This group of players, whilst not perfect is far better than 6 losses out of the last 7.

Very hard to believe this was the team that dominated Real Madrid just a few weeks back. Watching the game, the players seem to lack motivation as they had last season, you could see the Forest players throwing themselves in front of every ball when it is in their box, but not when it went the other way. Buying a new coach now will definitely be planning for next season but then with the pressures of the current situation, may be best to give Slot till the end of this season at least, he has earned that by winning the league.

Took off his best striker from starting lineup ( Ekitike) for Isak, keep playing his best midfielder Szoboszlai at RB - Arne Slot is beginning to walk alone.

To be fair Ekitike has dropped form since the first 5 or 6 matches this season.

Sean Dyche plays hideous football and it’s the style we’ve struggled against at times. Nothing else other than a win is acceptable though or Slot needs to go. We have lost 5 of our last 6 PL games, it is unheard of and needs rectifying immediately.

I have no idea what just happened with Liverpool. I saw the Real game and they were awesome, why they couldn't repeat this in England? I have a feeling this is something psychological.

Also its just unlucky to see how shit Isak is playing, seriously. At least Wirtz seems to just be a fitness and familiarity thing.

I think the players have given up on Slot, they are not playing for him and when that happens, there is only one solution. You can’t sell the whole squad so you have to get a new coach. What he did last season doesn’t allow him to spend £400m and then serve this crap up. No other big club would allow this to go on.

Isak seems to be the most expensive transfer for the Premier League? And it looks like it's going to turn into the biggest failure. Maybe I'm being hasty, but it seems that at Newcastle he was part of a system that allowed him to reap the fruits, but he himself is not worth 120 million pounds, even 90. The funny part is that no matter how he plays, for that kind of money spent and that kind of salary, he is obliged to be included in the team. I hope he continues to play like shit. This will be a good lesson for anyone who gets involved in crappy schemes with players prone to cheating.

One corner... which Konate gave away from an interception. We had six, and many close attempts, then when we need to defend, we allow a goal. Surprised we're even asking for a decision now, we should just go ahead and score 5. Just as I thought my weekend was maybe going for a nice late start, we do it all over again.

What's going on with Liverpool?  What one issue do you believe needs to be addressed?  System-related or poor effort on the part of the players?

Holding 3 to Nottingham Forest at home should be a sackable offence fr.

I'm no expert and I didn't watch the game... but I think there are some deep psychological factors here that Slot simply does not have the ability to solve. A new team yet to gel, which represented a new strategy of transfer as well -- which was half expected yes, but the surprise is perhap's Slot's inability to massage those things away. And it is a talented team that, with each loss, has that cruel way of self-replicating mediocrity.

Also, and I don't like to make excuses... but I think Diogo's passing hit hard.

Doesn't change facts. It was a shocking loss. And a shocking turn of events.

The thing I believe holding everyone back is our backroom. Liverpool's been a data-driven team, and the underlying data is still, somehow, suggesting we have had terrible luck (yesterday's xG result, for example was 2.1 vs 1.2).

Really hoped Gyökeres will be fit for this game, he makes the team a lot better with his runs across the defenders attracting them to himself. I was also expecting to see Mosquera come in for Gabriel, looks like Arteta favored the left-footed Hincapie and he is also a competent deputy in that position.

Good to see Martinelli and Noni back on the bench, missed having that depth in the attack.With the events of this weekend it makes this match even more important, for us and also Spurs who will love to be able to deny us a great opportunity to pull further away. Matches like this at home are a must win for the team.

The injury and suspension didn't help, but Isak hasn't done anything to get ahead of Ekitike, and Slot isn't helping himself with his selections.

Games are now coming thick and fast. Everything that could have been done should have been done during this last international break. It is game every 3-4 days now on for Premier League teams that are also in Europe.

Nothing drastic can be done now.

Liverpool's board is one of the more capable ones in the world of football. I'm sure they discussed potential replacements already - which still does not mean that they will fire Slot.
This run of form cannot continue, that's for sure. Maybe 9 points from the next 3 games save him, but the way we are defending currently we'll be happy if we win half of that.

Also, and I don't like to make excuses... but I think Diogo's passing hit hard.

I think nobody really thinks of this when defending a corner though.

As far as I know ... sacking a coach in the middle of the road is usually not a solution, give him a chance even though many are disappointed.
Like Chelsea, who often fired coaches in the middle of the road experiencing a deadlock but now it's much better.

Now Liverpool need to raise their mentality because 10 matches with 3 wins and 7 defeats obviously this will make the mentality a little disturbed.

Now they are losing again and the mentality of the players is bad ... it could be that the players are frustrated because they don't win this makes Liverpool bad again and only in between winning with Aston Villa the rest of Liverpool lost a lot.

I'm even confused as to why Liverpool are so devastated in their defense?

Imposing Szoboszlai as a right back I thought more positively at the beginning but in the end when the game happened it was far from expectations because when Szoboszlai was slightly lowered it made the creativity in the midfield weakened which made them only successful in possession but their attack build up, the combativeness in the midfield they had and their defense was chaotic.

3 goals without reply against Nottingham who are currently in form and want to get out of the relegation zone is clearly a minus achievement for Liverpool.

It happens everytime now but is still always great winning Spurs. They do not play at our level.
A clean sheet would have made it a much better win, but better to concede this way than having your defense undone as was the case against Sunderland. Hincapie did not have much to do, but handled everything that was thrown at him well.

He has to back one long term and will always favor the more expensive signing.

Liverpool fans are normally very patient with their managers; I'm not sure what's going on with some of them lately - give the man a break, he won the league 6 months ago, and he's just 12 games into the season (league games), so there's still plenty of time to turn things around.

I know fans are a little more patient to accept this situation until it can recover again ... but most teams in the PL when there is a coach who is bad at handling his team then the club board will immediately fire because they are not satisfied ... how many coaches have been fired by some teams?

It's a habit in the PL. But for Slot's case like his he is still given a long chance.

Their main problem is their defence; it's difficult to win games when your backline concedes too many goals; Chelsea was at this point earlier this season.

Slot's main focus is on defense only, the defense is too bad now.

12 games with 6 losses is a hell of a lot  A club with such a number of defeats becomes champion probably once every 10-15 years - the statistical norm is no more than 4-5 defeats. Their main problem is defense, yes. But their attack is also a problem – they've lost their last two games with a combined score of 6-0, and their attack has also contributed exactly zero, although their expected goals are +- ok.
For now, it looks like Arsenal will take the title without any competition.

That's kinda sad, if you think about it. I remember Salah saying he was the main reason he got so many GAs last season, and even Gravenberch and Gakpo said he really upped their games but I think now the issue is yeah new players and old ones leaving.

New ones I feel like are not convinced by him and old ones leaving feel broken trust.

I think he was an ok manager but he never saw that much money in his life, and went for Isak

Hard to see any other bigger failure even this early in the season. Thats the danger with buying someone already at ATH, just like in crypto. I think Liverpool should have stopped when they saw his character refusing to play at Newcastle when he wanted to leave.

And isn't that the worst thing about expensive players? You don't play them you look stupid.

I don't think any club ever learns the lessons about fees and players who act like that tho.
