I actually just got a PO Box last week and I definitely don’t remember any options of writing down other aliases to use for the box. I remember that the form (I actually think it was 1093) had space where you could write down a list of people who you are authorizing to come pick up stuff from your box... maybe I could’ve written down “phishead” on that, but I would never have thought that would’ve worked since I’m providing other personal documents like my passport and lease statement to prove identity and place of residence.
My question is, if you’ve already signed and paid for your PO Box, is there a way to edit in your alias possibly? Or would you have to wait until your contract ends and you apply again?
I have had a PO box for over 10 years...and did not know that option existed until they todl me. It was just a simple form really not the one applying for new or renewal po box.
I got a box at a UPS Store. They said I can have packages sent to the box # without my name. They also said that there is a law prohibiting them from giving out my personal info to anyone without my written consent. (I actually had to sign a form acknowledging this law.) This of course isn't fool-proof, but it's probably good for small-time buyers like me
