I'd have no problem doing this whatsoever, provided the goods are 100% legal.
Legality of the goods is maybe the biggest problem but there are other problems I can think of and that need to be addressed before this thread can take off.
Problem: Legality of the goods.
Possible solutions: Receive only from trusted stores or trusted members. Full description of the contents and if possible photos.
Problem: Goods are legal in one country but not in the destination country. Legal grey areas.
Possible solutions: Importer must be responsible to know what's legal in destination country.
Problem: The goods never arrived to the forwarder.
Possible solutions: Only registered mail can be used. Any party not using registered mail has to assume responsability for lost goods.
Problem: Online tracking shows "delivered" but the forwarder claims he never received it
Possible solutions: I don't know but anyone used to deal with escrow might know how to solve this.
If we can establish some ground rules here I believe many members can start offering this service.
I believe the better positioned candidates are escrow providers. They are already trusted to hold our money so they will also be trusted to send and receive our stuff.
