Shares: 244 / 279 (12.55% stales)  Angry

Is that from the website somewhere or your client?

My client shows 90 Accepted and 2 Stale.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

copy/pasted from the site. However, I just checked on the client and it shows more than 30 stales in the last hour, so they're aligned i guess.

We are having problems with duplicated work & stales.
Unfortunately, we don't have a solution for this YET.

If anyone know how to solve this permanently, I'm offering 10 BTC directly.
The main issue is that I'm seeing a lot of duplicated shares flow into the database - why?!

Contact me over at IRC (#bitcoins.lc) or info@bitcoins.lc

Unfortunately not. It's affecting all account and all users.
(Multiple workers from multiple ip's)

99,9% of the invalid shares are duplicates. We're continuing working on this matter as we speak.

We just implemented uservoice as well. Please share your ideas and suggestions through that.
Last 1-2 days I've recieved over 100 e-mail, 3-4 PM's and possible another 200 ideas on IRC.

Please add and vote on ideas there, you'll find a button for "Feedback & support" at the bottom right of the page.

The main issue is that I'm seeing a lot of duplicated shares flow into the database - why?!

Looks like a sort of validation for received results. Maybe some fancy command line argument/environmental variable on the server?

Did you always had this issue or it came up with the recent increase in pool hashing power? What's the load on the server running bitcoind?

I don't know about this pool. I left my machine all night doing ~ 104 Mhash/s and my guiminer says I have done 945 shares. a) a round completed and a new one started b) the worker sheet says 46 / 49 and it has been all night. All confirmed and unconfirmed rewards are at zero.

Can anyone explain this pool's way of working to me please?

The number of shares you see on the site are for the last 30 minutes, not the total amount of shares.

Your shares will be converted to bitcoin when a block is found. You will then have bitcoin in Unconfirmed Funds, which will be moved over to Confirmed Funds after a while.

b) the worker sheet says 46 / 49 and it has been all night. All confirmed and unconfirmed rewards are at zero.

The number in the worker sheet is referred to the last 30 minutes.
Current round is going since 13 hours. If you joined the pool after    Friday 10 Jun 02:03:08 UTC (mind the UTC) then 0 founds is the correct amount.

Why do you require an email to register? Why not just a username?

Password reset and upcoming business plans for marketplace.
Also for upcoming notifications and future plans. It's always good to have ways communication.

We do not sell, spam or share the e-mail addresses with ANYONE either.

You could just enter a fake e-mail (or 10minutemail, or hushmail) if you want to.
But we strongly recommend not doing so.

Its your pool and your policy, but other pools just require a username and password for registration and allows to optionally set up an email.
