It's perfectly fine and safe for buyers, just not sellers. That's why scammers use it.

I would not go as far to say its "perfectly fine for buyers".  Like I said above, I was scammed on the buying end, and as soon as PayPal heard mention of the balance of the paper wallet being in question, they did not want to deal with the case.  Nothing with PayPal is 100%, for selling or buying

How did you get scammed? Was there no coins on the wallet?

Yeah it was on eBay, and advertised to have 1 BTC. The listing said "no returns" so as soon as PayPal heard it had anything to do with a digital item, they said the sale is final we can't force the seller to accept a return. The seller was a real dirt bag. I think the only reason I was eventually successful with my second cc charge back is because he had scammed a bunch of people So he had a red flag on his account. So I'm just saying beware when using PayPal for buying or selling.

Did it definitely say it had 1BTC funded on it and not just a 1BTC paper wallet? But yeah, people are deceptive and will do what they can to scam. Shame.

Mostly.
These same people will scam in their turn.

A lot of people do just blindly fall for it though without reading the listings, but obviously this guy was just a scammer. I think other people were scammed by this seller on here as well. Seem to remember seeing that listing.

Yeah a bunch of others were and most got their money back.  Some accidentally filed their eBay dispute before recieving the package (because they saw the negative feedbacks coming in) and didn't get their money back.  PayPal would not side with them.  I even followed the dispute process and they wouldnt side with me, until I did a 2nd cc chargeback, and they gave up defending the seller.

Yeah fuck Fleabay, I've lost a lot of money on there due to chargebacks. As soon as a decent alternative comes along they'll be destroyed.

Paypal doesn't protect sellers. When i still used ebay and paypal i got scammed by some douchbags. I've sent everything as "signed for" and had proof and everything ( the items had arrived and have been signed for) The items were highly collectible toys. So providing every kind of proof doenst mean nothing to these paypal scammers. Buyers are protected, sellers aren't. and you cant do a damn thing about it even when you have proof up the whazoo. That is why i NEVER EVER use paypal OR ebay.

I lost $1k due to Paypal 'unauthorized charge' reversal.  I showed 10 lines of evidence (10 attachments) for every transaction and lost every single dispute.

I contacted 8 other sellers based on ebay feedback and all 8 confirmed the same story from the same buyer.  Yet Paypal still won't support the seller's.  We all got screwed.  Stay away from Paypal and Ebay.  It's a total nightmare, and even getting your ebay seller fees returned is a nightmare because when they Buy it Now with Paypal it's marked as a paid auction.

That was just one buyer.  I have a few other disputes pending from other fraudulent buyers.  Lesson learned.  Avoid ebay/paypal at all costs.  To think I've been a fan and avid user since the beginning... just didn't realize how bad it was as a SELLER.

Some Tried to PayPal scam me

i am new

so when paypal sent me email about reversal i sent an email to paypal saying it was for a digital file and the proof of purchase was the email i sen to client.

i sent an email to the email paid to me on paypal with a photograph and thank them for the purchase.

Will send copy to paypal if needed

will this be enough to cancel the  dispute ?

Nope. You are going to get screwed. It happened to me TWICE. In both instances I'd sold 0.1 BTC and had separate emails from the buyer (from the buyer's PayPal email address) acknowledging their intent to buy BTC and their intent to pay via PayPal as well as acknowledging receipt of the Bitcoin. I sent PayPal screenshots as well as the blockchain info and I still got screwed. THEN my account got frozen until I signed some kind of agreement not to buy / sell digital currency using PayPal anymore.

I hate PayPal. If I didn't need their service for other stuff, I'd cancel my account. Been with 'em for over 6 years, never a complaint against me and they don't even LOOK at my proof.

Grrrrrrr...
