i already contactet the pool(boy)  Grin

he answered that the magi team is monitoring hashspeed and will adjust the payout after the campaign.

and now you have to think for yourself, is he stealing coins from the rest of the pool, or does the whole pool get more coins because of more hashrate...
if the answer with the monitoring is right, i'll be fine with the situation.

Yes it is. But would be good if pool admins send this miner a warning!

Hello XGM miners, I wanted to put this little tutorial for cloud mining XGM, it can help new miners looking for info on this campaign.

Today I registered with http://www.softlayer.com/ they are offering
USD$500 to try the service using the code 500BUILD: "http://www.softlayer.com/info/five-hundred?utm_source=adroll&utm_medium=remarketing_banner&utm_content=500BUILD+336x280+JPEG&utm_campaign=adroll_south_america_high_intent", for that money you can put to work 12-16 cores for a month  Wink depending on your configuration.

This method also works with Azure, Google Cloud (free trials) and AWS Free Tier.

I selected an linux-ubuntu machine and installed CPUMINER.

The following is an example of the steps needed to mine MAGI (XGM), you can mine others coins just by changing the .git for the right one for your coin:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install git screen automake build-essential libboost-all-dev libdb5.1-dev libdb5.1++-dev libminiupnpc-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev libgmp-dev

git clone https://github.com/wolf9466/wolf-m7m-cpuminer.git

cd wolf-m7magi-cpuminer-v2
./autogen.sh
CFLAGS="-O3" ./configure
make
sudo cp minerd /usr/local/bin

then you can put a background process by calling:
nohup minerd -a m7mhash -s 4 -o stratum+tcp://mining.m-hash.com:3334 -u yourusername.yourworker -p yourpassword &

Hello again, I'm a participant right from the start. I will have some downtime due to migration next week (new country, new life). The expected downtime will be a couple of days. Will I be still eligible to continue where I left off?
Yes amigo! You shared the reason so you are very welcome again! Magi team has some people on holidays also! Including myself! Grin
Hello again, I'm back (yay!)
It's been a little more than a few days b/c my system SSD failed and I had to work a lot before I could afford to buy a new one. Anyway, my miner is up and running again. My next PC build will have a raid array to avoid data loss for sure!

Greetings all!

New to all of this and mining with CPU (I7-3630qm) Not for profit, but for learning and just the heck of it :-)

I am also confused about the whole max-hashrate claim.

My rate is somewhere around 50 Khash/s

But I see several miners with hasrates above 250 Khash/s

I mine on pom.m-hash.com

Not sure how to post a screendump but as of right now there are 9 miners with too high hashrate.

So what gives? :-)

Please add me to the community. Smiley

Prompt, on a pool pom.m-hash.com:
Statistics -> Pool -> Contributor Hashrates -> column XMG / Day
This value is deceptive and greatly overstated.
Shows: 100KH / s = 7 XMG / Day
Reality: 100KH / s = less than 1 XMG / Day

Why? Huh

Hello all,

I thought hashrate above 250 KH/s was forbidden?

Ditto, mine is also showing 7+ /day and Im only getting .33/day at the most.

Also, I thought there was a "No speeds faster than 250 kH/s" rule? The top 9 miners are all over that. Doesn't this slow the payouts down?

Yes huge hashrates will lower the blockrewards. Its a mindset change and that takes time before people notice that.
