Damn! never thought that sell order would fill!
Looks like Spreadcoin balloon  is getting pumped  filling up with Helium causing it to rise....  Wink
Wow . This coin is just starting too moon. and deservedly so. I predicted 2017 would be the breakout year.
I always said this coin has been vastly under rated and priced. Its been by far my most profitable coin to mine since I got into crypto,
and still is ....and finally its being noticed.  the secret is out folks...better buy now because...

50k sat coming soon moon!

GO SPREADCOIN!!!

I don't want to sound mean in anyway but after the snapshot is taken for Helium, spreadcoin will be 1000 sats the day after... possibly lower... It's sad really because I have loved spreadcoin for soo long, it was the very first coin I found when I got into crypto and the very first coin I started mining...

I saw no real technicals of whatever this helium business is, and it said something about a "swap" taking place in March, but that has since passed and it doesn't even sound like a swap since you would keep both working coins. It sounds more like a "dividend" of sorts for spread holders.

Not sure how that project will go, but it sounds like if they do well, SPR benefits too. SPR is established, working, and has consistent development. HLM is talking about patents and stuff that can take a lot of time. Once it launches or even just decides on a mining algo, etc...then maybe your comment could be valid. For now, let's just all benefit from collaboration and leave the FUD to other sh*tcoin threads here.

The Halium ann was started on march 1st... look when the price of spreadcoin started going through the roof... march 2nd... I have been mining spreadcoin for over a year and a half and have never seen it above $.07 a coin... I don't know what kind of "FUD" you are talking about but it's not a dividend in anyway, Helium is going to be its own 100% separate coin, so once people get their equal amount of Helium from the spreadcoin that they own they are going to dump their spreadcoin, I am never going to sell my spreadcoin personally but I guarantee others are going to do so because a lot of people are buying spreadcoin and sending the price through the roof because they know that Helium is going to be worth a lot down the road and they want to get in on Helium early...

Whats with the newbies trying to impersonate devs account name? Hilarious  Cheesy

Still developing this coin? Btw how is it still unique with pools present?

This is an EXTREMELY old question/argument that is answered in this thread many, many times.  Ocminer has a way through a private miner to allow you to mine on his pool however it is a trust/trust relationship.  Mine at your own risk.  With that said, I like Suprnova pools very much and have never had any problems mining his/her pools.

Cool, I guess it should be added to OP then.
I like suprnova pools as well, but this kind of shows there is a way around the main principle.
On the other hand no hash reported at the pool anyway.

Yeah I've stopped the pool as there were no miners interested in mining for quite some time. I can reopen it of course if needed

So I have tried to contact ocminer through PM and directly through his suprnova.cc website and for whatever reason I'm not important enough to get a response from him.

I am asking if anyone knows where to get the suprnova spreadminer so that people can mine on the suprnova pool for spreadcoin. I used to have the special miner needed to mine on the pool but that was a while back and I no longer have the suprnova spreadminer on my computer. A link to the special miner used be be posted on the getting started page but it is no longer there.

I saw your PM but couldn't reply yet, sorry, the old github account with the spread stuff got deleted and I don't have
the sources of the miner anymore, I need to look through my backups and find it, I wasn't expecting anyone wanting
to mine this coin again after all these years. However nethash is very low, you can just solo-mine and you'll be fine.

Oh, ok. If you are able to find those backups that would be awesome. I did find a link to the sources in this very ANN because I went through every page trying to find a link to the actual miner, I'll will go back through and link all the sources that you linked back in the day.

Days of Spread are over. Github accounts get removed, sources get sold and people that wrote the code kill each other. I was one of the early adopters and witnessed the rise of this coin when it was in its infancy, and made a buck through trivial buying - selling on ccex and bittrex. I even had the miner somewhere in the trashcan. If it's still there I will upload it.

I like how both of you have to bring up how long you've been with SPR, as if to convince people of doom and gloom you mention.

Well....if we're doing that, I was with this coin from day 1 and mined quite a bit in the beginning with 20 nvidia cards.  I have since gone down to 7 cards and they have run rock solid in a milk crate in my den 24hrs a day for more than 2yrs straight now. I didn't have the time to mess with switching coins/algos after getting my last job and SPR gave me no reason to once I saw the roadmap and all the great things being worked on.

Nobody knows what the future holds, but out of all the old and established coins, the potential awesomeness here puts SPR definitely near the top of the list.

**FYI: Nearly all alt coins with a working chain have seen boosts since early March.  Most coins that have not had any movement besides down for years went into definite buy territory around March 13-17 and then spiked up. Plenty of charts out there, so have a look. Not BSing ya or shilling SPR over other coins, just putting the truth out here in case it helps anyone.

I mined at launch. There wasn't a GPU miner on day one, in fact there wasn't one for weeks, so cool story bro. Keep "putting the truth out there". Anyone who thinks SPR moved for any other reason than HLM is delusional. This community long ago stopped trusting Georgem's deadlines and projections, since basically none of them have ever been met. Until a real, tangible, public release comes from him, attributing any current claimed development and hand-waving as the reason for price movements is just silly. We're talking years of vapor at this point, why would people suddenly get excited for his 37th cry of wolf.

...I never said I mined day 1 with GPUs, but yeah, GPU miners came out a few months later and I switched my rigs over to spread right away and mined off and on for first 6 months while switching a few times to different coins.

I remember a few deadlines not being met or being overshot, but i thought a couple had valid reasons from what I remember.  Either way, when he was the only guy doing all the work, we could only expect so much.  Now that the community is helping to test the releases and is supporting him through Patreon, things seem to be progressing at a decent and consistent pace. You could donate and play around with the updates that have been released if you really wanted, but if it's not finished enough for live chain, why should it be released here to cause confusion for the average user?

http://spreadcointalk.org/ is where the important stuff is happening if people are looking for more exact details on progress.

(and believe what you want as far as the reason, but even CANN has flipped bullish....and that was long abandoned, but since the chain is still functioning, people are throwing some money into it. I could post a bunch of charts of the many alts I've done TA on, but this isn't the place for that.)

what diff retarget is spreadcoin using? i see that some retard with 10-20 rigs is doing pool hopping, to try to catch more blocks

well you are wrong, spreadcoin was traded for nearly 70k satoshi in 2015, the fact that was not worth much like it is now, is because bitcoin had a shitty value, but that's is another thing, people need to look at the value in bitcoin not in dollars

current spreadcoin value in bitcoin is pretty low compared to the all time high, i see potential for 100k satoshi

good point. your post made me check past Spreadcoin fiat value.

to wit... Around 1/2015 the Spreadcoin ATH of 68k sat  was at time worth 14 cents  (btc was at $213)
today Spreadcoin is valued at 34 cents per coin. (stats from CCM)
we are indeed at ath (in terms of fiat value)

not too shabby......

GO SPREADCOIN!!!

What are the fastest miners for nvidia and amd GPUs these days? The ones linked in the original post of this thread are super old, so I suppose there are newer and faster miners out there?

i believe the fastest nvidia gpu miner is currently the geforce GTX 1080 ti.  not sure what hashrate you get for spread mining.

By the "miner" I mean mining software, not the hardware. 5MH is kinda sad for 1070, I've seen people mentioning 8-9 MH with 1070 in the sp-mod thread. But that's probably with the paid miner, not the free version. At 5MH it makes no sense to mine Spreadcoin. Sad
