Ticketcoinhttps://i.imgur.com/Seo5mZ4.pngTicketcoin is the first ever coin to debut a new form of PoW and PoS mining named Lottery Mining. You can mine as normal and get the standard reward of 250 TKT. Or you can mine using the new lottomining mode. With lottomining you have a 1 in 50 chance of finding a valid block then you will be rewarded with a 100 times multiplier being applied to your reward for a block. For PoW it is the same as a 25,000 TKT reward or for PoS it would be 500% interest. There is a risk to doing this though. You have a 1 in 50 chance of it being invalid! So you must decide if you want to take the risk or not. The technical details for how lottomining works is as so. In the reward code it runs the current block through a random number generator. If the random number matches then you get the extra reward. If the random number doesn't match though then the reward should be normal. Since the transaction for receiving rewards is set to 25000 TKT it won't be valid. And changing the transaction will change the block hash. Pools are recommended to try creating a lottomining pool seperate from their normal pool so that prospective miners can try winning the lottery! Lottomining also applies to PoS to yield higher interest at the risk of finding less blocks and thus less TKT. To use lottomining, just place lottomining=1 in your configuration file Specs:Algorithm: X11 POW/POS Ticker: TKT Approximate Max PoW Coins without lottomining: ~2,520,000 TKT PoS Starts on Block 10080, about 7 days of PoW mining 5% Annual Interest 0.5% premine RPC Port: 7998 Wallets:GitHubWindows walletvirustotal checkThere is a minor problem with the windows wallet. When you run it the first time it crashes. If you run it again though it works fine. I'm working to fix this issue. addnode=45.56.64.32 Exchanges:C-CexEmpoEXCryptotradeBlock Explorer:http://cryptobe.com/chain/TicketCoinLottery mining pools:These pools are less likely to find blocks but when they do the reward will be 100 times more than normal! https://tktlto.suprnova.cchttps://tkt.minerpools.comhttps://tkt.coin-miners.info/ Normal mining pools: ipoMiner (direct port 3601) Suchpool SuprnovaLater plans:There will be a lottery site setup so people can participate in lotteries with Ticketcoin, Dogecoin, Bitcoin, and more. In the beginning stages this will use a portion of the premine to seed the lottery and for development and marketing. More details for this will be released later.

I'm not sure of a way to estimate it without knowing the hashrate for lottomining.

I am pretty sure those estimate numbers are inflate by the X100 and 1/50th odds. 15Gh is not getting that many coins or even close.

I am pretty sure those estimate numbers are inflate by the X100 and 1/50th odds. 15Gh is not getting that many coins or even close. Huh ??! I've even posted on the TKT-LOT and TKT-NONLOT Pools in red in the header how it works. There is a non-lottery pool where you get 250 coins for every block. Blocks are found on a regular basis (ideally when the done percentage says 100%) and there is the lottery pool where you get 250.000 coins per block BUT there is a 1:50 chance that the coin finds a block, so a block is not found ideally at 100%, its found somewhere between 0 and 50000% ... (the coin's code decides by "throwing a dice" if the blocks get accepted or not.) It's like a lottery.. Thats what the coin is all about Thats why there are two separate pools for it.. tkt.suprnova.cc and tktlto.suprnova.cc .. and thats why there are two separate categories for pools in the OP

I guess this coin is dead now since the code is messed up. https://tkt.minerpools.com/index.php keeps finding a "lucky" block every few blocks or so. Too many coins out there now. Waste of time mining this. Wish dev tested this code before launching this coin. Not sure what you mean, thats exactly how it is supposed to be, https://tktlto.suprnova.cc works exactly the same way, if everyone is just mining on the lottery pools, the found blocks are all "lucky"... our pool - http://tkt.binpool.com/ - found blocks correct too

Didn't know it worked this way. I was mining on the "non-lottery" pool and then checked the other pools and they were making 100x as I was making 1x. This coins value will be like 1 satoshi since the 15Gh/s miner is making 444,542,818 coins per day. NO, read the OP. How can you tell if they matured correctly or not?

You can tell if they "mature" or not if they show up or not i.e. get listed by the daemon / accepted by the blockchain. Imagine you throw dices 10 ft away and expect them to show "27".. You then walk over to them, they do not show 27, you throw them again, walk over again, again not 27, throw again, this time they show 27 etc...

This is just speculation on my part but:
With most of the hashrate being on the lucky pools the diff has to go very low in order to sustain the desired block finding rate which means that way more than 1 out of 50 blocks are lucky blocks.

With the average diff of 50 and block reward of 250, it only makes 0.10BTC/GH/Day and the rental for X11 is 0.30BTC/GH/Day. So somebody who got the lucky block earlier had to dump a huge load and ruined the price for everybody.

Are those coins valid though or invalid? Because it looks like many pools have solved the 25,000 blocks but later on they don't mature. No idea what is the true supply.

I thought of this. If most people are mining on lottopools then if you switch to a normal pool with the lowered difficulty then this pool will find blocks 49 times faster and it'll balance out. Also sorry for the mistake it's not Max PoW coins, it's the approximate max without accounting for lottomining. Clearly the supply will be a bit more with this many people lottomining

I'm using cryptobe for block explorer hosting and they've assured me it will be up and running in 24 hours. Even though the luck of miners on lotto pools is much greater than I expected this does not compromise the protocol and once PoS is active the large coin increase won't be happening anymore.

I never got how people are sold on "rarity" like sync or 42 and i think there's ONE coin or some stupid stuff like that. People should look at current and potential market cap not coin supply. EDIT: Also on a brighter note.... The premine percentage is shrinking sorry dev

Lottomining also applies to PoS to yield higher interest at the risk of finding less blocks and thus less TKT.

There is now a block explorer located at cryptobe. You can now use this to audit the blockchain and to check on transactions. If you have not tweeted or contacted Bittrex about Ticketcoin, please do. You can tweet them xchange or email them to request Ticketcoin to be added support@bittrex.com. I know they'll add Ticketcoin eventually, but I have a few people really wanting me to start a campaign to get Bittrex on board.

Diff works blocks crawling along super slow.
I heard that digishield was the best for launches, so I chose it for PoW. Glad it's working properly You think you could eh.... cripple dem digishieldz somewhat so we can uh.. have a little fun ..... snail pace pow blocks ....... kinda of funny cause that's how it is supposed to work but with all the broken diff retarget ninja instamines etc. I was starting to accept that as being the norm................

I will be announcing some plans after PoS is activated so that there are not so many coins being minted and the price can remain more stable.

Looks like there will be around 25 million but everything evens out, market cap is what matters. And yeah looks like the 1 out 50 lotto mining is making for a slower pow chain.

That's only 500% in a full year. Also, I am unsure if you lose all your staking weight if you get an unlucky stake. Also, at the rate the blockchain is moving, the POS may not start for another few weeks.

Block height should be twice as much at the moment according to the estimated 7 day total. Probably because of the rejected 49 blocks from the lottery. Could be two weeks total at this rate, so still a lot to go before PoS.
Dev: Are you working on anything for ticketcoin during PoW? you could also cut PoW short like 5k blocks instead of 10k - we're currently on block 3,813

100% agreed

Well I'm trying to keep the blockchain moving, and keeping coin supply down by mining normal blocks. But I'm all alone on suchpool right now. Also, buying more hash that the 10 Megs I've rented will only have a negative effect on the difficulty. Not sure what to do.

Hi folks!
What can we expect dev, from this coin? Can you give us a update on what is planned for this coin?
The price is terrible low, and alot of us want some news, that can make the coin popular among the traders (profit)!
I will be announcing some plans after PoS is activated so that there are not so many coins being minted and the price can remain more stable. PoS Starts on Block 10080 We are at block 9336... so only 700 blocks left. I hope there will some cool stuff from dev.

again 10% of all supply in sell wall at 10 sat. this plus no news from dev = 1sat and end of story. Another one bites the dust. EDIT: now it is actually 20% of supply at 7 sat. Dev dumping.

Well the wallets are no longer able to connect to a node... there are no known nodes as of right now - so no network and no way to send and receive coins.
Interesting thing is someone is buying up the coins on the exchanges, at 1 Satoshi. Despite there being no working nodes.
My coins are unfortunately trapped in my wallet where they were staking... so I guess it's just a waiting game to see if this is some sort of play by the developer to accumulate a huge amount of TKT at 0.00000001 and then relaunch the nodes.
I'd launch a node, but I have no idea how to do that.

To connect to the new node: addnode=52.6.216.173
Great coin, lotto-mining staking - Pure POS. We are taking this coin over.

Well I'm having an issue with the DB for the blockchain.
I need a copy of the full AppData folder - less the wallet.dat file - when the last node went down (or closest to it) - around 6/20. A fully zipped copy. Should be about 95 mb or so.
My copy got messed up when we forked it. Because of the time gap. Anyone have this that they can send? Anyone running the wallet and staking as of 6/20 - when the network went down, would have this, as long as they didnt update to the new node I published which seems messed up (My fault).
Let me know if someone can send me the zip file. I'll upload it to the node, and we should be good to go.

New Node is Fully Functional. We will be adding additional Nodes this week to further support the network and relaunch of Ticketcoin V2. A new ANN thread will be launched shortly detailing out the plans for the currency.
SYNCING YOUR WALLET
In your Ticketcoin.conf file:
Remove all old nodes and add only:
addnode=52.6.216.173
CURRENT NODE/FORK This node is the node that CryptoBe Block Explorer has agreed to synchronize its blockchain with. The Block Explorer will be up shortly.
We have also provided the new node information to C-CEX. The coin is currently in "maintenance mode" while they synchronize with this new Node. Once this is complete, you will be able to transfer TKT in and out of C-CEX.
Other exchanges are being contacted with this update.
More news will follow shortly on our relaunch plans and take over!

Coins in C-Cex are locked until they update their wallets; so please only PM me if you have wallet coins. (Prefer to buy the Wallet.dat) so I dont lose coin age.
Thanks!

Agree. I did the same; not sure why they havent just updated the add node. Regardless I'm still interested in buying coins. Depending on the wallet size; I'd go up to 0.00000020 if it's a large wallet. PM if there is interest. Hopefully C-CEX will get the wallet updated on their end. As the network has been up and running fine, including the block explorer, for days now.

Updated to the new node listed. Wallet seems to be working fine and coins are staking, but the C-CEX wallet says maintenance.
Anyone know if they will be updated the wallet node IP?
When is the relaunch/new ANN happening?
Anyways nice to see everything is working less C-CEX. Coin has an interesting concept and Staking rewards are coming in!
Cheers!

Ive submitted a support request to CCEX. All they have to do is update the node IP. Im currently looking to buy TKT Coins particularly if anyone want's to sell the entire Wallet.dat to retain the coin age. Offering 0.00000015 and up for coins; depending on quantity and especially coin age for staking I'd go as high as 0.00000025 (PM offers what you have/age coins etc). thank you!

Bittrex now listing it? If so thats great. I think this coin got overlooked as it was released during the Singular/Positron/Neutron craze. Has a cool feature no other coins use. Hope to see it get on Trex.

Same here with two support tickets so I opened up a third one and that did get their attention "Apologies - we will fix that soon. "

It is now 6 DAYS since I opened my first ticket, 3 DAYS since I opened my second ticket. I have been complaining daily in the C-CEX trollbox since Monday, but they are just ignoring everything! I think it is because they are staking that huge wallet of their like a BOSS - making coins for themselves that belong to us? I can't think of any other reason as to why it would take nearly a week to add a node to the wallet? I think the dev has gone too - Last Active: May 11, 2015, 06:43:40 AM

I can't think of any other reason as to why it would take nearly a week to add a node to the wallet? I think the dev has gone too - Last Active: May 11, 2015, 06:43:40 AM I agree the fact that C-CEX hasn't updated to the new Node doesnt make sense. However; they very well may have already updated; and just not opened up the wallet (still says maintenance). The coin is being taken over development wise by a group I work with. There are already new nodes launched, and a new GIT has been forked called Ticketcoin2. However the new DEV team is holding off on further work until C-CEX updates, or "opens" the wallet; because a LOT of coins are trapped inside C-CEX and those coinholders are unfortunately not able to withdraw or stake at this time. The new node shows multiple active connections across a number of different IPs-- so people are staking. Considering so many coins are help up in C-CEX we will wait a bit longer to see what happens. If they do not add the node (which is very simple and they have been provided the new node information there may be Hard Fork options we could look into with coin swaps, where users who's coins are trapped could perhaps prove ownership of coins and we issue a credit with new coins off the new Fork, and the original fork is abandoned altogether. That's more trouble than I think we'd like to go through. So hopefully C-CEX will just update the Ticketcoin.conf file to include the node. Note to those updating to the new NODE:You will need to resync you Blockchain Data. When doing so the sync will hang on block 10,080: This is where POW switched to POW. Just let it sit... after a short while it will start back up and finish with the POS blockchain sync and be fully synced and you can start staking. If you hold coins, perhaps sending a support ticket asking C-CEX to kindly update their wallet would be helpful. Also; with the re-launch take-over it would be great to see this coin offered on Bittrex. This is the only coin that offers lotto style POS rewards; which are really crazy and fun depending on coin age, difficulty, etc. Please try to get the word out, the coin is already up from 0.00000001 to 0.00000017 and holding... and I think without a doubt once the exchanges are on the new node and work begins again on marketing, adding nodes, expanding features, including some cool wallet features the head DEV wants to implement, the coin will move up much higher. Thanks everyone!

Offering to buy any and all TKT Coins that are not in C-CEX at the moment. I'd prefer to buy intact wallets (with coins aged).
Current offer is 0.00000022 (perhaps higher depending on how many you have/coin age).
Until C-CEX updates wallet to new nodes to allow withdraw; only buying coins in wallets on peoples systems.
PM me!

C-CEX wallet is now synced and has reopened for transfers Was wondering what that jump was. Primary node connections quadrupled in a matter of just a few minutes. Lots of blockchain activity and mining going on with Lotto POS. Nice!

Not sure if they arent in sync or if they just run slow with witthdraws. I made one withdraw of TKT into my wallet, and it took about an hour. The 2nd one I made; hasnt shown up yet. So maybe they just are slow processing withdraws in general on all coins. The first one did come through; so it looks like the Dev got the exchange/node all synced up. Staking now just fine. Strato

Scratch that; it did finally come through. Looks like their server may just be slow syncing. But it's sending transactions both in and out.

I second that - my 10k test withdrawal came through in 15 minutes last night but when I moved the rest this morning the withdrawal did not go right through. Raised a support ticket and it arrived an hour later. I think C-CEX are under a bit of pressure, lots going on and not enough people to do it I guess

TRY THIS GUYS https://github.com/ticketcoin/ticketcoin/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L992Ticketcoin.conf I've hit a couple of those but they do take a while because it is a 1 in 50 chance. I can't read code but I think I'm right on this one - just tried without that argument and the stakes are way way smaller but more frequent. **EDIT** GUESS I WAS WRONG.....IDK

**EDIT** GUESS I WAS WRONG.....IDK Adding lottomining=1 to the conf file gives you a 1/50 chance of finding a a POS block; or rather from what I read in the code; 49 on average are "discarded at random" based on whether the nonce matches the random number generated.
The payout is 100x if you hit it. Now; one would say: Well that makes sense: 1/50 chance with 100x payout, no brainer. But... you could get a 100x lucky lotto POS block payout on a small low age POS block (coin age and coin tx amount); meaning your lucky winner could be a low POS reward. Ive had it, with lottomining=1 on, have POS rewards from 20 TKT to almost 300 depending on coin tx size and age.
Excluding the lottomining=1 in the conf file pays out block by block with no discards; except orphans.
I ran it without for a few days, then with for now. I'll then export just to see how the "days" compare in terms of total POS rewards.
Also; you run the risk of hitting a big POS block, like 300 TKT reward, and it orphans. So theres a lot of variables in terms of the "luck".
But no doubt a very interesting feature not used by any other coins. So it may be a building block to a future fork on this coin or new coins down the road.
Regardless, price is going up... and holding. So I'm staking for now.

Also, looking at the block explorer and on C-CEX, it's a good sign to see that there are not a whole lot of coins for sale or even held in the exchange wallets. Most of the coins have been pulled for staking. It would cost a lot of BTC to even grab a million TKT at this point. My guess as POS matures and the DEV rolls out TKT2.0 which has already been forked on GIT, the coin will move up in price, staking will further increase, and good things will come. I think this coin in many ways flew under the radar for quite a while.

Coin up for delisting on C-CEX I guess this is the beginning of the end.......... if there are no more people interested in this coin, then probably de-listing means the end of the story. Btw., a very short story.

TKT has 1.75BTC of volume in the last 30 days. Needs 4.25BTC in 2 days to avoid delisting.

If you got coins in C-CEX withdraw them now or else they're gone. Also, lotto staking seems to require a very strong network else there will be practically no found blocks so it might be a good idea to remove lottomining from the conf - that is if anyone is still staking

Probably it is over. EDIT: officially over now. Last block seen more than 3 days ago. RIP.
