81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Internet Disconnections and Slowing While Mining on: September 30, 2019, 05:21:20 PM
You might have unstable pool ping you need to find a better pool server to get stable and lower ping.

I suggest you to try to ping them using this "Microsoft psping"

Sample: Ethereum pools

Code:
psping -4 -n 10 asia1.ethermine.org:4444

And try other servers like sample below.

eu1.ethermine.org
us1.ethermine.org
us2.ethermine.org

Until you found a lower ping and then once you get a lower ping use it as your pool lets see if you still getting internet problems.

Let me ask if what pool you are using? So that I can give you a better guide how to ping them and fix your issue.

Below the results for these servers, I am in Europe and get these:

asia1.ethermine.org:4444  --->  Minimum = 8.63ms, Maximum = 47.97ms, Average = 16.13ms
eu1.ethermine.org:4444   ---> Minimum = 8.56ms, Maximum = 205.63ms, Average = 29.99ms
us1.ethermine.org:4444 ----> Minimum = 8.50ms, Maximum = 24.72ms, Average = 12.03ms
us2.ethermine.org:4444 ----> Minimum = 9.12ms, Maximum = 93.88ms, Average = 23.84ms

How do I get the lowest through us1 ?

I run the codes more than once and they aren't stable, I saw some 200+ ms. What is causing this unstable pings?

82  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you trade? At the exchange? Platform? Bots? on: September 30, 2019, 04:04:34 PM
I am writing bots and using them for auto trade and I trade manually on exchanges just to improve my bots' algorithms. This is all about it, if you stop moving while others are moving, you will be going back. Manually trades on exchanges give me inspriations and understand my human motives so that I can apply the contrary of them for my bots Smiley
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Internet Disconnections and Slowing While Mining on: September 30, 2019, 03:25:11 PM
actually mining not needed a bandwidth. if your ping latencies is stable and low, the speed not important on mining.
other thing most of pc-plugable wifi adapters not works stable. if its necessary i think access points (briged to modem wifi - and plug cable to pc) can be more stable.

I will try your suggestions as well, thanks. What about the slowing of my internet when mining is happening? I can't use my internet for surfing while mining. This shouldn't be happening if the speed is not important for the mining. Am I missing some configuration settings?
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Telegram group for signals on: September 30, 2019, 02:00:54 PM
Most of the telegram groups which share signals are just for them and for their vip members. Don't fall into it. They seem to be succesfull but it is a delusion. They hit the targets for their trade signals because the group makes them. They dump on the ones who buy the coins. So, if you are late, well, you will always be late, you will get dumped. There may be some nice groups that share technical analysis, but still, if you are late, it is already late for the trade signal.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Internet Disconnections and Slowing While Mining on: September 30, 2019, 12:24:34 PM
I am having internet connection issues while mining. I am using Claymore and I have a RX580. It is not only disconnection but also  can't do anything else while the miner program is running and mining. I tried some solutions that I have found around and non of them seems to be working for me.

Any ideas about how to overcome this issue? Is it about my router or the internet connection speed? I tried another source for the internet and got the same problem by the way.

Another thing is, I can use the wi-fi through other devices but not the computer that does the mining.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will it be good for bitcoin if it will be regulated by the Goverment's on: September 30, 2019, 11:51:03 AM
Regulations are opposite of the bitcoin's foundations and roots. People wants to be safe but they should know that they are save when they control their own money, this is what bitcoin provides. Regulations will not be good for bitcoin. It will just become a virtual currency which is being controlled. This is not bitcoin.
87  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Making exponential gains trading on: September 29, 2019, 09:12:46 PM
I've been trading (?) cryptocurrencies for a little over 5 years and have always had little to no success even doubling my money. I know I know, it's not supposed to be easy to double your money.
I work in finance so I understand that a 20% annualized gain is already a ridiculous amount.

I have however seen players doubling, tripling, 10xing their money through a variety of ways of which I can list here:

-Bitmex, Deribit etc. Perpetual Futures leveraged trading (1-100 x leverage - SUPER HIGH RISK)
-ICO/IEO trading (4-5 returns, MEDIUM RISK)
-Spot Trading (BTC/USD, MEDIUM RISK)
-Deribit Options (MEDIUM RISK)
-Cross Exchange Arbs/DEX Arbing (Buying alts on Dex before exchange launching on Binance - requires insider information)
-Gambling Games (Dice, etc.)

Does anyone else have any ideas to share or methods that consistently gives them good gains?

The trading is all about making more things than the others. It is possible to make exponential gains but this is not valid for all. Do make different things than the others and you most certainly will make lots of money.
88  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: i failed in day trading on: September 29, 2019, 08:21:47 PM
I was considering to become a day trader too but it is not easy not as it seems. Firstly, you need to know that there is a zero sum game, so, you should be better than others so that you can make money. Secondly, there are very powerful rivals for day trading which is bots. In the near future, I think, there will be no human day trader but the algorithms. It is very hard to follow all the indicators manually. Bots can do it very quickly and get the profit before you. I am morely focused on bots and configurations of indicators these days.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v15.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 29, 2019, 06:20:32 PM
Hey Claymore

Cannot resolve 'eu1.ethermine.org'
ETH: Stratum - Cannot connect to eu1.ethermine.org:5555
DevFee: ETH: Stratum - Failed to connect, retry in 20 sec...

my settings are correct and I am mining normally. But your devfee settings are not working and the mining doesn't continue if this is not fixed. Such a great problem. I kept getting this error many times and I lost bunch of times. Tell me what to do if I wasn't controling my screens? I was gonna lose a night maybe?

Check this port it´s a SSL port not a stratum one.

It is not my mining pool and I don't have a control over it. It is the DevFee pool. My setting for the mining are working fine, but I can't mine for the devfee, it got stuck there and doesn't move, this is annoying a lot.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we boycott the Facebook Coin (Project Libra)? on: September 29, 2019, 05:05:02 PM
I think we should Bycott Libra. They can't fight with blockchain and bitcoin. There are many ways to reach to people who are willing to have a decentralized system. I want to control my money and bypass banks. Libra and the other centralized coins are trying to give us that but in a centralized way. As I said, they can't fight with bitcoin but create a rival for it.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v15.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 29, 2019, 04:20:48 PM
I am having internet connection issues while mining. I checked some articles and tried the solution they offered but they didn't seem to be working for me. I tried a different source of internet and still, it doesn't work. The problem is, when I start to mine with my GPU, in 10 minutes, I lost the wi-fi connection. The modem is close to me, I haven't get the chance to use a cable but I don't think it will work. What is causing these problems?
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin future on: September 29, 2019, 03:28:51 PM
In my opinion, btc will be here in 10 years but it may not be used for the daily transactions. It always will be the king and respected but there will be other projects which may excess the marketcap of bitcoin. New innovations may be applied to bitcoin but these may not affect much because of the technology of it. There will be more developed and more open to changes coins.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How 18-year old boy became Millionare from Bitcoin on: September 29, 2019, 02:12:12 PM
This story reminds me the big short movie where there are people who see the upcoming future and act accordingly and made tons of money. For all the stories like these, there will only be few who make such money. These are just borderline examples.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Gold? Which one you would choose to invest for long term? Why ? on: September 29, 2019, 01:23:59 PM
No need to make hard choices. Just split your portfolio and get two of them or more. This is called diversification, it is for avoiding risks. Personally, I am a fan of bitcoin buy I might keep some others as well.

96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: -CONTRADICTION- ? on: September 28, 2019, 07:16:11 PM
Some people use it daily. In my city, there are some restaurants which accept bitcoin as a payment. I was considering to try but didn't get the chance. I tell people about crypto currencies. The speed and the low fee of it are taking attention of people. We just need more adoption of altcoins or new improvements for bitcoin because daily transactions are not much possible for bitcoin due to its high fee and low speed.

97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BAKKT launching tomorrow but BTC price falls? on: September 28, 2019, 06:54:54 PM
I guess we got tricked by influencers. They kept saying that the institutional investors are coming. When we realized that it is not that high demand, price dropped. Now we are back to normal and bitcoin will follow its normal path.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fell again, what conspiracy? on: September 28, 2019, 06:21:23 PM
I made a quick pattern analysis and found these

Through 15 January 2017 and 15 November 2018 which makes 11 months, btc dropped from 12k to 6500.
Through 15 November and 15 December 2018 which is a month, it dropped from 6500 to 3100 ish that is a 50% correction.

Now lets come to today
through 20 June to 20 September in 3 months, 14k to 10k
so, this pattern, if applicable, a faster version of above, we may see a 50% correction again in 1/11 of the above
so, 3 ish months/11 is around 9 days. We may see a correction to 5k in 9 days. after this correction, we, again, might see a climb to higher than 14k.

surely there are other factors that should be checked but this is only for a same pattern.
The last thing I want to see now is the btc price of 5000 usd. Many said that the BTC price this year will be again 20,000 USD, I don’t believe in it anymore.

well, I just made an assumption. Technical analysis, as most of us know, it gathers the previous data because the pscychology of investors repeat. So, there are plenty of patterns and indicators, who knows which one will repeat. This is not a financial advise, I am just checking if my assumption will be correct or not.
99  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to double capital in 2 months? on: September 28, 2019, 05:50:08 PM
It is possible to double capital in 2 months but only few can do it. This is called zero sum game. Everyone can't make profits. We make profits through the others' losses. So, when you double your capital, some others will lose a lot. Only the best traders will be making money. In this environment or the others, only very few percantage makes consistent profits. You can't fight them with a normal strategy.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NASA to Launch Bitcoin to the Moon? on: September 28, 2019, 05:28:17 PM
Well, we certainly will need a transaction system between planets because the cost of transfering paper money from Earth to other planets will be very high. Surely, this is for the far future but it will be. On the other hand, this system may be centralized. Human kind needs to evolve until we get a decentralized system for all. I hope we will evolve soon though.
