You've got to be kidding. Really? why do you have to come in here and troll everyone here? Haha! Love the name mate. I guess I just have to troll because I'm Legendary now. Normal posts aren't doing it for me. Turns out you LOVE this name. I mean I LOVE THIS NAME! ALSO I HAVE HAD AN EPIPHANY! Patrons can donate MORE than $20 WOW The real question is... why is anyone donating at all? That is what vexes me now. Ps. Video coming soon on why people might still be donating!

If people are donating more than $20, they must also be donating less than $100. So assuming they're donating $99 each, the most georgem should be getting per month is $396 But he is getting much more.

Or maybe when they checked out on the patreon website they did not click the $100 slack invite reward? Regardless... who cares?

It's been going very well for Spreadcoin this past month. I thank my patreons for their ongoing support, which has helped me to decouple from my dayjob a little bit. Big things are coming in April. I was also able to completely fund all GPUs and the Raspberry Pi-Cluster through this recent rise in the SPR price.
Stay tuned for massive news in April! :-)

Is solo mining still the only option here? I dont know if I want to leave my computer running for days at a time just hoping to get lucky and find a block.

I believe the whole point of SpreadCoin's algorithm is to prevent pool mining.

IMO pool mining in fact adds to decentralization rather than centralization. The real problem comes with ASICS or any device where the supply can be limited by the the producer like with what we are seeing with bitcoin. Miners have the power they do because they have in person connections with asic manufacturers. The lack of pools will eventually create the outcome where a few people are running huge GPU mining operations because they know they eventually are going to find a block as opposed to someone who is just going to go to a coin that can be mined in a pool and have their work paid more reliably.

yes don't worry you can find plenty fo block with one gpu, i'm mining with one 1070 and i'm finding 6 blocks per day on average, spreadcoin use block time that are 1 minute so it's good for solo

I keep running into a problem where my miner bugs out and says found a solution nonce result nonce does not validate on cpu. Are you just running the basic example bat file ? Does the miner have to be placed somewhere in particular ?

I've never seen the problem with it not validating.

Seems to be working okay for the time being. I was overclocking my 1070 which might have been the problem, I guess well see if I find a block. Btw was the testing masternode idea for spreadcoin dropped?
Edit: It looks like service nodes are the masternodes of spreadcoin, but I cant seem to find a definitive guide to getting one started. If anyone could be of help and link a thread/guide or something I would be very appreciative.

I have 2 GTX 980's and my wallet is encrypted so I had to put the miningprivkey=<privatekey> in my .conf file

Are service nodes released yet, or only on the testnet and we have to wait for the block explorer to be released?

When the original developer (Mr. Spread) left (suddenly dissappeared), they were in the middle of being tested. This was many years ago, and you can find the thread on spreadcointalk if you want, it's pretty easy to find.
