I would like to bring a discussion here on this thread, actually how do you see the future of Siacoin. I have a feeling that whether Sia will be just a dumping and pumping coin. now you see it has lot of competitors. there are plenty of options for storage spaces for people. So It won't be easy for Sia generate a real value in the crypto world? what do you think?

Competitors? Of course, but the cloud competition is like 10 times more expensive and not decentralized or private. The blockchain competition has a few with white papers only or poor working products. Others like Storj are centralized. However there is room for multiple vendors in this space and for me Sia is my favorite. Why, because the Sia team is has a really top notch development team with great vision and excellent communication. I have been hodling for about a year now, and plan to for many years.

Cloud storage is currently mainly SIA and storj, followed by a giant IPFS that also has distributed storage. It can be said that the three coins are excellent in this field, and they should all be well developed. Tongue Roll Eyes Kiss

Hi,

I've sent all my Siacoin from Bittrex to my wallet on the 31th of decembrer, and I still not received them...
I see that there are issues in Bittrex with the wallet right now. Are my coins lost???

Thanks

what is the status in the bittrex withdrawal history?

It should be that you haven't carried out a confirmation in the money mail. It's all right. It's just as safe to put it in Bittrex. It's easy to sell. SIA is worth having for a long time, and later IPFS comes out to lead the concept of cloud storage to surge

The price trend of SIA is good, and the coin of the concept of cloud storage has a good development space.

Considering next fork, I have problem upgrading wallet from 1.3.0 to 1.3.1.
Till now, I was doing wallet upgrade either replacing siac/siad files with newer ones OR using siac update command. Both ways are not possible in my case for 1.3.0. to 1.3.1 update.
After doing update I can't unlock wallet using siac wallet unlock command - after pasting password it doesn't wait for <Enter/Return> key, but complaints immediately after pasting and doesn't unlocks wallet.
Tried typing password with the same result. I'm not using UI and this way of unlocking was functioning up to ver. 1.3.0. I had to downgrade to 1.3.0. to use wallet.
Any idea how to solve problem or should I wait for next update?

I feel like I keep repeating myself over and over. Bittrex and Hitbtc will not fix there wallets until Poloniex catches up on price. They will keep from arbitrage happening. Keeping the wallets down is what's keeping someone from buying on Poloniex @ .00000350btc and selling at Bittrex @ .00000509btc and or selling at Hitbtc @ .000008702
Until the market catch's up to each other the wallets will remain down.

I don't think that Sia will hit $1 sooner. may be .50 possible..
