61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steemit appoint new boss on: January 24, 2019, 08:37:11 PM
They are probably trying to get back to good old times of Steemit as seemingly decentralized and free content platform. Well, trust is hard to gain and easy to lose.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good news from Japan on: January 24, 2019, 08:33:48 PM
I am confident that the wave of massive adoption will begin in Asia, Japan and South Korea are at the top in crypto adoption. Summer is coming  Grin
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins That Do Not Depend on BTC Price? on: January 24, 2019, 08:30:39 PM
You may find this site with bitcoin/altcoin price correlations helpful - https://coinpredictor.io/altcoins

The least correlated altcoins are usually stable coins or fresh ICOs with insufficient data history. However, even some old coins can be found among the least correlated pairs such as FlorinCoin.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is there Any altcoins that are distributed fairly? on: January 24, 2019, 03:39:15 PM
is there Any altcoins that are distributed fairly? seems no currency in this world is done right to give everyone a fair start.

This seems to be the closest thing I have found so far https://bitswift.cash/frequently-asked-questions/   is there any others?

What does a fair start mean? I don't think a fair start means distributing free coins to anybody who asks or puts their email in registration form. This question is rather philosophical ..
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Blockchain Stellar XLM giveaway on: January 24, 2019, 03:35:24 PM
If you did not notice blockchain is making a Stellar XLM giveaway for anyone with a wallet
https://www.blockchain.com/getcrypto

You will just be required to verify your identity when they choose you

I also received an email promoting this airdrop. Honestly, a few bucks is not worth revealing your identity to anybody ...
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High or Low Supply: Which do you prefer? on: January 24, 2019, 03:32:34 PM
I always diversify. A big portion of my crypto portfolio is allocated in big cap coins (e.g. Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash) and my most promising coins are low cap such as ALQO, Lympo or ECOM.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NOLLAR - first USD stablecoin with instant & feeless transactions on: January 24, 2019, 08:46:14 AM
Strange that I haven't heard about Nollar yet. Were your asset backing audited by any company? Trust in backing is a key issue for stablecoins.

NOS team working closely with PwC one of the leading auditing firms. The first attestation will be released really soon to the public which we will do in frequent intervals. Most likely every quarter possibly even more often than that.

Thanks for information, it will be crucial for success of the coin. PwC is well known and trustworthy, indeed.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOStoken (IOST) thoughts about this one? on: January 18, 2019, 02:58:54 PM
I don't understand what the mission of IOST is. I also share a view of other fellow posters that this token/project doesn't look special at all.

How do you plan to approach hotels and appartments to become a member of your ecosystem? Intercontex group is fine but you will also need other and smaller hotels.

71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BAD NEWS on: January 18, 2019, 08:52:28 AM
That delay can be perceived as a negative news by traders and investors but in fact it is good news - developers paid attention and yielded precedence to security over market sentiment. Let's wait for today's dev call.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Milk, eggs, bread and bitcoins? on: January 18, 2019, 08:47:51 AM
Every step to broader adoption of cryptocurrency is a great step. Bitcoin ATMs work well in Europe, and they are quite popular. Unfortunately, it is still a bit complicated compared to just withdrawing cash from ATM.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [TRX] Tronix Price Speculation on: January 18, 2019, 08:40:21 AM
TRX price progress has been very suprising for the last 2 weeks. It outperformed lots of old and well known coins, and I think it is caused by strong community support and rapidly evolving adoption of Tron. I guess it will remain among top coins during 2019.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ONE WORLD COIN Time to move MN's to your Mobile!!!! on: January 18, 2019, 08:35:45 AM
Very nice project! Got in early on this one. Making masternodes available to the masses via a simple mobile app: Great idea!

@above: I don’t think the masternodes themselves run on your mobile devices, especially on iOS that is a no go. I think it’s more like SPP/Gin and the app behaves as a very user friendly tool to set it all up. No more hassling with QT wallets, sync problems and masternode setup. All that can be done from the app. At least that is what I make out of it.

Goodluck team One World!

In that case the headline and description of a coin/app is a bit misleading. Could the original poster/dev shed light on it?
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Augur - 51% up in 24h? on: January 18, 2019, 08:18:33 AM
The impetus for such growth, presumably, was the launch of the new veil peer-to-peer forecasting platform built on Augur, 0x and Ethereum technologies.
The platform is operated by Veil International Ltd, a company in the Cayman Islands, and at this time it is not available to users from the United States, Cuba, Syria, North Korea or any other region with limited cryptocurrency legislation.

The market has already corrected and Augur is ca. 35% up. I would also assume that this fundamental is beyond the sharp price increase.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ONE WORLD COIN Time to move MN's to your Mobile!!!! on: January 17, 2019, 11:12:47 PM
How resource intensive is running a masternode on a mobile device? Although CPU load is usually quite low, I am afraid about RAM and network bandwidth.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cervesium (CERC) - Beer review platform (already working) on: January 17, 2019, 11:09:51 PM
Very nice platform! It is great to see that you have already working product (especially connected to beer  Cool). You had a simple idea, yet I think you will find lots of fans and users. Good luck!

How does the development goes? According to the roadmap there should be a beta of FxTC DEX this quarter - do you have update on this?
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happened to DASH on: January 17, 2019, 10:49:11 PM
Dash wasted many years of irreplaceable time and millions of dollars on Evolution, which is still vaporware with no MVP or even a roadmap.

Dash cultists believed spending money would guarantee results, ignoring scope creep and the bloated Corp Group Inc become a self-serving entrenched bureaucratic fiefdom insulated from the real world where price and results matter.

DashHoles loved their instamine more than they hated the irredeemable reputation for fraud that came along with it.

They thought crying "FUD" and "troll" would convince the market to ignore Dash's instamine, centralization, snake oil marketing, and laugh-out-loud bad crypto.  There were wrong.

At this rate, Dash may not even be in the Top 20 by the end of the year.

I don't think there is really something wrong with DASH, the general sentiment in the market is not that positive for the moment and all coins have dropped massively the last couple of months.

That's a very poor hand-waving excuse given Dash is dropping more "massively" than many other coins in its peer group.

When Dash was mooning along with the rest of the sector, we were told it was due to Dash's super-special unique unicorn properties (Treasury to fund Shrem Attacks, Masternode HYIP to launder money, PrivateSend to amuse GMAX with its broken version of Coinjoin, etc).

But now you want to appeal to generalities to avoid uncomfortable specifics?  Lol, get out of here with that self-serving cult recruitment propaganda.  This is not Dash.org or Reddit; we are smarter than that here. Cool

Very honest and insightful comment. Traders and DASH holders probably reacted to above mentioned lack of proper development progress altogether with overall negative market sentiment.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized exchanges the future of 2019? on: January 17, 2019, 10:03:55 PM
I expect decentralized exchanges will become more popular than last year and hopefully they will finally outweigh centralized exchanges. Atomic swaps, x-chain trading and other technological improvements only help it!
