YOU KNOW WHY
Triangles was launched on July 16th, 2014 in the middle of the shitcoin era.
After a promising start, the blockchain got stuck when Triangles switched from hybrid PoW/PoS to PoS only after a few days.
The original developer abandoned TRI about 2 weeks after the launch, claiming the reason for the stalled blockchain was not his but a community failure.
A bunch of BTCtalk members took over.
Since then the wallet was completely reworked and migrated to Qt5, secure messaging was introduced and a unique faucet was developed. bo
A new TRI home, a block explorer and a hardcoded seednode add to the list of community developments.
The complete history of TRI can be reviewed in the original ANN thread

Extract the bootstrap.dat from the downloaded bootstrap archive.
Copy or move it to "%appdata%\roaming\triangles" (Windows) or "~/Library/Application Support/triangles/" (Mac).
Create the folder if it doesn't exist. Start the downloaded wallet and wait until your wallet has imported the bootstrap.
This may take a few minutes depending on your system performance.
Your wallet should sync the remaining blocks without any further intervention via the hardcoded seednode.

TRIder is a full functional mobile trading application for the crypto-exchange Bittrex. This means you can watch and trade on all your favorite markets from your Android device.
see your balances
see order history
So to short it, TRIder have everything you need to trade on an exchange. As TRIder is part of the Triangles Project, you need to have some TRI in your balance on Bittrex such that trading on other markets is allowed.
The needed amount of TRI is calculated with the following formula:
Amount = ceil(<BTC value of open orders> / 0.05 )*0.5 + 4.5 TRI
Example#1: You have open orders with a total value of 0.132 BTC
You will need (0.132/0.05)*0.5 + 4.5 = 6 TRI
Example#2: You have open orders with a total value of 1.568 BTC
You will need (0.132/0.05)*0.5 + 4.5 = 20.5 TRISecurity:
If you want to trade with TRIder you need to enter your API credentials from your Bittrex Account.
Please note that your API information is encrypted (with a password choosen by your own) and only stored on your device.
This data is therefore not transmitted to third-parties. The used encryption algorithm is AES with Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) and the Password-Based Key Derivation Function 2 (PBKDF2).
Please notice also, that TRIder does not
require the "Withdraw" permission in the API credentials.Status:
Currently TRIder is in an open beta phase. If you have feedback or requests for further releases, please write me a PM or write it here in the thread.Screenshots:
