WALLET UPGRADE DEADLINE IS JULY 15.

6) Exchanges1) Supply Change will take effect as of today, July 1st 2015. New wallets will reflect the change of 10,000 to 1 reduction. Example, if you have 1 Million DSH in your wallet, it will now display as 100 DSH. At the current market price, 1 DSH should now be worth 0.000006 BTC (.003 XMR) instead of 0.0000000006 BTC (0.00000030 XMR)
2) All pools must upgrade by the 15th or will removed from OP.
3) Pools that have upgraded, please send a PM and you will be listed within the OP. Pools will be listed in the order of percent donated to Dashcoin project.

Supply Reduction:There are a few reasons why we think supply reduction is good for Dashcoin and would like community feedback on this subject:
1) Currently Dashcoin is only present in one exchange, and trading only in XMR market (kudos to Poloniex). This is a dangerous situation since a decentralized currency can only survive if there is a functioning network. For the number of Dashcoin adopters to grow they need incentives and, to be honest, there is not much to do yet, except trading.
2) Another problem is that since DSH is only pegged with XMR, this only seems to hurt DSH. If XMR price goes up, people sell DSH for XMR, if newcomers want to invest in DSH, they have to buy XMR first, in process moving the price up of XMR making DSH more expensive, hence people sell more DSH since XMR price went up and the cycle goes on. DSH need to be pegged with BTC and other alts in order for it to grow.
3) Price is at subtoshi, which makes it harder to get it listed on various exchanges due to limitation of decimal places supported by exchanges. There is only 1 exchange (hitbtc.com) we know of that supports subtoshi decimal places. Currently Dashcoin is high up on the hitbtc voting list, but we don't anticipate it getting listed unless there is some drastic push for it.
4) By reducing supply, each coin value will increase and in process put the price above subtoshi level. This will also reset the order books and force the market to go through a price discovery phase.
5) Will make it much easier to get Dashcoin listed on other exchanges since the price will be above 1 satoshi. For obvious reason, one of the goals is to get it listed on other exchanges as well besides Poloniex. Many thanks to Poloniex, it has been a great home for DSH and hope it will continue to be. Note: DSH has always had a high volume on XMR market within Poloniex.

We encourage all pools to donate portion of their fees to Dash coin project. Pools will be listed in order of % donated from fees. Pool owners that are MIA or/and “dead” pools will be removed from the list within the OP.

Original dev (slb) took a new approach to insure longevity of this coin. By mainly removing direct development and developer out of the picture by mirroring bytecoin’s code base. which is automatically updated and is being developed by more qualified individuals. This will prove to have several advantages for Dash as some of them are summarized below.
1) Not to reinvent the wheel - Based on proven technology that works.
2) Removes costs associated with the continuous development and upkeep of a coin.
3) Immune to developer going missing (main reason for the downfall of most coins)
4) More time and resources can be spent for Dash and not on Dash.
5) Automated processes for the maintenance and upkeep of Dash.
6) First Autonomous, decentralized cryptocurrency.

Introductionpapa_lazzarou and I (kushedout) have both been part of crypto community for a while now and have been DASH supporters since its early days. Papa_lazzarou and I are both active on IRC and with the help of others, kept the channel alive and active to see it slowly grow and would like to keep the momentum going. This is not a community takeover or rebranding. We are couple of Dashcoin community members ensuring that Dash coin related services and information remains available for the community. Just to clarify, DASH coin does not require an active development or developer. There is nothing to fix or update. All updates/upgrades will be performed automatically. Dash is decentralized, in every sense of the word. However, there are plans and side projects that are currently in development by the original dev and other community members that Dash coin will directly benefit from (see related projects below).
Current State of DASHAs all of you already know by now, DASH coin name is now being used by DarkCoin.
They have aquired Dashcoin.net and twitter acount informaiton, etc.. from the original Dev, believing this would give them the rights to use DASH coin name. We don't blame the original dev for selling a domain name and account information to make extra profit for himself. There is, however, one little problem: DASH COIN IS NOT FOR SALE. The purchaser forgot the meaning of decentralized, and we are sure DASH community will agree that DASH coin belongs to no individual, but to the whole community, and the community didn’t agree on name change or rebranding. Maybe it was a poor attempt by Dark coin to pump the price or get some attention, but it was meaningless as they can not buy something that can not be sold, a decentralized blockchain and open source software as is, in this case, DASH coin. How they choose to waste their money is their problem, as the True DASH coin is very much active with the same name and will continue forward with new energy behind it.
Its time for DASH coin community to remind Dark coin, and everyone else, the true meaning of decentralized crypto currency.
