How to ping? cannot ping bitcoins.lc - -
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

You could ping jine.be, it's on the same hw node/network.

Why do you want to do that tho? Having issues?
Please contact us via e-mail and we can try to locate the issues.

bleh, the only time we have short blocks is during the day when I'm not mining. Whenever I mine we get the long, 10+ hour blocks. Damn bad luck. Tongue

Is the estimated earnings/24h calculated based on the total hash rate of the pool, or does it take into actual round durations and blocks found? It seems a little high.

It's looks to be calculated based on total difficulty and your hash rate. The number varies based on those variables and not the pool's luck, etc. and I think that is good because those shifts cannot be planned no matter how big or small the pool is.

We just had the first issue in 2 weeks or so, a pushpoold node hung.
It was quickly restarted and everything works as it should now.

A few users may have encountered a short disconnection and one or two rpc-issues.

Sorry about that Smiley Just a few miners were affected.

EDIT:
The reson for the issue seems to be a upstream peers that died. There seems to be a few DC's here in Stockholm that's out of power.
Not sure why, we're not affected by it - but one of our peers died, which lead to a few dropped connections.

This made one of our nodes (push05) hung due to the amount of "new" connections all at once.

Redundans is the shit.

We're now got port 80, 8080 and 8332 active in the load balancer.
If you use the dedicated host pool.bitlc.net you'll be able to use all those Smiley

Great for people behind firewalls, NAT and/or proxys...

The domain bitcoins.lc and port 8080 will continue to work in the future aswell - no need to change if you dont WANT or need it.

We're also testing a few new patches out for bitcoind and pushpoold, to minimize or possible get rid of stales completely.
It looks good so far: [366.86 Mhash/sec] [266 Accepted] [0 Rejected] [RPC (+LP)]

Patch applied to all nodes, hopefully - this will result in close to 0% stales.

EDIT:
Update after a few hours:

Stales reduced from around 1.8% to around 0.7% so whatever you did made a difference.

Cheers Jine!

Noticed that another pool announced that they we're planning to give away Google Ad-word Vouchers.
I got a couple of those my self... currently i think it's about 30-40.

So...
I'm giving away free Google Ad-words vouchers to members to use for their Bitcoin Project (That is a requirement!)
Just send an e-mail to info@bitlc.net with a breif description of your project and I'll get back to you with a $100 / 750 SEK / 654 DKK / ??? EUR voucher. :)

I'm doing this for the Bitcoin community, not to compete with that other pool.

Jine,
I know you're busy, dropped you an email or two and a couple of PMs with no reply, just pinging in case your box is loaded up.
