Unarguably, Ousmane dembele has proven himself as the right candidate for the ballon d'Or; he was really upstanding last season by leading PSG to win their very first champions league. For Lamal yamal, he's been an absolute impact in Barcelona, for him to get to this mile at a very young age. I believe he will have to win it only if he wins a European trophy.

Raphinha, who has emerged as the third person in the ballon d'Or list has done incredibly well since being given the captain band by their new coach, Hansi flick. He played almost all the matches last season with the team and helped Barcelona secure all their three major trophies.

It is not shocking to see Vini Jr. in the top 30 list of the Ballon d'Or list. He was the runner up of last year edition, so he being among the 30 shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. After all I don't see how possible it is to count top 30 footballers in Europe currently without mentioning Vini Jr name. Ousmane Dembele still remains the favourites to win the award regardless of the failure of PSG to win the FIFA World Club competition.

I think Vinicius did nothing to win the Ballon D’Or, he wouldn’t be a deserved winner and he has had so many controversies surrounding him, well last year he was favorite he did stand a chance of winning the Ballon D’or but because of the so many controversies surrounding him he wasn’t able to win, this time I doubt if he is going to finish in the top 5 spot, Scoring 22 goals and 19 assists wouldn’t be a criteria for him to win the Ballon D’or considering that their is other players who have more goals and assists if they should go by that Criteria.

I think Dembele is a more standout player and he is favorite to win the Ballon D’or, but we shouldn’t forget that Lamine Yamal did absolutely well and Mohammed Salah was also phenomenal and instrumental to Liverpool season as well, so many of the Paris-Saint-German players had a tremendous impact to their season. So I would be surprised if the winner doesn’t come from that team most especially Ousmane Dembele.

Maybe organisers will consider the fact that he was the runner up last year edition, and he is a big name too and put him in the top 10. Although had his club won a silverware last season, it would have helped his chances up in the ranking. But him being in the top 5 is a big no to me, because I can mention 5 players on my own that will make up the top 5 in this year Ballon d'Or award.

Yeah, they won the Champions League but lost the FIFA Club World Cup to Chelsea. That said, I think the main reason for PSG players dominating the 2025 Ballon d'Or is because the award is presented by French magazine and they likely prefer to have the winner from  French team rather than from others. With that in mind I would support Dembélé, but not any other PSG players.

My top three is Lamine Yamal, Dembele and Raphina. It's actually very difficult to say but based on talent and their overall display this year I will definitely go with Lamine Yamal although he is 17 years old he has been very instrumental for Barcelona and also very important in big games, he talks but he also backs it up with action.

Well I won't blame your for your choice of favourite to win. Everyone is entitled to their opinion until the last day when the winner will be revealed by the organisers. But I just want you to know that the choice of this year Ballon d'Or is tailored down to the performances of players in the just concluded season which is 2024/2025 season alone. I would put Salah over Yamal actually. While it is true that Yamal helped Barcelona win the league, so did Salah and he was a far greater part of the success.

Liverpool did great at group stage of UCL, far better than Barcelona, but they last early on afterwards. Let's see how it will move, but if we can see rankings, I bet that Salah will be either very close, or above Yamal.

Only reason why Yamal is seen as this great, was that he was 17 years old when this happened, so that made things a lot more shocking, you do not see 17 year old players being this good. In either case, Dembele is above them both, and he was the best player.

Honestly, the one who deserves to win the ballon dor this year is definitely Dembele. His contribution to the team is obvious, and the trophies they won speak for themselves. Of course, football is not an individual sport, and everything is achieved as a team, but in my opinion, Dembele stood out the most, even though he had a very good team.

I don’t think there is much to think about when it comes to deciding this season ballon D’or. Osamane Dembele was in an incredible foam last season, I can remember a lot of matches he single handedly decide for PSG. The champions league match against Liverpool, I remember how he troubled that Liverpool defense with his pace and skill and he even ended up scoring in that match.

Dembele getting injured has nothing to do with the odds because this award will be based on last seasons performance, it's clear that Dembele is the favourite among the nominees it wil take a miracle for Dembele not to win ballon Dior this year.

Your right here. The only player deserving to win the award is Dembele. The argument we are seeing is because, many person are sentimental fans. They will rather choose their player to win it, rather than choosing the right person who deserves it more.
