I think it depends when you should buy on what the trend is doing.  If it is plummeting down and hits 100 dollars I am definitely not buying, if it is slowly going down and has a few things when it goes up, I would think about it

i do not think we will see $200 let lone $100 in the future...
this week good week for btc!

Yeah the price reached almost $400 in the last week and it is a good sign for the bitcoin users so I don't think that it would fall to $100 in the coming months and we really don't want that it should reach to that value as it would be unprofitable for the many users of bitcoins but yes the people who wants to get into the bitcoins for the very first time would definitely prefer to buy bitcoins in bulk if the value goes to $100.

If Bitcoin drops to $100 now (or less) it would be because of a devastating blow to it (a major scandal, prohibition of some sorts, etc). And it will fade into nothingness, replaced by a new tech maybe.

I think so too. Without major disaster, the price of bitcoin will rise further. The rise should correlate to the adoption of bitcoin and acceptance of the bitcoin in business. I do not foresee any major problems of bitcoin for the time being. So the price will rise every few years, not every week.

Yes, yes. We all are. But we all also know that this won't happen. Even if it does, we won't buy, as it means something bad has happened. And by that, I mean really bad.

So, in actuality, I'm not waiting. I'm hoping, begging to god even, that this doesn't happen. If this happens, people will panic and start selling their BTC. That will also only make things worse.

looking for a signature campaign, dm me for that

waiting for $100 is like wasting your time. i doubt it will even go below $200
current price makes me buying a certain amount of btc per month.
Not so sure it will even get lower than $200 for long (if it even does). It is just a minor slump before the price goes up significantly. I would buy BTC at the present rate rather than rue later about not buying enough when the value gets actually high.

BTC ain't going to see $100 floor ever, that's for sure... Unless there happens something like exchange hacks that we witnessed such as MT Gox, BTer, etc...
We, the people, are responsible for prices here, as we, as a community decide where to put BTC at, which is the best thing about BTC and its decentralization...

Outdated, yes.  But is anyone pissed they didn't buy when BTC hit $200? That was the most recent bottom and it was only at that level for a few days. I'm glad I got a piece - did you?

I bought ~£300 of bitcoin at that low, when it went to something like $170.

Makes me feel like a genius but of course it was luck, I had no idea at the time that it would be the bottom.

I have since spent far more than £300 at higher prices.

If Bitcoin ever gets low to $100, it would certainly be a massive opportunity to make some huge profit as price will likely go up back again and this would only be temporary. I myself, am eagerly waiting for this to occur.  Grin

When bitcoin under 100$ I might buy back

in other words you're saying that "when bitcoin will be dead i'm going to buy back"

do you known that bitcoin must grow for the miners to be able to continue to mine?

there is no other way around it was designed in that way, well in theory if miner have 100% efficiency and zero electrcity they can keep the mining activity forever even at $1 per btc, but they would earn almost nothing....

No. If price goes down, those miners with higher electricity cost will stop mining so the rest will mine more bitcoins with same electricity input.  Difference will be that Bitcoin will be less secure and easier to get attacked.  If price goes to $100 would be not much difference. But if it goes to $1 would be huge difference. But on other hand, when Bitcoin would be worth $1 it would be worth to attack it 400 times less then right now. It is all in the fundamentals, so no worries to worry about Bitcoin at any price it is. Smiley

You don't have to worry about Bitcoin going to $1. Think of the millions spent during the recent silk road bitcoins auction.
If the price really crashes, one of those bidders just has to step in and the price will rebound.

Maybe this time will not come for a long time from now.
I think that the price may fall even more deeper that it is now but not too much.
For the new year sales i think the price maybe will increase being honest.

I think the price will drop a little bit by Christmas and New Year due to the demand for money to buy gifts and decorations. Then the price will slightly increase till the Lunar New Year

Well that could be happen too, but since there are not much market which accepts bitcoin,
I think that if there were many big shops that accepts bitcoin then the price could be increased.
But i don't think that the price will reach below $100 neither below $300
