Areilbit...I suggest you stick to what you truly know and not get into discussions on matters you have no knowledge about. Dark community didn't try to kill anything.  We bought your developers business which was his right to sell.  If you do not believe in this basic tenant of business then your are way out of your league.  Certainly the source is open and you may do anything you wish with it...but the brand Dash was held by its developer.  Dashcoin had no intrinsic value in it, not the code or the market cap or value...other then the name and your developer knew this and decided he wanted out.  There is NOTHING wrong with this...and spewing hate about this is wrong.  If you do not believe I or any other company has the right to sell their intellectual property to another party....YOU ARE a socialist communist!  Plane and simple

as i mentioned in the previous thread dashcoin should have a meaning to "dash"

people will ask what is "dash" in dashcoin, what does it mean?

i would suggest "decentralized cash"..it automatically means cryptocurrency.

while darkcoin's DASH is "digital cash" which is similar to paypal and online banking digital cash..that will be the first impression from newbies.

any other ideas should be presented and lets have a poll so we can vote.

I am drafting up the second post, which will clarify this by outlining the philosophy behind DASH, the intend of original dev and the technology backing it. The message should of been clear but it appears either people did not read the OP or read it but did not comprehend it. Here is the tl;dr version: DASH coin does not have or need a dev. What it has is a growing community, what it needs is even more side projects that DASH can directly benefit from.

I have read the OP.

I see that there are many places where Dashcoin is now being referred to as DASH.

So, let me get this right:

1. Dashcoin dev sells out to the Darkcoin dev who uses the acquisition to assist with the re-brand of Darkcoin to DASH;
2. For more than a month now complete buffoons like arielbit have been trolling the DASH ANN thread going on and on and on ad nauseum (to the point of exhausting stupidity that seems to know no end) with "They stole our name...." and "Dashcoin is the original....we will not give up" and "The Dashcoin community will continue on..." and "Dashcoin forever!" etc. etc. regardless of how many times the DASH people have pointed out that none of what he's saying makes any sense;
3. Most of the people involved in DASH appear to not be particularly concerned that there's a "Dashcoin" still in existence; it's neither here nor there and not that important.
4. Now, more than a month later, when Dashcoin has had such incredible exposure because of Darkcoin's rebranding to DASH, you are now also rebranding Dashcoin to be called "DASH" by using that term in preference to "Dashcoin"?

People know what they can expect. But as you (clearly) don't, I will explain it.

Peole can expect Dashcoin to keep mirroring the latest changes in Bytecoin codebase. They can even expect some bugs to appear. But I can assure you they can expect support and fixes. Even if we (meaning Kushed and I) are unable to solve them by ourselves, I am pretty sure that we will get help. Because, that is what community means.

Maybe that's somewhat hard to digest if you have a 'Dev-God' mentality, but that's just the way it is.

Oh! and there are two more things people can expect: True privacy and fair launch.
