Some airdrops require personal info from their users like government approved ID proof, a selfie with it, contact number, email, address etc. Does this information really required? How to know if somebody is scamming you for asking this kind of information?
Don't do the KYC on airdrop. Almost airdrop token is useless because it does't match with minimum trade required from exchange and you can see the token stay in your wallet like infinity. If you want to earn more, join bounty campaign and you will earn enough to trade.

Well if this airdrop will.ask me.to provide the documents they needed i will immediately get out of that project ,im smelling not good. The documents you pass will be use in scamming or illegal activities.

It is definitely scam. I know airdrop don’t need a requirement that you mentioned this or kyc. Airdrop is coins free with the condition of you have to register beforehand. Many coins airdrop who does not sell.

You should know that sending of governments approved Id is to prove if you are human or some one trying to hide he or her identity.  You are only scam if you put really money. If any airdrops ask you to send money that airdrop is scam.

I prefer to not to join anymore in any aidrops because now a days some of airdrops are wasting our time and effort and they want to steal our personal information and sometime our account.

This may be your way to identify fake airdrops, because those airdrop projects that require proof of identity and selfie are false!

I haven't done any airdrops that require authenticate, and I think of all of them as scam airdrops. I don't understand why airdrops would ask for this. Their motivation is very doubtful. Is it to steal our information?

Personally, I think asking for all this information in an airdrop is not really necessary because they are personal details and should be kept personal. Though I do not do airdrops but I do not think you should supply this information to an airdrop.
