I see this UCL format giving all clubs many more opportunities than before. I believe that next year will be different, because everyone is prepared differently, but at least everyone is being placed on the same level.
You're on to something right there but you can also say that, this new format takes out the seriousness/intensity of the game.
I feel it favours clubs that get lucky and they run away with the wins not having to play the club again maybe until later as the they progress in the tournament.
Teams not having the opportunity for a revenge will reduced the quality of the champions league as it takes out all the preparation and better football we would had watched for the second leg.
More goals and games doesn't make the competition have more quality but it takes out the quality of the competition but UEFA doesn't care as all they want is the bag (more games equals more money to be made). That's exactly what was in their minds when introducing this new format and not them thinking about the quality of the tournament.
