I disagree on your prediction. Beterbiev is already very much becoming more older. I predict that this trilogy will be won by the younger boxer, Dmitry Bivol. It also appears that the Arabs also want him get the victory to face David Benavidez. I wish that the fight of David Benavidez versus Bivol or Beterbiev will be in Las Vegas.

In any case, I am not very excited for this Beterbiev vs. Bivol 3 because we can be very much certainly certain that the 3rd fight will be very much similar to the fights before.

You have a good point but that is if Beterbiev failed to do any adjustment.  What if Beterbiev made an adjustment, I do not think that we will be sure that the same result where Bivol wins will happen.  After all, in boxing or any other sports, there is always this variable that can change the turn of the fight especially since Betebiev is known as a knockout artist.

The jaw of Bivol is harder than metal and because of the older age of Beterbiev, his power punches are becoming more weaker. Agree, father time has already caught up with Beterbiev, his power punches is not so lethal like that of the first fight but we should also credit Bivol for not absorbing too much of that punches as he floats like a butterfly .

As for the trilogy, the punches of Beterbiev will be more weaker so we can expect that he can't knockout Bivol anymore.

Punching power does not easily diminished, though stamina will play a huge factor for Beterbiev if the trilogy happen and I still believe Beterbiev is still very dangerous in the early due to his stamina and power at the maximum during those time.(if fully conditioned).  But if the fight drag to the decision, and Beterbiev does not adjust and Bivol has him on check, then it will be Bivol who will win in my opinion.

There should be a third match; this is what happens when the match is dead even, but I agree it should not be mandatory right away. A Canelo-Bivol is desirable, and so is the Bivol Benavidez, but I'm sure both fighters don't want to talk it right now. After grueling training and matches, both want to go home to their respective families and take a rest.
The next fight for both fighters will be under negotiation; they will consult with their promoters and what the boxing community wants, but I'm sure both fighters will still attract attention whoever they want to fight.

A 3rd fight is needed to settle the score, the second one was also great, but we really need to see which is really the best out of this two. We will talk about Benavidez and Morrell late, but for now this is the obvious 1 and 2 of the LHW division. Now Bivol is the undisputed.

I think Beterbiev now understands why the first fight’s outcome was so controversial. In the trilogy, he won’t want to leave it in the hands of the judges again since that gives him little chance of winning. He’ll probably be the one to adjust this time using his power to end the fight early, even if it means taking risks and leaving himself open due to his aggression. I can't wait for this trilogy to happen, hopefully, we get it before the year ends.

He said post interview that he will have to take a rest because he is injured or something. And then he talks about the trilogy, or a fight with Benavidez or even Canelo Alvarez. And he said that early fight might happen in December or even October.

He also mentioned about the CW division, Lol, but probably he is looking for greatness and cementing his legacy so maybe in the future when there are no challenge for him in the LHW then he could move up to the next weight class.

Why would he fight other boxers if his main concern is his injury? It’s perfectly fine to rest, take time to recover, and come back stronger to finish unfinished business. If he really wants to cement his legacy, he should beat the boxer who beat him, that’s the best way to secure his place in history.

People don’t remember how many divisions a boxer won in as much as who they defeated.

Take Marquez, for example. After knocking out Pacquiao, he refused a rematch. But even then, many still believe Pacquiao was the better fighter, not just because he was an 8-division champion, but because he was never afraid to fight anyone and always gave his opponents a chance at redemption after a loss.

Of course he will have to take the rest as what he said, and then he will go back to fight again whoever they choose, meaning Eddie Hearn and HE Turki will decide who he will fight.

Bivol backing away is part of the strategy because he's a counter puncher. Backing away doesn't mean that he's weak or scared, and he knows how strong Beterbiev's punches are hence, that's his strategy.

I somewhat agree with what you said that Beterbiev is becoming old already, and let's not forget that he just got an injury in their first fight. We know that age is a big factor when it comes to sports like Boxing, and if there will be a trilogy (which I believe will happen), Bivol will take the victory yet again. We know that Beterbiev won in their first meetup, some thinks that it's a controversial win, but when Bivol won, many agreed with the decision. As for the 3rd fight, I also think that it will be the same as the first 2 fights, but who cares as long as they will be paid.

What? Bivol already won the rematch mate, so we don't know what you are saying here. So there is no knockout whatsoever, on the contrary, Bivol bring his A-game and as he has said, they have game plan and so they stick to it no matter what specially in the close and championship rounds and it's obvious that their strategy works and the mindset of Bivol as well to think that he can still win the second fight.

And it could really be a setup, but still Bivol deserves this big win. So it's time for Beterbiev to make the adjustment in the trilogy. I have no doubt that Turki is going to set up the final fight between this two maybe late this year, after Bivol takes a rest and enjoy his unified belt.

Might be better if we see them fighting different opponents, maybe Bivol vs Canelo or Bivol vs Benavidez. And since Bivol has all the belts, for sure he will be the target of David Benavidez as we have seen that he is really coming up and maturing. He had a big win against Morrell at this weight class, tested by Morrell's power but he didn't go down but instead like Bivol, digger deeper on his arsenal and win the fight.

As for Bivol vs Canelo, Canelo might want the fight at his sweet spot of Super Middleweight, although Bivol said that he is willing to go down to 168 lbs, but now he is a unified champion and so he has more leverage now as compare to the first fight. And Canelo could also making history here, undisputed at 168 lbs and then becoming a unified champion at 175 lbs.

Yes, he somewhat become conservative here, or just let Beterbiev go after him and then counter with his jab. It was very effective as Beterbiev can't find his rhythm maybe except in round 5. But after that, Bivol was not bothered but instead it somewhat bring the best out of him. And he counter when Beterbiev is trying to close him out. I also think that the crowd is pro-Bivol and hearing them chants him name, maybe it really motivate him specially in the middle rounds wherein he really dominated it.

Possible, both are in their primes and it looks like Benavidez is really hungry for recognition since Canelo was clearly ducking him. Bivol though could still be the slight favorite if this two decided to go for a dance this year.

And also Bivol said that Beterbiev shake his hands after the winning has been announced and Beterbiev congratulated him. But then after that, he says that Beterbiev will no longer shake his hands because they are going to fight again for the trilogy, Lol.

But still I do agree that both of this fighters have given their fans a masterclass in boxing. And they recognized each other and now they are arch-rival but it seems that it's not over yet as they might talk about the trilogy before the end of the year fight.

Yes, and as he has said after the fight, he will definitely take some break after this big win. Remember that he also had to go under a divorce, so maybe mentally he is also exhausted from last year to his first lost and then coming back with a big win here. So maybe Turki will have a trilogy in mind, but he also had some fights in the table next like Canelo vs Crawford so he might forget about this trilogy and it will also help both of the boxers to heal and take a rest for sometime to somewhat like having a reset. I think the power is still there, the problem is that Bivol was able to get away from that power punch of Beterbiev. You can still see the impact during the post fight interview, lots of damage of Bivol's face. But he was able to dodge most of that power punches. And I forget which round it is, but he was hit by Beterbiev and I thought that after that Bivol might surrender mentally.

Very hard to do that though, to have control aggression in the ring. When you see your opponents trying to get your heads off. We should give credit to Bivol and his team for coming up strong. Now Bivol is the unified and obviously, he will be the target of Benavidez now.
