Is addiction bad only when it is a problem?

Addiction to gambling is not a problem for some gamblers because there are some gamblers who are addicted to gambling, but it doesn't affect the other activities of their life. They take care of their families, wear good clothes, smell nice, meet up with appointments but still cannot control the urge to gamble. It doesn't affect their life because they can afford to gamble and manage the loses they make. So, to these people addiction is not a problem. They are addicts, but because they are successful, their addiction is ignored or excused as it is not a problem.
So I am need to know, is addiction only bad when it is a problem?

Addiction as the name implies can affect your overall health and quality life and relationships that you desire to share with people around you.The inability to not stay away from catastrophic decisions,ideas and lifestyles can also be seem as addiction.

You trying to tolerate unfavorable personal behaviors is extremely an important feature about yourself to look out for.Whoever is not affected by his/her toxic traits or behavior is obviously not an addict.An addict trying to resist her addictions is an overall addiction problem.

Addiction isn't a good thing unless you handle it professionally. Addiction must create a problem when you are constantly losing on gambling. There should be a balance between win and loss. Most addictors don't care of anything if they are really addicted. However, until you face some problems, you may not know that you are already addicted. Those who handle everything, like maintaining family, etc., either are winners or they aren't heavily addicted. I consider addiction isn't a good thing for gambling.

Addiction is addiction on which this simply means that it is really that bad. When you do reach out on a certain condition on which you cant be able to make yourself having that kind of control when it comes to gambling engagement then its definitely a bad thing for you specially into your finances. Its really that important that you should really be knowing on what you are dealing and on what are the possible issues that you might be able to encounter. On the moment
you've seen yourself that being aware of these things then its assured that you wont really be that easily get addicted on the moment that you do deal up with gambling

There are some problems here, which are that the term "addiction" is interpreted differently by many and in fact there is no clear definition of addiction. I like this definition: "Addiction is an irresistible craving for the game, which the player himself feels as a pathological craving and this is externally manifested in some destructive behavior such as an increase in debt, dismissal from work due to the game, a breakdown in relations with relatives and creditors. I think addiction is also a problem, meaning we are not looking for whether addiction has a problem or not because it is clear that addiction means a problematic situation for a gambler and as you said that addiction certainly causes problems that usually in most cases it makes gamblers lose more money than they should and of course it also has an impact on their mental and psychological health.
When we talk about addiction, it means someone who has a high obsession with something so that they treat the activity excessively without being accompanied by any balance.
On the other hand, especially if we talk about addiction in gambling where this is an activity that involves opportunities, money and risk and regarding its impact I think it is very clear because there is indeed enough evidence of the decline that has been experienced by many gamblers, meaning there is nothing positive in gambling and that is why we have to gamble with great caution.

Honestly no because any addiction has trade off costs.  Whether it be financial, time, relationships, etc.  Let's say it's a gambling problem.  If you are winning nobody blinks an eye amd just thinks it's fine since "ypu know what you are doing".  But you might be sacrificing things like time with friends or family.  Life is about balance.  Being addicted to anything always has it's downfalls.

Seriously, I haven’t seen any addicted gamblers that their gambling activities don’t affect their family members, they won’t be able to take full responsibility for their family because the money that is supposed to be used for some basic things in the house will be used to gamble. I will say the people who get affected most are the family members of addicted gamblers, because I have seen lots of them starve their family members, sell properties just to get money to gamble, some of them even gamble with their house, and will render their family homeless, which doesn’t make any sense to me.
 
Maybe there are some addicted gamblers who will still be able to settle their family members and will still be addicted to gambling, but I don’t know how the person is going to balance it, most of the addicted gamblers, which I know are not responsible.

Addiction is indeed not an easy thing to cure besides needing external encouragement such as family and other environments to cure it also requires great personal ambition to be able to recover from gambling addiction, especially if the addiction is very acute, it certainly takes a very long time and requires a lot of money to bring to a psychiatrist.
So don't get caught up in gambling addiction, it does make everything fatal in thinking and acting, thinking becomes a hut and eliminates awareness like a normal human being.

An indication of gambling addiction is when we always hope to get a win from the gambling we do, no matter the money we bring today then we must get a win, and tomorrow we must do the same thing to try our luck again to change our lives, I think this kind of addiction is much more destructive than addiction to the pleasure of the game, because addiction to profit will sacrifice anything to satisfy the curiosity in his mind.
