That's how it is... It is all fun and games if you are winning but it is all hell breaking loose when you end up on the losing side. That's what I do when gambling, I never use Bitcoin to bet. Although it's very tempting because if we win, the amount of Bitcoin we have will double. But for me, the principle is that Bitcoin is not for gambling. There are still other options for betting, either using fiat currency or, more often, altcoins. The key is expectation and the value with assign to our money compared to the expectations with have with the outcome of our investment. You use the example of people who pay for a ticket to watch and movie and they do not complain about the fact the cinema is making money off them, but in reality, there will be people complaining if their expectations with the money are not met, you know...
There is a very infamous example with the Dragon Ball Evolution movie, it was a life action movie loosely based on the story of goku, somehow the director and producer ruined it all and people actually complained about it. Their expectations were not met.

That's the nature of gambling/games, right? So no surprise here if people will get hooked every time they sit down and play. The reason why you need to know your limits before you even think of playing. Because if you have no boundaries to start with, would be easy to fall in the trap of gambling. Like you, and most here, I also lost some Bitcoin in Freebitco.in as well. The only difference is that, I only lost a small amount of Bitcoin since I'm not into dice on that website as well. Back in 2017, they're one of the most famous Bitcoin faucets in the whole crypto space, and many are using their website to get free BTC, gamble thru dice, or just simply letting their users store their BTC there for an additional interest.

Unfortunately, there's only a limited amount of thing that we can do to spread awareness about the website because users that have been here for a long time know that there are many users who's accounts got locked on Freebitco.in, and can't retrieve their money anymore. They're still operating, and still continuing to scam those new users out there.

As for Bitcoin being used to gamble, it's the decision of the person on whether they will use it or not. I personally don't hate nor love it. I'm on the neutral one because at the end of the day, it's the decision of the person, and not us. Many look at Bitcoin as a valuable asset yes, but there are some out there who looks at Bitcoin as some asset that can be used for gambling.

And this is one of the major reasons why I stopped gambling using bitcoin or any other volitile crypto currencies, now, I either will gamble with my country's local currency or gamble using any stable coin like usdt, usdc and others.

I made this decision the day I visited one of my old bitcoin wallet, and going through my transaction history, I saw one transaction where I deposited around 0.03 bitcoin to a casino I played on back then in 2016, I do not remember how much this was worth at the time but I am very certain it wasn't worth up to $50, or let me just say $100, I later lost this entire bitcoin while gambling on that casino, I quickly visited coinmarketcap to try finding out how much 0.03 bitcoin was worth that day and I realized it was worth over $2000 at that time, same amount of bitcoin is now worth over $3400, I felt very bad seeing that, I resolved to never gamble in bitcoin or any other volitile crypto asset again..

FBC was a great site, was, because the site is having problems now, the owner has become AWOL and there are threads going on scam accusations for the site with withdrawal problems and a lot more.

I did win their 200$ faucet roll and hence it is very close to my heart, I hope the owners come back and set the site up properly again like a real casino without any of their "fun" token stuff which seem more of distractions rather than useful things.

I agree with you that in gmbling the bigest chance we might be able to lose moree fund which might be unablke to recover and will increase the loss amount. And on lossing the crypto means the same meaning of losing gold or land which price usually increase which make us loss the amount on current amount and comparing future price is higher than the current amount.
