Here take a look at this..
I thought I'd help you out, I put a little blue mark at the start of a new round. New round starts, 3-400Ghash of pool hoppers jump on the 180Ghash pool.

1022    29 Jan 17:10:46    49m 14s
1021    29 Jan 16:21:32    7h 16m
1020    29 Jan 09:05:05    1 h 13m
1019    29 Jan 07:51:25    8m 43s
1018    29 Jan 07:42:42    1 h 40m
1017    29 Jan 06:02:24    8h 32m
1016    28 Jan 21:30:14    4h 19m
1015    28 Jan 17:11:03    11m 40s

Why the pool hasn't changed payment systems, after six months of knowing this is a problem, is beyond me. I was mining here on block #6, but I have no interest in mining while there is a 20% "hopper fee" in lower rewards.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Thanks for the explanation. It would be nice if stats are delayed by a day or so in this pool, or a hopper unfriendly payment scheme could be implemented.

Those spikes are remarkably close to the rates on ABCProxyPool.

Stats delaying is not effective anymore, there are other ways to detect pool's new blocks.

Nice pool here looks good. Really appreciate the transparency and like the direction Bitlc seems to be going. Keep up the good work.

Those spikes are remarkably close to the rates on ABCProxyPool.
I saw that ABC admitted to using the pools hash power to pool hop but did abcpool ever come clean with wat pools they had been hopping?

Stats delaying is not effective anymore, there are other ways to detect pool's new blocks.

So, when the block is generated by the pool, it is being broadcast over the network, i.e. to the poolhopper directly connected to the pool daemon.
The poolhopper can determine that the block has been generated by the pool (and not relayed by the pool), if it haven't got the block from the other sources first.

Is Bitlc supporting P2SH right now (BIP 16)? I know it's supposed to, but I can't see it @ http://www.blockchain.info/p2sh yet. I would definitely like to see this support asap or I would consider changing to another pool. I hope everyone understands how important this is.

Hi!

We DO support PS2H and I've been in contact with Gavin for the past month regarding this, we also discovered a bug in the P2SH backports (and main GIT tree) which didn't add tx-fees in new blocks.

I'm not sure the reason why we're not showing up, but all our blocks contains a vote for /P2SH/ as far as i know...

Jine,

Wondering what your current and long term plans are for pool hopping, I'm watching the hash rate trend from 400+ to 170 or so as a round gets longer and the obvious question is should I bounce on this train also since it appears you have more then 50% of your hash rate hopping.

Yes.

We're switching to DGM/PPLNS/other-payment method as soon as we figured out which one.
I'll launch a separate poll about this in a few hours...

"I'm watching the hash rate trend from 400+ to 170 or so as a round gets longer"  If the 400 GH starts around share 1 and stops around < or = 43.5% it is not hopping...just an occasional miner trying to hop here or just trying it out here.  if they miner at all over 100% difficulty, you make money... I mined in step with the 400 GH miners and DID NOT GET over 90% efficiency.  So Pedro, did you even track your earning to see if you are losing...or just cry that the sky was falling?

Previously someone pointed out that we didn't show up on the vote-p2sh page on blockchain.info.
This was cause poolserverj didn't add the /P2SH/ string into the coinbase (even tho our bitcoind DO support P2SH!)

It's fixed now, with a bit of help from Eleuthria (or well, a heads up anyway).

After the weekend we will open up the deposit-bitcoin functionality and launch another service... that's for now - a secret Wink
