Did the snapshot of the blockchain already happend, or why is spreadcoin tanking so hard. In the last days it dropped to 1/5 of its original price
Yes, already But bittrex will not support helium Its sad that bittrex will not list helium on their trading platform so we only have cryptopia as the first to list HLM. SPR tanking the price is predictable but to think that it would go down from 60k sat to 8k sat in just a matter of hours is devastating to those who buy at the peak.

I think that belongs into the HLM thread. It's a different coin, so keep talk about it there.

So how much longer do you guys think the aftermath of this split is going to take? Will we soon (< 7 days) see some recovery? Or is this going to be a heck of a long Hodl? Was hoping that support was found on 9k yesterday, but apart from some short upward movements, the decrease still does not seem to have bottomed out (at least it's gruadually starting to drop less steep).
Futhermore, it sometimes seems like someone (or maybe a group of people) is trying to purposely push the price of SPR down. Everytime the price seems to start an up-run, it is immediately nipped in the bud with huge sell walls. Are we talking about a vendetta of some sort here? Devs or whales accumulating for a giant breakout in the near future? Or am I missing something?

It's probably not malicious, more likely many of the people who bought Spread in order to get Helium are jumping at any increase in prices to try to get something back of their investment (not counting what value Helium will have).

@georgem a simple question everybody wants to have answered (yes I've read this topic to a few pages back): will you continue to work on Spreadcoin? If yes, I can't find any recent development on Spreadcoin. The only thing I can find is this: http://spreadcointalk.org/index.php?topic=727.msg4684#msg4684 in which you are saying you are working on multiple things (vague) and on the wallet. The video's you refer to are months old (which doesn't have to be an issue, but it's also nothing on which I can make up if you're active on the project or not). Please lay down your plans in a few clear words to us. New and current investors very much would like to know about this. Thanks.

I would be more confident with the coin that has been developed since 2014 is Spreadcoin in compare with new coins that have not been proven, let alone support the exchange that only Cryptopia.
I have read the thread from gjhiggins it sounds like more selfish as a new person that he just joined in 2016. Because all the issues must be solved, commitment and consistent towards the vision and mission of the future as a long-term project of course.
I will remain faithful to Spreadcoin as well as I hope the development team will be more faithful than the coin holders.
Come Speadcoin, all the problems can definitely be solved with commitment, humility and hard work.
Keep Spirit..!!!
I'd recommend you doing a bit more research on the project's history. Gjhiggins' involvement goes back a tad further than 2016. Developed since 2014 implies work has been ongoing since then. No evidence supports this claim. The development team is comprised of a single individual who has demonstrated his inability to work with others in any meaningful capacity. He is also a liar. These are partially the reasons why only a handful of vocal community members remain following hlm's snapshot. Even with the massive sell off, I'd say it's considerably overvalued.

Literally the only thing that has been delivered is a vanitygen that nobody really wanted.
Hehe, I remember asking for it originally. The novelty wore off quickly, I am sad to say.

This is a 3 year old coin and I hope that someone could bring a new plan to the project and really consider to keep working and developing it. It's a shame that all the support it had was because of the HF but I think this is the bottom and we will now see a new rise of SpreadCoin with an expansion of team members, new vision and strategy.

um... Well, there was this thing called Helium that was announced and ......ahhh, come to think of it... nm. so.... when did you wake up there, Rip Van Winkle? I wonder if the apparently increasing tendency to not read up-thread is a consequence of increasing numptiness or is merely a consequence of the limited screen real estate on fondleslabs seriously impairing the UI of a web app designed for desktops (c.f. bitcointalk's SimpleMachinesForum implementation) Cheers Graham
