http://Http://bit.ly/btcdish

I was thinking of setting up something like this a long time ago.  Bitcoin makes it possible and easy.

Works like the take a peny leave a penny dish, that many small stores have.

If your a btc short to make a purchace, grab one, pay it back later.

Need a quick btc loan, grab some and repay when you can

This is compleetly on your honor.
Most people in the community are very honerable.
There are a few that aren't.  Atleast the block chain can be a slight deterant.

Want to donate, drop some in

I put an ad in the link so it generates a little money.  Takes a lot of clicks to generate anything but it can add up.

It uses instawallet

http://Http://bit.ly/btcdish

Edit leave a 0.01 BTC. Take a 0.01 BTC  I did not intend a whole BTC since its currently at $8usd, someone thought i did.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I've never seen anything so naive...

For just one valid criticism, a "penny dish" in RL is not an "$8 dish"...

Ita not $8 usd, its $0.08 usd, till the decimal is moved.

Mybitcoin would allow smaller coins but the trust needed for the password is much greater, and, instawallet works better for this.

I dont expect large donations to this, and i wont be constantly monitoring it to take 0.01 BTC when it shows up.  Maybe someone can build something better. I put very little effort in, and it could be useful to people just getting started and dont have any btc yet.
Sure theres the faucet, but thats one use only.
And some peoole dont have a google account, and dont want to sign up.

Oh mah goodness. The dish is empty!

I am so shocked. This truly rattles my faith in the inherent goodness of humanity.

In just a few jumps back to wallets with 10K+ Btc transfers

The instawallet site has the request show up when you load the page
Not sure how instawallet verified this human error, and I'm not sure how to research this any further.

The btcdish link is posted mainly here, witcoin ad btcbubble
I will post in those places, and am contacting instawallet.

If you found 6.04 btc in the dish please return to the proper owner

If you are the right full owner
Sorry I didn't think this would happen.  I don't have 6btc to give you.

The wallet has gotten roughly 200 views

Hope your not trying to pull a scam.  I'll be back here when I hear from instawallet admin.

Thx for getting back to me, I wasn't aware that this was the penny dish Instawallet. The "human error" was basically me screwing up during some testing of the site (these are my personal funds, no Instawallet funds are affected). I was hoping for the lucky founder to be honest and return it to me. Seeing as this is such a public wallet, I guess the chances are slim. In any case, here is an address to return it to: 1JU1RGvKiMXRTwPXseuDQY7JkPa7oU4X4Z . I will also gladly pay a finder's reward and am happy if 5 BTC are returned.

In the meantime, I'll remove the message shortly and consider it an expensive mistake. Thanks for using Instawallet!

Hive, a beautiful wallet with an app platform for Mac OS X, Android and Mobile Web. Translators wanted! iOS and OS X devs see BitcoinKit. Tweets @hivewallet. Donations appreciated at 1HLRg9C1GsfEVH555hgcjzDeas14jen2Cn.

Ill do what i can to find the finder, hopefully its a regular in the community.  Hope they were able to profit from it so they will be more able to pay it back, since they were the unwitting finder of missplaced funds.

Maybe the person who recieved them as payment from the finder can contact them.

Now that you have an idea where it went, maybe alter the error message.
