WooHoo! 100 Blocks!  Grin

I managed to get .2 btc off of that 8 hour round with 1.7 ghash/s....

Yep... But on average I am getting about 1 BTC a day at the new difficulty with about 8-850MH/s.... You win some and you lose some on the short term... then you have blocks that get solved in 3 minutes.. So some days you just have to take it in stride. On average this pool has done quite well.
Indeed! I have been referring people here, because payouts seem higher here than others, on average!

Getting rpc timeouts every now and then, forcing the miner to connect to backup pool for atleast 50 works.

I'll add to the list, lots of RPC timeouts and idle GPUs.

Seems like my slow nvidia 275 gtx has less problems, but my 7 times faster 6950s are constantly dropping to backup pool.

Yeah, I woke up and found someone had turned my computer off, and it was good timing for me, I only lost out on about 2/3 of one round. Last time that happened I missed about 5 rounds.

Came home from work, and found my main one off... Apparently, my wife thought it would be a good idea to put the cats in the spare room... Sigh...  The power button is in such an orientation, that they turn it off when walking on the top of the chasis. I guess it was putting out too much heat for them... lol.

So decided to join this pool over Deepbit, because your rates are better. Heres a few issues I am having:

1. I am using a 5830 card with latest GUIminer. I get a steady 270Mhash/s. I signed up to Bitcoins.lc 2 days ago and overnight each day, I ran it for 7 hours straight. The first night I got 1422 Accepted and a BTC value of 0.14097557 which was great, however last night I ran it for the same 7 hours and only got 525 accepted with only a 0.02xxxxxx payout! So the 2nd night was totally disappointing in terms of work done and payout. I never figured that there would be such widely varying amounts (work and payout) - I expected some obviously but not such contrasting amounts! Is this something to do with the pool?

2. My stale blocks also seem to be way higher in this pool than when I was on Deepbit. The night before it wasn't too bad (but still higher than Deepbit) but last night it was around 10% which I feel is pretty high. Just my luck or are these pool specific?

The last 36hrs, I've been having some connection issues. My stales are better here than anywhere else I've mined, sitting at about .3%! I also earn more here on average, than any other pool! In fact, I earn .15-.3BTC/day more than the BTC calculators say I should earn, on a pretty regular basis!
