Try this... close your wallet. Now take out your wallet.dat from the ECCoin folder and put it on a save place (desktop). Now start the wallet and see if it works normally. If it does, close the wallet and go to the ECCoin folder again, there is a new wallet.dat....throw it in the wastebin and paste the wallet.dat that you saved on your desktop in the ECCoin folder again. Start your wallet and see if it the problem is still there.

the fresh wallet was synced without problems.

In the meanwhile I'll try to find out if I have some older wallet.dat backup that works.

I'm having the same problems, with my backed up wallet.dat.
The new wallet just won't accept it..xD
But i'm on a windows 7 x64 PC.
Trying some things but looking forward to some suggestions aswell. (=

But the latest one has to be from a couple of months ago.

Hmmm...be carefull...If you still have the old wallet as well, then maybe you could try to start them...but... first rename the present ECCoin folder ECCoin1. Then start the old wallet, put the backup in it and close it. Then ..... and here is the risky part... take out the wallet.dat and swith... not replace!!!! To see if that does the trick...but be very careful if there are coins in the new wallet....you can loose the coins if you don't do this correctly

I am looking at staking but what does "PoS 25% annual rewards" mean? Do you get your reward once in a year or every day? And how long does the wallet has to be online?

Not once a year and neither every day as a rule. You will get rewarded for the coins that are in your wallet, as there are many wallets with coins, everybody will get their share when your weight (days without reward, time online, qty of coins) is becoming "heavy". For you to receive the stake you need to be online...to increase your weight you don't..... so it can happen that you stay offline for a week and when you come online you wallet starts to receive coins after a few seconds.

The entire market is down, it's a correction more or less across the board. Only thing we don't know is how deep it will go. Time will tell but, you can be sure it will reverse and start back up. Just don't know when...  Keep the faith and take advantage of this buying opportunity!

again we are NOT doing a QT GUI updated wallet. we are rebuilding the GUI in electron so it has better cross platform and is a lot easier to use. we do not need this redesign as it is not in the right language that the new gui will be in

Exactly! $ECC will most definitely move back up, especially once it's added to other exchanges. Once that happens, everyone who sold due to FUD will be extremely disappointed and will learn a valuable lesson. As for everyone else that was smart enough to hold...Hello future millionaires!

A question about staking, will you get any more coins while staking 24/7 versus staking only once a year ? I had coins back from 2014 and once I opened the wallet to stake, my balance doubled. Is it a fixed yearly inflation or there is something extra for those who stake 24/7 ?

Since I saw on this thread that that isn't abnormal, I sent 1000 ECC from CoinExchange to test it out. The exchange says my order is completed but nothing is in my wallet!  Please help!

what is this bug ? every time I open the wallet it sync up normally but if I leave it open for an hour or so, the sync stops, the only way to continue syncing is to close the wallet and open it again. Does anyone else have this ? 2.4.9, 5 connections x64 win7

Excited to see what transpires. That will be HUGE for ECC. I'm currently holding and will be for a long while. I believe that if we continue this pace of striving for success and getting the word out there, anything is possible. For all of you holding make sure you spread the word on social media, blogs, etc. Be patient! It's rare in today's crypto space to find a coin that has genuine transparency from its development team.

Canyou go to Help->Debug window. Then on the information tab you can find "Last block time" . If that date is before the date that you send your coins to your wallet...then your wallet didn't receive the block yet with your transaction.

When a wallet is out of sync then the last block received isn't the last block in the chain, then it's trying to receive more blocks. New blocks are programmed to be sent on the blockchain every 45sec for ECC.

Hey guys,

Finally managed to download the whole blockchain on the new wallet.
Everything looks fine up to the moment in which I replace the private key with my old wallet.

I get the next error:
