@killacam8888 this guy has one goal: he wants to buy cheap coins, don't be fooled and don't sell your coins to this guy.

Some thoughts on escrow:

Quote
Notes on Escrow and Reputation

Choice of Two Party Escrow
To appreciate the value of the two party escrow system and why it is so important for secure, private and middle men free exchange, it is worth considering problems with the traditional approach of using a 3rd party escrow agent.

In a third party escrow system the buyer and seller ask a third trusted party (an escrow agent) to receive payment from the buyer before the item is delivered and to then release the payment to the seller after the item is delivered. If there is a dispute about the quality of the item or whether it was delivered, the third party acts as a mediator and decides whether to send the payment or refund the buyer. Some of the problems with this model include:

  •     Unless escrow agent receives the item before forwarding it to the buyer and has the expertise to verify the quality of the item, they have no means of fairly mediating a dispute. This problem becomes much worse when services are being exchanged. Proof of package delivery doesn't verify what was delivered or it's quality and photos from the buyer could be of another item, etc.
  •     Credit cards and centralized marketplaces seem like existence proofs of working escrow agents but they are non-anonymous, do not resolve disputes fairly (as most small merchants can tell you) and are known to break in markets with high fraud potential (e.g. third world countries, porn, etc).
  •     Untrustworthy escrow agents who may steal escrow, fail to release escrow or collude with (or be) one of the parties.
  •     Escrow agents with strong reputation may be doing a long con to take off with or extort a large payment or group of payments.
  •     Escrow agent expenses in the form of labor and risk are passed on to the buyer and seller.
  •     Finding a trustworthy agent requires a reputation system and building reputation systems in anonymous networks remains an unsolved problem

Fortunately, two party escrow made possible by Sling's multi-signature transactions can solve all of these problems.

Impressive. I have to give to the Dev. Good masternode scheme / structure. My team is on the fence, again, for now.

But, you guys are missing the real $$. Got to be AHEAD of the Market !!

There is a coin that is about to explode next week !!

Thanks

what will happen to my funds now 1050 Sling is at Escrow.. looks like the buyer ain't paying maybe it was test buy:)
who knows.. i can't seem to cancel the order of get my Slings back? what can i do Dev?

If you go into coin control and try to work out which input has gone to the potential escrow transaction (before escrow lock can spend them), you could then send the inputs to another address.

Might be a good idea if I add a "cancel" button that spends the inputs so you don't have to manually recover them should the buyer/seller not complete the escrow lock.

I2P coming this week.

Killacamblablah = reported and ignored. I ask people please do not quote or respond to his immature tactics.

Dev worked hard no matter how he brought the market, but that isn't all this coin can be.
I would appreciate clarification if he farmed out the work as it was presented that he did many 24 hour sessions to code it.
I respect hard work, but I respect smart work more. If the work was subbed out, be up front with it.
Be honest and represent what you have accomplished no matter how it was done. As long as you have the skills and the contacts to provide a creative ongoing development and support schedule this coin will be fine.

We don't need immediate high prices so people can make the exchanges rich, we need a solid roadmap (which we have).

Slayer has done everything he said he would.
I see no contradictory proof. I see nothing negative about this coin other than fairy-tales being propagated by people attempting to manipulate the price so they can make a quick buck.

If I had been present at the time Shadow or Monero were in an adoption phase I would be in those coins. They seem to have strong development and support teams along with a big future.
I see SLING with the same perspective with the exception the dev team seems to consist of Slayer. He may have more people involved, he may have considerable resources to have things addressed and if so represent those things, if not work with your community to do so.

Slayer should take some time to handle a little PR and address this point, but mainly he should work on supporting documentation for the abilities this coin has in place. From posting updated source with the appropriate dependency requirements, a how-to on setting up a masternode, specific details regarding how the market option is intended to be used.

Slayer, these things are needed for the use of this coin to expand. Forget about pushing out more code, get some rest, put all of the Fudsters out of your mind, put the price out of view, and concentrate on what makes a good coin great.

If you want some assistance with any of these "smaller" tasks I will help. I am sure there are others here who will as well. Specifically if there is a language barrier...

Never fear anything you see as a personal shortcoming, or worry about something others may say is detrimental to the coin. You have already shown you have skills to produce something good no matter what code was used from where. Be a true leader and fill any weakness with others strengths and the coin will stand. If you ignore them as time goes on it will be detrimental. The right amount of communication is a MUST to maintain the right people's attention.

By the way a note about my investment:
I won't get rich if SLING goes to 100, 200, or 500, and I won't go broke if it drops to 0. It isn't about the money, but about the process and technology. I have my bit of coin running in support and I am educated on all of the possibilities, IE Slayer could be a dev from another coin doing this as a side project to make some coin, using code from that coin or coins where he is mainly focused. He could be working for Bob's group on contract and the whole thing be a copy / paste way to make Bob more money. The fact is, it is good code and it has a chance to make a good impact on the community. You cannot go through life dismissing everything good because of all the things which could be going on. Let the facts and experience with the product speak until proof of the contrary exists. Until then you are only causing problems by spreading rumors.

Some of the people in this thread are why crypto is in a bad state. Which people should be obvious, and that list will grow longer as time goes on. The list of good people may grow shorter, but at this point it is up to Slayer and no one else to decide what happens. I am prepared to support him until I see something which shows I should not. Words from a kid on the internet without proof to back them up is the very definition of FUD.

Slayer enjoy your weekend and come back communicating where we are, and how you plan to move forward.

Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function.
Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.

i have the escrow but i can't seem to recover nor can i see the balance of the escrow. The wallet dealing with it really weird, ducuting Escrow fees, i don't know even how much there is left.. i send like 500 coins to from escrow to my main wallet.. it deducted Escrow fees.. bit odd to charge me Escrow fees since i have been bullied by the Buyer who didn't pay now i am stuck with fees?
But isn't there any expiry time on it so it auto-releases?

how can i get the funds back?

UPDATE!!: I see those deducted Escrow fees make my Escrow even grow should have been 1050.01 now like 1087.71483218 now in Escrow whats app next?

There are no fees for the market, the security deposit is the item price + 0.01 sling.

First step is to use coin control and you should be able to see where your (potential but not locked) escrow funds are located and transfer them to another address that you own.

Thats the problem.. when i browse trough the coin control with inputs i can't see any input of 1050.01..
so i can actually choose manually change address to the Escrow Address and then send the coins to other address seems not to work

getting frustrating if it were a few Slings i would say fudge it, but it's not:)

PS But Dev will help me out

Just want to say hats off to Slayer taking time out from his family on Mothers Day to help this gentleman with his Escrow issue. That is above and beyond the call of duty. Hope everyone is enjoying their day off and having a good time with their moms. Cant wait for the new week to begin and to see what lies ahead for Sling in the upcoming weeks.
