How as an individual can I know if the Earth is a sphere or a flat disc? What experiment can I do that doesn't involve trusting information from a 3rd party that would prove what the geometry really is?

I guess there isn't time for such silly questions.

I just found this thread and it all seems very interesting. I saw few movies on youtube about Flat Earth. I have my own opinion on this matter.  I believe everyone should see both sides arguments and make his/her own conclusion.

Right! Some humongous giant just might take globe earth, sometime, and flatten it out into flat earth like a pizza man flattens a dough-ball into a pizza.
