It looks like user submitted content and not actual reporting. Same as Zimbabway declaring BTC as official currency. Relax Regards

Nice joke. Sadly the joke is on all the people who lost money. We all still hope that someday it will all be found.

Just a information: if 650k BTC that previously not in the market suddenly pushed into the market, then the price must drop by a lot!

Absolutely, the price would probably crash. The market barely handles te 3600 btc that ar mined each day let alone 650k bitcoin. But this doesn't look like a trustworthy or official source.

Some of the coins might already have been dumped. He is a fat ass thief who made people lose millions, but he is not that stupid to deposit everything into several exchanges. Coins have been mixed thoroughly and sent to hundreds - thousands of addresses in small quantities. That's his best chance in hoping no one will find out his addresses.

unless they sold those off market, like someone intelligent would do, but it doesn't matter because this news is fake as hell

It is most likely an april fools joke. What puzzles me tho and what I dont get is, how did Karpeles hide 650K BTC? Jesus. Isn't bitcoin pseudoanonymous? why aren't they able to trace the coins back? Did he really run 650000 coins throught a mixer or what?

I imagine this would not be too funny to the people that lost their life savings in that fiasco. It is probably a case of click whoring by the site. Either way it is a crappy thing to give people false hope.

Okay, I stopped reading there. Why would you believe that? Even if Karpeles did find a wallet hidden his couch, do you really think he's going to return the coins or at least make an announcement? I very much doubt it.

I very much doubt it. If he can recover the bitcoin he will be able to return and fulfill all the users, because he is obligated. If it is only an April fool, then go fuc* yourself karpeles and who wrote that article.

This is fabricated. There is no other media on the internet reporting the story. There was not a news conference where MK stated he found 650,000 coins. Mark Karpeles stated at a news conference that while looking for his car keys, he found an old style bitcoin wallet in his couch cushions...
