based in Switzerland I don't think it would be possible for them to just abandon the project. They have some rules over there.

According to Discord communication, developers are working on this project, I am not afraid that they would abandon it. There is a big potential in their solution (the whole codebase thing).
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why DEX (Decentralized Exchange) still unpopular? on: June 17, 2019, 08:27:00 AM
The true show time of decentralized exchanges is yet to come. Centralized exchanges serve a bit different purpose than DEXs. I personally have high hopes in IDEX and their dev team.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Hong kong and China war can lead to possible Bitcoin popularity on: June 17, 2019, 08:20:08 AM
It is still a war of words, we are far from the real conflict in Hong Kong area. Situation is now fragile, but I don't think that Bitcoin (or any other cryptocurrency) is not that tip the scales between the two countries.
