I will pay $1,000 USD worth of Bitcoins for the domain blockchain.com (not .info)

The domain registration is private and the owner of the contact email doesn't reply.

If you are the owner,  or can contact the owner please PM me.

-----------------Sept-7-2012 Update-------------------------

I will pay $500 USD worth of bitcoin for a simple, verifiable, introduction to the owner of blockchain.com even if he doesn't sell me the domain name.

Phinnaeus Gage,  start your detective work!

Why do two people want it?  Did the .info owner put a bounty on it?

piuk has put a 5BTC bounty on another thread, and before him there was an user looking for it already.

Now this "Blockchain_Helper" wants to contact the owner too, and "World" has replied to every thread about the subject (including this one) with the same message:

Is there any information that can help them to find the owner.thx

Update,

I will pay $500 for simply putting me in contact with the owner of Blockchain.COM
I will pay this even if the owner doesn't actually sell me the domain.

I've been put in contact with someone who claims to be the owner of blockchain.com

We agreed on a price, but so far they have:

refused to prove ownership of the domain.
refused to transfer the domain first.
refused to use an escrow service.
refused to provide any trade references.

I don't know if this person is a scammer or not, so this bounty is still available to anyone who puts me in contact with someone who can be confirmed to be the owner of the domain.

refused to prove ownership of the domain.

That should be very easy and costs them nothing, even changing the whois email would do IMO. I'd say it's some scammer trying to get the bounty.

Or adding a random A record with an agreeded upon IP.

This person claims to be the owner of blockchain.com:

http://www.facebook.com/fannnnnnnnneww

I contacted them,  agreed on a price in Bitcoins,  but they:

1. Insisted that I pay the bitcoins first.
2. Refused to use an escrow service.
3. Refused to provide any proof that they actually own the domain.

They also said many strange things during the Skype chat in regards to the domain.

Does anyone know if this person is the real owner or if they can be trusted?

If anyone needs someone to verify that an entity actually owns the domain or provide an escrow or do domain transfer verification I can help on the technical end. I'd do this for free, too, I just want to see the domain blockchain.com actually used. I can verify that WHOIS history going all the way back to when blockchain.com was registered has included the same 6e5cca004afd476fb202080a04a2d443.protect@whoisguard.com email. If they are not getting notified, they need to update their contact info with Whois Guard.

It should be trivially easy to prove that you own a domain, so if someone refuses to do so I would consider them a scammer.

Also not wanting to use escrow... I can't think of a single (valid) reason to not use escrow.
