My main Account: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=359905
Name: josef2000

Why have I been banned today?! The ban reason says insubstantial post+sig ad
My posts were not insubstantial etc in any way(at least in my opinion). So may any moderator please give me a more detailed reason? Would be great to hear what I actually did wrong.

If there is a reasonable reason, I wont to try to complain, but now I just dont know what I did wrong and have no clue why I got this punishment.

Thanks

Regards,
josef2000

EDIT:
Ban time is 60 days
Why have I been rebanned for ban evasion?! And the ban period is "extended"Huh I am NOT bittyfree or someone else! Pleaseee... Forum mods or admins, sort this out.
I have has trades with bittyfree (Escrows like Quickseller, may you confirm it???). I have known him since I startes using bitcoin, he started a faucet bittyfree.com (Equinoxx-the designer please confirm) - I helped him setting it up, thats why we have good contact.

Forum mods, please, reply once Smiley

It looks like BadBear has finally gotten most of the 'low hanging fruit' and going after less obvious spammers.
most of your posts tend to not really add very much/anything to the conversation and seem to be rarely replied to. No one replying to you is a sign that your posts are insubstantial.

This is a discussion forum and if no one is saying anything back to you then you are just constantly talking to yourself.

Funny, I hadn't got a report about OP yet, as far as I remember..

First ban that happened in a while. Badbear is in action. Cheesy

I am also interested in knowing reasons for the ban so I know better what to look for since I can see worse posters there - esp. hiding in the Speculation and Altcoin Boards. Just don't want to make guesses, so curious..
I think, it was because of one or two posts that was obviously insubstantial (that is difficult to find) rather than the whole post history being bad?

Well, 1 or 2 posts dont really matter in my opinion. Why cant I have some freedom and post what I wanted to say? I cant dont want to just lengthen for example "hello" to "hello there, I am josef200, I am xx years old and using bitcoin since 2012." There were some posts that I could only reply with that without adding any unneccessary content, maybe you take these posts as spam and insubstntial.

There are members out there that posts around 50 posts a day in the speculation board that only consists of 1 sentence and wear a signature and still not get banned. So why was I?
I am expecting a reason and proof , not something like:
Some moderator banned you for 60 days because you posted insubtantial posts with a signature ad. So we will leave it as it is because we are the Moderators and you have nothing to say.
Not trying to insult you BadBear, but thats typically you... Dont take it serious, you are not a bad person. I know being an Admin/Moderator is a hard job, cleaning all that spam and other things. But just make decisions based on your current mood is just not right.

So, may any Moderator or the person that banned me stand out and speak? I dont want to be guilty for no reason. If there is an actual reason, please tell me Smiley

I dont think moderators ban you for short posts if they are not needed to be bigger like when you post a bid on the auction section, or your address in the games and rounds and stuff like that, im pretty sure they dont, if they do they shouldnt

There are no official rules for this forum, because people find loopholes in clearly formulated rules, and exploit them. The moderators can ban you if they feel it's the right thing to do, they don't owe you any proof.

I acutally took the time to look somewhat into this. I went through your post history and think it was because of your post history as well. I'm not knocking you in no way at all because alot of your posts, I can see myself quoting some of the same "types" of comments. But the main reason I think your banned is not the quality, but the number. If you had excellent quality in your posts, then I do not think nothing would have been said. Lets review.

Today 11 posts before you were banned.
Monday-6
Sunday-20
Saturday-0
Friday-25
Thursday-17
Wednesday-21
Tuesday-9

Total *109*

I would imagine if you cut that number in half you may not have received the ban. But you got over 100 posts in a week. I would try to cut that down some if I was you.

The number of posts really does not matter, as long as the posts are not insubstantial. There are people who make those many posts in just a couple of days and are perfectly okay, because their post quality is fine.

Have you looked through his posts? They are the same "quality" as the post you just made or the post I made prior to it. Are you suppose to type a novel to something that really only needs a sentence or 2?

I might have send you this -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1039068.msg11222949#msg11222949

I think, it was because of one or two posts that was obviously insubstantial (that is difficult to find) rather than the whole post history being bad?
Well, 1 or 2 posts dont really matter in my opinion. Why cant I have some freedom and post what I wanted to say?

You are free to post what you want, but the moment you are selling your signature you will be judged differently when in doubt. There are elaborated versions of spam. It might not have been your intention to spam either, but your intention does not transfer over the net. E.g. a rephrasing of an existing post as I linked above, which makes it seem like a contribution while in fact you are just repeating what was already written by someone else in your own words. This often happens if people just read the title or OP and quickly write an answer instead of reading the entire thread IMHO. Lately its happens to me that I read 2 or more pages of a thread and prepare replies to posts only to see someone else has already answered something very similar. If the argument was already posted it does not contribute anything to the discussion if I just repeat it. I just have the example given above and I will not go through your posting history to dig up more.

I cant dont want to just lengthen for example "hello" to "hello there, I am josef200, I am xx years old and using bitcoin since 2012." There were some posts that I could only reply with that without adding any unneccessary content, maybe you take these posts as spam and insubstntial.

The length is not the issue here. A political speech might take several hours without anything of value being transmitted. On the other hand a single word like "yes" can be helpful and in some cases and thus contributing.

There are members out there that posts around 50 posts a day in the speculation board that only consists of 1 sentence and wear a signature and still not get banned. So why was I?

If you think others deserve a ban, report them. Pointing fingers does not improve your position though.

I am expecting a reason and proof , not something like:

From my experience: you wont get that.

Some moderator banned you for 60 days because you posted insubtantial posts with a signature ad. So we will leave it as it is because we are the Moderators and you have nothing to say.

60 day means its not your first ban, but your last warning. The next on is permanent.

Bans are typically handed out by BadBear. Keep in mind that "constructive", "spam" or "valueable reply" is subjective and from what I have seen BadBear does not take this lightly.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

You were banned for insubstantial posts and running a signature ad - don't waste the moderator's time when the reason is clear.

To be frank - your opinion doesn't matter.   Undecided

I can confirm the following:
*I escrowed a deal between josef2000 and bittyfree roughly two weeks ago.
*The terms of the escrow was that both bittyfree and josef2000 would each pay a portion of the escrow fee
*josef2000 was selling an item
*due to either confusion or otherwise a misunderstanding josef2000 send a small amount to the escrow address in order to pay for the escrow fee instead of having the amount be withheld from him upon the release of escrow.
*the escrow address was 1AeBVpGTgAamqVvvoiQTxu7NehvZD37Jnx
*the address josef2000 requested funds to be sent to after escrow was released was 12cp7RTVgo1cpSyV99uGyc1oz74eYnQir3
*the address josef2000 sent funds "from" to pay his portion of the escrow fee was the same as above.
*I have not looked into any further blockchain connections (nor other connections) beyond the escrow service that I provided.
