261  Bitcoin / Mining / new comer guide on: October 18, 2013, 04:17:04 PM
greetings. when you watch the introduction of the being, before the third era, you still have a chance if you do properly.

my personal opinion is, bet on cex.io first before ask more questions. You will need to spend three hours to fill the coinbox.me in irder to do good.
262  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: POLL - Why are you mining? on: October 18, 2013, 01:33:38 PM
Why still mining? According to the selling chart and some open-secret of the searching cost, the searching cost if proper tuned, I think it is better to be mentioned in detail via PM. It is still better to mine on or before 202X (when under than 10 per block, then there may be no more chance to get the profit in fiat or in other measurement)
263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoind dies always... on: October 18, 2013, 01:30:07 PM
The basic diagram given mentioning not enough memory space for bitcoind. Bitcoind requires at least 1.5GByte memory when doing some verification even there is no GUI. Additionally, I assume you use typical hardrive like WD RED. Remember more ram the better, especially in linux due to the I/O nature.

265  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What should i do? (7x usb erupters) on: October 17, 2013, 04:01:02 AM
Use the 7 thumbs on cex.io as you will need massive amount of hash to follow up. I am using that one to speed up for a while.
266  Local / 挖矿 / Re: KNC开始向国内发货了。 on: October 15, 2013, 05:27:54 AM
268  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price on: October 14, 2013, 08:47:33 AM
In personal's view, Invest on mining as only mining provides the massive amount of profit rate. You may invest half on CEX.IO to help you for a while. (Currently the selling price is normally twice than the searching price.)

The second stage will be on alternative coins.

The third stage will be on money makes money basis.
269  Economy / Economics / Re: FBI seizes Silk Road. BTC backbone broken. on: October 14, 2013, 08:43:56 AM
The backbone is not broken, It is just getting stronger as Some law enforcement like FBI, adapt with Bitcoin and the relatives.

I have read the today's graph, the price is still on USD 130 or even more.
270  Economy / Economics / Re: [CHART] Bitcoin Inflation vs. Time on: October 14, 2013, 08:39:39 AM
I think the being is based on gold. Only deflation will be.

Silver also be,too

But not crude oil and polythene based as there are ways for absolutely inflation by using germs, plants and iterations for it.

271  Economy / Economics / Re: Re-visit the question: What is bitcoin's value backed by? on: October 14, 2013, 08:33:12 AM
Trust.

Trusting only 21M available
Trusting never double spent
Trusting the monitoring network, To build this, need different nodes to check out.
Trusting the being not to be used in bad ways (The blockchain implies you cannot do bad with it)
Very true, only problem is if I take the code, not change a thing and start another Blockchain every single one of your points is still valid. The value of the identical other run would not be the same, so no it is't it.

Good idea, never thought of that.

It all come back to drugs : if FBI could shutdown now and forever all bitcoin-drug-related-shops, bitcoin would be pointless & worthless.

No. Narcotics can be traced with the blockchain if someone has provide some information such as address, location, person to let the law enforcement to follow. Even the criminal tries to change the address to increase the difficulty of being caught, still can be found by few mistakes made by the criminal as there may be pattern found.

Before further, it is better to state one thing, The Do not to conflict with the ethical issues. Which is the design of the blockchain with obscured information stored in.

This is based with law enforcement operations done in the last two months such as silk road crushed, LR crushed and etc. . Blockchain is never be anonymous, also the source code is even using alias to package. Since it is in open nature. If you cannot adapt it. Then you will be automatically knocked out regardless you are. We just have built a model accidentally which ensure illegal operations can be spotted. Currently Fiat used can be hidden much information but it cannot be hidden in the blockchain even you try to change wallet address to hide such of these operations.
273  Economy / Economics / Re: US Government Shutdown on: October 14, 2013, 08:19:55 AM
The both big parties are playing very dangerous, getting bigger. Let us see if they fail to plan something within 3 days.
274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crash is inevitable on MtGox (soon) on: October 14, 2013, 08:18:33 AM
Currently MtGox is controlled by few groups of people. They probably have two wallets to follow up. The first is for withdrawal. The second one is to modifying the selling chart. These people not too worry about the withdrawal as they have plenty dollars to follow up.

There is withdrawal, which is slowly made. I try not use the mtgox at the early stage. I stay with the closet to me before switch to.

275  Economy / Speculation / Re: We all know when to buy, but when do you sell? on: October 14, 2013, 08:14:32 AM
people usually check high point for it.

Normally, a reasonable way is +/- 5 dollars. Try not to trace the highest as there is evidence to say that you will fail at the highest point. Just not to be too greedy.
276  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye bye bitcoin on: October 14, 2013, 08:12:20 AM
Well, there are two sides. People now bet on 17 October 2013 will be in another side. If dollars fails, then gold, silver, crude oil, bitcoin will raise real quick.

I have seen the raising. If fails on 17 October 2013, then more people may like to buy gold, crude oil to save themselves.

Additionally, bitcoin never be able for money laundering as it can be unveiled when there is something broken.
277  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-10-13 CNBC - "You can't stop bitcoins .... like you can't stop gunpowder" on: October 14, 2013, 05:05:49 AM
Exactly.

The problem is monitoring. Just like ancient times.
278  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Next difficulty ~215,000,000 ? on: October 13, 2013, 02:26:54 PM
How accurate would you say that is?

Past predictions:
Guess   Actual
145m - 148m
170m - 189m
215m - N/A

I think should be +/- 45% to ensure as more asic in the network. The higher difficult it should be.

I think the next level should be 230M.

279  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What happens when there is a big difficulty drop? on: October 13, 2013, 02:25:11 PM
It is possible, but I don't see that happening.

The hardware today is so diverse, some miners will remain profitable longer than others, depending on power efficiency. When the difficulty is 1Billion and the reward drops to 12.5BTC, an Avalon unit would be losing money (unless you had free electricity). At the same time, a BitFury would still be making 0.1BTC/day, and turning out a profit. People might turn off their Avalons, but not turn off their BitFurys. See what I mean?

And this is also a few years away, so we could have more powerful/efficient/cheaper hardware. Even at 12.5BTC it would still be profitable, I think.

Currently I have lost the first era, now in second era, If I don't do that before the third era, then I have a high chance to lose the game.

In the third era, The BTC selling price may get higher as harder to find the new one.
280  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: End of Big Miners on: October 13, 2013, 02:20:53 PM
You forget one thing. Technology is improving massively.
There will be much more efficient chips available...

That depends the popularity, bigger miners will be available just in limited basis, I personally like to obtain one. But think carefully, I select a mining contract instead of obtaining big equipment as the game becomes more difficult, upgrading will be more often.
