521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used in space? on: May 13, 2017, 02:45:59 PM
Just curious, since the Internet is mostly an Earthly thing... would astronauts be able to access and transfer their Bitcoins whilst traveling throughout the solar system?

Astronauts are people who are very busy to look at Bitcoin and besides they earn a significant amount in fiat. Though if Bitcoin would be a huge trend and seen as a convenient way to store and secure their wealth then might as well they hop in. Since Bitcoin's complexity which requires the time, a little bit of time maybe to study how it works though we do know that they have much more complexity to study than this actually and they don't feel the need to learn it.
522  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The problem with atheism. on: May 13, 2017, 02:39:20 PM
Let me start by making it clear that I am an atheist.

The problem I have with the atheist agenda is that is stops at 'the non existence of God' - the same logic is not applied consistently to the whole of the human condition.

If I examine my life and use this same 'spaghetti monster' logic, I am drawn to the same conclusions about all my actions and activities - they are all as equally pointless and irrational as worshiping God.

If I rationally examine my sense of self I realize that it is just a genetic innovation - it encourages self preservation - genetic selfishness creates a genetically induced illusion of self worth.

My desire to survive is itself as delusional as a belief in God - pain and my fear of pain are a genetically induced survival mechanism I am in thrall to.

If I believe in God and survive then it is no different to not believing in God and surviving - nature will select for survival.

But my actual survival is meaningless whether I believe in God or otherwise.

This is the only conclusion that can be logically formed from a real examination of life.

Atheism is merely another tribal display - a peacock's tail trying to attract a mate through a verbal display of intelligence.

I'm a catholic and we believe in God. The problem is there is true God and we need to believe to survive in our second lives. There is a reason to believe in God the main reason is to go to the paradise of the God if you die but if you do not believe to God there's a chance that you will go to the hell . I respect your religion but I'm saying the truth that there is a real God that protecting and guiding us everyday.
Either you believe or not about the existence of God as long as there is still respect to each other since we have our freedom worship and freedom to make choices. The thing that each and every human should have and never be missing is their humanity which will stand proof that they are human by mind and heart.
523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin becoming out of reach on Common Man on: May 13, 2017, 02:21:05 PM
The Bitcoin price might rise but let's not forget that the value it has in a common man together with its convenient way of earning really benefits them. Also many have gone rich in Bitcoin through different ways and these ways that they have been using can still be used as of today.
524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Losing Faith in Bitcoin? on: May 13, 2017, 02:14:34 PM
I still have my faith in Bitcoin intact and through all those years that they have survived myriad attacks will this one will just bring it down and I believe that these skilled developer would find a reliable and best solution regarding this problem in due time. Really hoping that they can identify the source of this issue and upgrade the services it can offer so it will gosmoothly and the potentials that Bitcoin has and been showing would not be gone to waste.

526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin 20 Years From Now on: May 11, 2017, 03:15:01 PM
From my perspective, in about 20 years later, bitcoin will no longer a good choice for investment or even a goodd type of currency. There are only 21 millions Bitcoin exist and that is not enough for the whole world

Actually since the supply of Bitcoin will not increase it will result into price increase to adjust it because supply and price are indirectly proportional unlike demand which is directly proportional. When we say directly proportional like demand, when the demand increases the price also increases while when the supply decreases the price increases and vice versa. But if the Bitcoin's supply could not accommodate by this basic economic priciple then might as well the others might find other coins. Though no one knows what improvements may come in the future as the usage of Bitcoin will be booming up in the future.
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: May 11, 2017, 03:08:48 PM
Oh, maybe this is not money in full, but it fulfills the function of money, cause we can use bitcoin for buing and selling. So, I think that it can be called a full currency.
That is true, bitcoin pretty much fulfills this function, but it is very important to say that this is just a one thing about bitcoin.
You can use cryptocurrencies for many different things, for investing, holding, paying for something etc.
Also, if you invest in some particular crypto, you pretty much support the whole network: same thing with bitcoin because a good example of it might be last days in Japan: the bitcoin price holds pretty stable on insanely high price  level, because Japan citizens are making a big part of daily volume. After all , BTC will be adopted in this country so people want to obtain some of it.

I do agree with what you have said. The price would continue to rise up as the demand increases that means the users are increasing in number and will continue to increase as countries have begun accepting it for example Russia, Switzerland, and Russia have started to recognize and legalize the use of it.
528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: April 27, 2017, 07:19:47 AM
Hey Guys,

what would be your opinion if there would been Bitcoin shops in big cities like London, Berlin or Paris (also smaller cities).
So you could go inside the shop and buy or sell Bitcoin for a good price.

I think it would be an good (and an advantage) idea because more people would use Bitcoin so the price would rise up and the people who are owning Bitcoins at the moment would have more money in Bitcoins. Wink

Best regards,

Patrick Smiley
I love the idea of a bitcoin shop but I think if someone decides to open a shop like that then you probably going to want open shop in a  place that has lots of bitcoin user, so instead of choosing a city in Europe, you could choose Tokyo now that Japan has recognized bitcoin as money.
yes that is really a good idea, but i think it is also very difficult to survive in a big city, as the expense are much more there as compare to small cities.
I don't think that an actual shop might be appropriate just for buying and selling. And also there are now Bitcoin Atm machines in which you can buy and sell Bitcoin there, they also update there prices in real time equal to the market value of Bitcoin. Also Bitcoin Atm proves that even an ATM machine does not have so many customers (meaning only a few use it), could you imagine if that was a Bitcoin Shop? It would close early because of the lack of customers. If Bitcoin Atms are starting to have lines then I will consider adding another machine for it to be sufficient, But I would not even think of opening a shop just for the sake of buying and selling Bitcoin.
I think what he meant by that is selling products that offers Bitcoin because I think it is not that useful if you build a shop just for buying and selling of Bitcoin because you can just do it on your phone and its a lot faster that way. It is a good idea having a Bitcoin shop that sell different products which offers to either buy it using fiat or Bitcoin.
529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: April 27, 2017, 03:12:45 AM
We know that bitcoin is strong and all the wallets have milletry grade security but one of my stupid friend today said that maybe someone can hack it with just a calculater because with math and correct formulas we can even predict gambling bets if that is possible then maybe there is any chance of this

It's stronger than we imagine.
i think your friend was just joking, bitcoin is really very strong, if it was easy to hack bitcoin then how bitcoin has such high price and how it has become such popular currency? All the bitcoin wallets are highly secured, it is not east to hack it with calculator or any formulas.

I doubt about his friend joking. It's just that his friend does not know bitcoin too well. I would also like to say that no one claims that bitcoin is easy to be hacked. Even his friend did not say such thing. Hacking bitcoin is just possible in a way, however, this is a difficult task to accomplish and as of today, bitcoin has proven it's strength regarding security.

And the history can back it up. Imagine how long has Bitcoin running and still keeps running despite all the attacks it successfully defend it that earns its reputation that can be proven by the increasing number of users worldwide. Your friend is still ignorant about Bitcoin maybe he can try to research it and maybe it will get his interest to join Bitcoin.
530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: April 26, 2017, 01:50:47 PM
I just store then in my wallet and save it up and wait for the price of Bitcoin to rise since now the price is gradually increasing and a lot are hoping for it to hit the $2000 mark which is very possible and logical as they say base on the past years.
