You cannot make this change without an immediate hard-fork: https://github.com/niitassin/XNAPoS/blob/fc867b3c266028a30413720aade48a6cec31c140/src/main.cpp#L989-999

By changing the proof of stake method, you are ensuring that older clients will see that the generated reward is too high and reject blocks from new clients with the relaxed algorithm, even before block 12500 when the algorithm switches over to static rewards.

Edit: And newer clients will be unable to verify the previous blocks in the current blockchain.

Edit 2: This update is fundamentally broken anyway - you check nTime to determine whether or not block 12500 has passed. Unfortunately, nTime refers to block time. nHeight is the variable that refers to block height.

Test your changes before committing them and releasing a broken product.
