Indeed, hats off to the sponsors too. They of course made it extremely interesting to play, and hopefully, won over some new users too. I think the sponsors, Rollbit.com, will be pleased to see the good reception. I think, despite some early misgivings, Pot B went down well and if the universe wills it, I'll try and come back with something even more challenging, yet trying to keep things as simple as possible.

Thank you for very interesting competition buwaytress, count me in for next season if everything goes according to plan, I think it is going to bigger and better than ever.

I am so grateful for all the effort you put in especially for Pot B that I felt might have been stressful to tabulate at times and also those constant reminders.

I'm grateful for the participation and support, and the willingness to try something new. I did get very annoyed at manually fixing submissions but it was a learning experience for me too!

Fellas, I'm just gonna hijack buwaytress's thread a bit considering many of you are here.

Trofo and myself created a Last Man Standing competition for the EUROs we think might be fun so take a look at it and join if it is something you think you might like.
It uses BSFL's format which 50+ people are having fun with for over a year already, has a huge main prize and there will be good banter in the thread.

About potB and asides of managing a super round with 95 points H make a very good run in that pot collecting the same ammount of points in the rest of the journeys to win the prize. Very impresive.

Thank you for the prize,a wonderful one nowadays which I am going to fully spend in the earliest,it is 70.000 for a Bitcoin now so let's do this.Can't also wait for the next season to start as I am again in a signature campaign in which I am saving the money for different pools from this signature for the upcoming season.I think it is going to be a good one and I have build a "secret" strategy to maximize my chances on Pot B,of course I am not going to say it and of course it is not going heavily with the underdogs hoping for a huge win,this season the guys were lucky,I am pretty sure with the new format there won't be such easy points anymore ,there is time until then though so let's wait and see.

50+ people in BSFL and 52 people in this pool. I think maybe roughly half are same, so we can aim for 80+ in BSFL and Champions League!!

Way-too-early information for next season, is that instead of a 70-30 Pot A-Pot B distribution, we'll be looking at switching it around for 30-70 PotA-PotB, Pot A being the traditional Superbru.

Pot B event will still likely be odds-based, as if we do get a sponsor (the least easy thing to secure, it should be said), having a semi or partial odds-based event is a great way to promote the book. But, we will try to introduce more of what I like to call jeopardy, where positions should not be so easily secured and players can take greater risks. The greater the risk, the greater the rewards. This is, after all, a gambling section of Bitcointalk and I like encouraging gamblers and Yolo-sters haha.

A hint at what is already being experimented is the odds-based match selections as the foundation, but with a possibility to boost your total points per round with a selection of related questions per round. Each correct selection adds a positive multiplier to points, and each incorrect selection adds a negative multiplier. The more difficult the question, the bigger the multipliers (both positive and negative). The more questions you get right, the bigger the multiplier also.

This introduces not just the possibility of climbing the leaderboard on your own, but also falling, if you take too many risks. It also introduces more strategy. Pick low odds and boost the points through the multipliers? Or pick high odds and go safe on the multipliers? Or be Igebotz and forget to submit? Who knows?!

I'll have plenty of time to further test, probably a small competition prior to UCL but already there are complications with using Google forms and Excel forms... so it will be a question of what's not-so-work-intensive for me.

I liked first edition of odds based game, but it's just that kind of game where I don't have big chances because I don't like to risk big with huge odds, I rather go with a bit lower odds but safer. Kinda similar like I do with real money when betting.
As I understand, changes that you're planning would increase possibility going up and down. It doesn't sounds bad, in general, after group stage I was already fighting for nothing.
What I would like - some random thought which came to my head now, maybe add not just ML markets, but goals under/ over, cards and etc. Something similar like we had on playoff rounds. Yeah, it's some extra work, but maybe one more market per game wouldn't be too much

I personally liked the format, but I am open to anything new. Introduction of more events or options isn't a bad idea, especially as the tournament progresses and the matches become fewer and fewer.

2. Those additional picks towards the end of the tournament
3. Your dedication. I have done that kind of thing before, trust me, it's not that easy as it looks

The changes sound interesting, although I kinda liked the format in its current state - you could track who the good gamblers are and maybe go through their picks while assembling your tickets.
Anyhow, an extra element of risk is always supported.

It was fresh and required some strategy and planning instead of just dropping random numbers hoping it hits.

- What did you like least?

The 'no risk' YOLO thing. YOLO is great, but should come with risks.
Having 80% of the pool out of the competition and aiming for the biggest surprise without a downside is something I didn't really like.

Of course, but I consider it your promo.
If you mean the insurance promo, it was a nice one as well.

- Any other suggestions for next season if there's one?

Team tournaments as a part of the pot? We create teams and collect points as a group? Sounds like fun and would probably lead to more interaction between the players.
