Your right here. The only player deserving to win the award is Dembele. The argument we are seeing is because, many person are sentimental fans. They will rather choose their player to win it, rather than choosing the right person who deserves it more.

Instead of Vitinha, Ill say Hakimi, that is if not Dembele.

Well whether they like it or not their sentiment can't stop Dembélé from winning it, the award is pointing at him from all directions, he's been so outstanding that they can't rob him of the award maybe they could rob the runners up like give it to Yamal instead of Vitinha or Hakimi if not Dembele but it would be tough to overlook Ousmane Dembélé, the French man deserves it and would definitely win it. The award night is always interesting cause we'll see players in their fine suited attires other than the jerseys we mostly see them on every weekends and sometimes weekdays, it's not too far from now though, can't wait to see Dembélé smiling and holding his award.

I don't know how easily Rodri said about Lamine Yamal or Pedri are candidate players for winning Ballon D'Or than Ousmane Dembele have won treble winner this season and leading the top scorer team.
Ousmane Dembele success winning domestic league, France Cup and UEFA Champion League, in other side bring PSG qualified to FIFA Club World Cup but between Lamine Yamal and Pedri only won two trophies this season.

Dembele getting injured has nothing to do with the odds because this award will be based on last seasons performance, it's clear that Dembele is the favourite among the nominees it wil take a miracle for Dembele not to win ballon Dior this year.

Dembele had a beautiful performance and achievement last season. Winning all major competitions that PSG participated in apart from CWC but he was able to be in finals. I don't see any reason why Fifa wouldn't consider him the qualified player to win Ballon d'or because none of the players that you mentioned above was successful compared to him last season.

It's his time and let no one steal his glory from him otherwise, Fifa is biased and I wouldn't be happy with that.

They are right to be angry with the organizers of the event, they deserve it, and they don't understand that champions can't be treated in this way, I always think of how they treated Cristiano Ronaldo to favor Messi, so much so that in the end Cristiano snubbed the competition, because the other was clearly the favorite, Real Madrid are right to be angry

Maybe it's just because Real is the biggest and most influential club in the world? If Real ignores the award, its prestige will fall and its position will be very shaky, since literally a couple of top clubs can join this position and send the entire award into oblivion. It may seem unfair and "undemocratic", but that's the reality. For example, in chess, Magnus also has many privileges and has wiped his feet on FIDE many times, forcing them to endure. After the organizers of the award behaved disrespectfully towards Real, they are getting what they deserve.

What difference does it make what you believe in? Seriously. People are not robots and even where refereeing is a profession (with pay, responsibility, etc.) they are influenced by public opinion, PR, propaganda, etc. Do you really believe that on July 31 they turned off their brains and stopped (at least on a subconscious level) re-evaluating their opinions? I am sure that if Yamal had scored a hat-trick in every game at the beginning of the season (which would correspond to the level of PR around him) and Dembele had played 6.0 all the time, then Yamal would have easily won the award despite the fact that "this is a different season".

Agreed. This year's Ballon d'Or should indeed go to a PSG player because they performed so impressively last season. Personally, I consider Dembele, Vitinha, Donnarumma, Nuno Mendes, and Hakimi among the deserving PSG players. They deserve to be in the top five, and any one of them will win.

I'm including a goalkeeper candidate because I think Donnarumma deserves to win the Ballon d'Or. Donnarumma was impressive throughout last season, especially his performance in the Champions League. Without him, PSG might have failed to win the Champions League last season because his saves were crucial. He performed well against Liverpool, and even impressed in the final against Inter. Perhaps if he wins the Ballon d'Or, he will be the first goalkeeper to win it.

What could be unclear here? Real is the most titled and most popular club in the world. If such a club starts to ignore your award, then you start to lose relevance. France Football is literally a parasite that lives (only in the form of an award, as far as I know the magazine itself has not existed for a long time) due to the popularity of those to whom it gives awards. If other clubs join Real, this award will literally die, that's why they are begging Real - it's a question of their survival.

Ballon d'Or made a very big mistake in last year award, vinicius junior deserve the award more but because of how Ballon d'or always do there things they gave it to rodri, there was already a rumor and I'm sure it was very clear that vinicius Junior was declared the winner of the Ballon d'Or and Real Madrid already prepared for the trip but because they change the winner that was why they cancel the trip and it resulted to a big problem.
So the reason why Ballon d'or is sending delicate to Real Madrid is because they know that Real Madrid is the biggest club in the world and if they declare Ballon d'Or as an award that is full of bias then the award will not make meaning to anyone again and before you know it other clubs will join them in that believe so they just needed to make peace with real Madrid.

There are only 10 days left until the award is presented. Raphinha, Yamal, Dembele, they all had a superb season. However, Dembele who won the Champions League with PSG is ahead of the others. Looking at the odds, it seems certain that Dembele will win the award. I don't think there's any need to look for a surprise here. Because the odds are very far apart and there is almost a consensus. Dembele deserves it and will win. Yes, there are others who deserve it too, but the award is given to only one player and the successes achieved as a team play a huge role alongside individual statistics.

Rodri has picked the player(Yamal) of his choice for the Ballon d'Or award. You don't have to blame him for that, as not everyone would pick Dembele as their number one choice. So many other people(players) would do the same not picking Dembele as their choice when it is obvious Dembele would be the winner of the Ballon d'Or award because of the number of trophies won.

However, those picking other world-class players not Dembele have reasons best known to them as we do have about Dembele

It's true Vinicius Junior had a better chance of winning the Ballon d'Or last season but we saw the Spanish player snatch the award away as a result top notch Spanish club Los Blancos boycotted the event and walked away. But while players from European clubs are currently competing for the Ballon d'Or, French and Spanish players are still trying to create a stir there and although these two players are world-renowned, they are not part of the Los Blancos squad. Even so they may not be present at the Ballon d'Or ceremony this season either because all the players on their team who have been nominated for the award are now far behind. I think they should be realistic because none of their players have been able to shine individually this season compared to last season in the world of football.
