So how long Argentina should expect Messi ? until he died?  Messi himself who decided to retire probably because he failed to bring Argentine championship and missed a penalty not because he did not want to defend their own country but because he felt guilty and failed IMO

As long as messi is still fit for argentina then he should be playing for his country. Even if he felt guilty then what he is gonna do next will be to repay his mistake. He is the one responsible for argentina's lost so he cant just quit the team and retire, of course anyone will not be willing to accpet his retirement

Well actually Argentina has many good talented strikers, so if one striker get injured, then still there is another striker who can replace him. I'm not sure that will be a good reason for Messi to back.

The odds might be rising because Messi might not be in the starting line.

Is he injured? What's the reason he didn't start in final game? It's too rare he miss games for injuries but he missed a couple at the start of previous season. If he plays Argentina is the favorite, but I don't underestimate Chile and Alexis Sanchez. They are the last champion for a reason.
