i think the sia will rise, because they want to made a cloud storage, actually they're the only one who have this project (except mistake from me) it cost less than every cloud storage... and look at they're roadmap, this is fantastic.

For a coin that is only listed on 7 major exchanges Siacoin is doing fantastically well! (competing with coins like ETH that are on 400 exchanges) I dont think you need to worry about price gains for this coin it will happen organically. Right now the developers have the breathing space to keep rolling out their excellent program (roadmap is very impressive).

As more exchanges get added and they open up new markets the price will continue to rise naturally without the need for artificial pumps.

Right now in the current spare of dips presents some excellent buying opportunities.
It's also the perfect time to trade in all the clunky old bitcoin that's mined in coal fire-powered backed factories in Places like China and even on powerful rigs in first world countries like Australia still using coal and grab some Sia Coin and maybe some Power Ledger (solar+battery microgrid tech based crypto)  it's our chance to get ahead of non-progressive governments and out of date energy companies and even crypto developers and teach them how serious and determined we the public all are about fighting and abating climate change.

The performance of SIA was great in the last days. I didnt really follow it because Im hodling anyways, but its still really great to see that we are at around 200 sats now, happy to see that it seems to be achievable to crawl back to old all time highs soon. I expect that in Q1 2018 a massive bull run on alts will happen and that SIA will appreciate a lot by that. Looking forward to 500 sats per SIA!

Interesting concept. It's just like Dropbox. Across how many computer would my data be duplicated if I were to store it on this platform? Would it be one, or say ten? Because if it's just one or two people and they decided to disconnect their computer, or their hard drive fails, then I would be doomed.

Each file is stored across 30 hosts with a 3x redundancy, using the Solomon-Reed algorithm for data distribution. This data distribution scheme ensures that even if 20 of those hosts go offline (whichever 20) the remaining 10 are enough to reconstruct the whole file and allow you to download the file.

Besides, hosts are heavily de-incentivized to drop or lose your files, as they lock Siacoins in the collateral that they lose if they don't keep your files with an uptime of 97% at least.
