The Wallet of the dev shows it all he is selling a chunk each time he hypes about
Ubernodes and other crap which was succesfull for a pump on other coins.

And when it goes up the dev sells another few 1000 coins. And in the end there is
zero proof of development only hyping but no real product.

Project was abandoned for years and suddenly he starts hyping and selling.
dev sold 450.000 coins this year about 10% of all tokens and where is the product?

Also your avatar says it all a can of cheap beer I know your kind of people all to well

Because it's cotton candy (caxapнaя вaтa) my friend  Smiley

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

@pc888 - I think we need to add a development fund to Bata. Every PoW and PoS reward will fund a collection of Multi-Sig wallets for the use of development and promotion.

This way we can stop spending our own money and resources. All the bagholders sitting around waiting for our efforts to get them huge profits will actually contribute to a consistent pay stream for us to continue development of a project we started and continue to nurture.  Or better yet, start an ICO, raise millions and leave the 'investors' hanging to dry. How many of those have happened over the last few years, it is sickening!

Or we could just stop this insanity, become forum trolls and Pump and Dump coins on YObit. This requires little talent and even less morals.

Things look so much easier from the outside, but they don't seem to contribute anything constructive.

At least we are attempting to build the systems that will operate economies of the future.  We can say we tried!

My rant is done... back to coding the future.

@midnightminer with you on the development fund.

Excellent idea! Please contribute to development of Bitcoin Firewall / Profit Share Platform: https://github.com/BiznatchEnterprises/BitcoinFirewall

I doubt anyone will actually donate - so perhaps a fraction of every PoW and PoS reward should be used for a development fund!

FYI to all the people accusing the development team on dumping a large volume of coins recently:

The Ask orders on Bittrex are 685895.579 BTA
The last time @pc888 transferred BTA from his wallet was 6 days ago and that was only 3803 BTA.. do the math!

Bata has never asked for a donation for development.

Bata is also not in debt due to organic growth - no crowdfund or ICO .

With a self funding system we can ensure that Bata's future is taken care of.

Any news coming out for this coin? and is there still a master node?

Yes, Midnightminer posted in Slack:

Here are some of the details that I am working on to finalize the Masternode and Hybrid Rewards...

The PoS reward is 1 BTA per 1000 BTA held for 7 days.  This is using the PoS version 2 method with coin age and weight.  I will reference this in whitepaper. Now BTA is not intended to be a holding coin, we want to keep the coin fluid and liquid.  Masternodes provide network security, but they also tie up coins that are not being used, it adds value but affects availability.

To compensate the Masternodes for their resources and providing reliable security they will receive a reward for each PoS reward confirmed.  Having too large a reward will only lock-up more funds and create more Masternode management traffic than necessary.  The trick is finding the balance to encourage network resilience, not creating a network of bag holders like many PoS coins.

If we generate to high a reward, then inflation is too high and the coin does not gain or retain value.

The target is to reach 5 Million coins in the current PoW stage and the transition to Masternode Hybrid, and then add another 5 Million to the total over the next 10 yrs.

This will provide enough currency for the Barter Platform.

The current model is using 1 BTA per 1000 BTA held for 7 days, That PoS reward will also send 0.2 BTA to a Masternode, and for the first 500K blocks of PoS 0.2 BTA to a Development Fund (after 500K blocks this will lower to 0.1 BTA per PoS). That is the proposal so far.

PoW blocks do not generate any rewards for Masternodes or the Development fund as of yet in the code.

I have not worked out the optimum block reward for PoW blocks yet.  It needs to balance out the network and it may need to increase to a higher reward than it is at now. 0.1953125 is a low value to attract miners.  However that can change it the value of BTA increases 10 fold.  This is a plausible scenario, so adding too much PoW reward may offset the balance with PoS rewards.

or that the quantities of the developers gradually sell their coins? You are one of them team or just an active participant?

He is developer. To understand the situation, take a look here: http://bata.midnightminer.net/richlist
He has mined,or bought half ton of Bata. That means, devs have strong plan for this coin.

Bitcoin Firewall Whitepaper now available!

World’s first implementation of connections firewall & artificially intelligent attack detection in Bata (BTA) Cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin Firewall 1.1

Developed by Justin Percy — Bata Development

Why a firewall?
Bitcoin Firewall 1.1 uses a very unique method for detecting potential hard-fork attacks, coupled with dynamic block chain DDoS flooding. All connected nodes/peers are examined using a dynamic rule set. By quickly avoiding long-term acceptance of malicious commands and transactions, Bitcoin based developers of cryptocoins can easily mitigates risks involved with low network hash-rates, and the costs involved with attempting to maintain the majority of network hashing.
If rule set criteria are met, the connecting node is further examined to verify that their blockchain start height is within safe limits of the average among all peers connected. Range based dynamic blockchain checkpoints implementing averages instead of static heights, further enhance network security by limiting potential attacks known as “more than 51% of distributed hashing power”. Once a potential attack is detected: the connected node/peer is forcefully terminated and added to a session blacklist and immediately refused future connections. This can be considered a temporary session break, for safety.
>51% majority hash-power attack
Mining new coins requires consensus among all nodes on the network to agree upon validation of new blocks containing existing (spent) confirmed transactions. Mining pools compute new hash values and send the data to the network via the nodes, eventually showing up in a client wallet. This process is very complex and requires all peers to cooperate by confirming and transferring funds safely among all participants of the network efficiently. Attackers are modifying open source wallets with sophisticated changes. These can alter the performance of ALL nodes and peers, and thus the consensus among them as well. This could become detrimental enough, similar to a distributed denial of service attack; Possibly for a short period of time, enough to lower the security of all nodes and peers and successfully by-pass all check-sum algorithms for spending confirmed funds twice.

Sounds interesting? To read the full whitepaper download http://bata.money/downloads/Bitcoin_Firewall%20_1.1.pdf. or via bata.io/development

Great job Dev do not throw BATA. I'm planning to start my own advertising company, to attract more investors in BATA.

Please do not criticize this initiative, this is only my first trial balloon

PS. Sorry for the lack of translation

What's the difference how is this coin called?  Tongue There are coins with stupid names like Piggycoin or Sexcoin or urocoin or even Trollcoin and these coins are successfully traded on different exchanges. I like BATA (cotton), it's warm and fluffy it's better than investing in Woodcoin  Smiley

Please note that Bittrex has updated its policy.

They use the BATA logo. How is this possible? Is there any connection between these coins?

Hey. I accidentally stumbled upon on this coin. How can you explain this?  Huh  https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=BRO_BTC#
They use the BATA logo. How is this possible? Is there any connection between these coins?

No connection to BRO. Cryptopia must have put the wrong logo.

When ubernodes, Bata firewalls, bata scamwit?

This coin was dead 2 years ago dev left and suddenly he is back with almost 1 million coins.
The hype starts with promising so many things but not 1 improvement was made.

And look the dev needed to sell 500.000 coins because this project needs funding  Grin

Believe what you want but these guys are just making promises and delaying there "ubernodes" etc
There is no development just a dev and some of is friends hyping and selling you a dead project.

The Wallet of the dev said it all and the blockchain doesn't lie

Bata was never dead.

Yes I did have to sell 500.000 coins (over a period of time) that I paid for myself, that no one gave me, or I premined. No I did not make money as I bartered with coins for some development work. Either way they were sold a long time ago, so I am not sure why you keep referring to it.

Get your facts straight.

Development shows on Github/s - where are you looking?

What are you contributing to the community, absolutely nothing. You come in here like some wannabee with authority.  You have no idea even how to substantiate your claims, because you cannot read the blockchain correctly, you have no access to buy or sell prices. You obviously cannot read, understand anything concerned with Github.

You sit back, talk shit and hope that someone sells their Bata cheaply to you - that is pathetic.

Did you check my wallet again cry baby? This time I added - do you want to broadcast that? Do you want to broadcast that I am also mining 24/7 too, so I can increase my Bata?

Bata has not had free ride, with investors blindly handing over large sums over bitcoin. Bata worked hard to get to where it is. I have paid for everything - not you, not investors.

Go check Bittrex sleuth, look at all the BTA in their wallets. Ask those who keep their coins on Bittrex how much they have contributed to development - ZITCH.

Go spread your utter crap elsewhere you poor excuse for a human being.

Guess what princess - according to the richlist, my wallet holds the largest percentage of BTA (STILL from years ago)
