Partly inspired by, and probably with major crossover from squall1066's escrow list & marcotheminer's escrow list - (and my need for a international shipping forwarder to point my own non-US customers to)...

Please reply to this topic only with your info in the format below so I can add it to this OP, and keep me informed of any big things happening via PM in case I miss a beat.

Origin country is where you live and will be receiving packages from sellers who live in your same country.
Destination country(ies) are where you are willing to reship to buyers.
Paperwork and legality may vary based on origin and destination country, so the shipping forwarder will need to be experienced enough to ass-cover.

User                              Fee (above actual reshipping cost)                              Links                              Origin country/destination country(ies)

phishead                              negotiable                              https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1195758.0                              U.S.A.

Im searching a forwarder out of USA too at the moment. For occassional letters at the moment. I searched for normal forwarders but the one i found needs some notarized form, so i have to skip that since the cost make this senseless.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

Sounds like https://about.usps.com/forms/ps1583.pdf - some membership services like AAA offer free notary as a benefit. Some credit unions do it for free for members too.

Yes, that form. The forwarder claims its needed by USPS. Though when i read that form then its nowhere mentioned that its needed for non US residents too.

Anyway... i dont think that there is a free way for me to let this sign. Public notary cant be stretched too far i think. Otherwise i could let some random person sign.

Way too much hassle for a simple letter forwarding i think. I hope some offers come in.

I'd have no problem doing this whatsoever, provided the goods are 100% legal.

Legality of the goods is maybe the biggest problem but there are other problems I can think of and that need to be addressed before this thread can take off.

Problem: Legality of the goods.

Possible solutions: Receive only from trusted stores or trusted members. Full description of the contents and if possible photos.

Problem: Goods are legal in one country but not in the destination country. Legal grey areas.

Possible solutions: Importer must be responsible to know what's legal in destination country.

Problem: The goods never arrived to the forwarder.

Possible solutions: Only registered mail can be used. Any party not using registered mail has to assume responsability for lost goods.

Problem: Online tracking shows "delivered" but the forwarder claims he never received it

Possible solutions: Huh I don't know but anyone used to deal with escrow might know how to solve this.

If we can establish some ground rules here I believe many members can start offering this service.

I believe the better positioned candidates are escrow providers. They are already trusted to hold our money so they will also be trusted to send and receive our stuff.

*edit

Possible providers:

I found these threads from the same member but he's not active since Jan 15:

I will buy anything you want from California and ship anywhere

I'll buy anything you want from Costco and ship it anywhere [150 photo walkthru]

Not active since Dec 13: Anonymous Mail Drop/Forwarding

Old thread with some info: why are mail forwarding/mail drop services so expensive?

You have some very good thoughts and the solutions are fine.

Another possibility would be that the forwarder is ordering himself. It would be another service but he could be 100% sure that the goods are legal and he could act when problems arise.

I'm interested in providing a service for buying and shipping goods out from the US to international buyers.
User: phishead
Fee: negotiable
Links: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1195758.0
Origin: U.S.A.

Also, I should note that I will not be dealing with buying/selling/shipping any items that are deemed illegal on the federal level of my country.  If you are interested, please PM me with the details and escrow of choice.

I hope to provide a very reliable service using a reliable shipping method, but all of this is up to you and how you want to risk shipping your goods. So, if you want to buy something with a lower shipping cost that is recommended for your specific purchase... then this risk is placed all on you.

Happy shopping  Smiley
